After getting the 5th slot, I started saving AU again...
I splurged on a Gareth... I figured "why not" and my kids wanted to play on my account. Better that than an upgrade, or the GEKKO they would end up spending it on.
It was a nice treat for myself, and I thought "what should I save for next"....
I settled on getting some Aphids, and figured the grind/wait would not be so bad....
750 Au came and went, I changed my mind it was going to be Orkans...
Well I just broke 1000, and my thinking has changed again... Maybe a Galahad, thats almost the same price as two Orkans... I'm almost 1/2 way to a Galahad....
But by then I'm 1/2 way to a Lancelot...
The thing is, I'm lying to myself, teasing myself. It is the only way I'm going to get nice things.
Am I the only one who tells themselves these lies in order to save for the things you really want?

That seems like the reverse of what most people would do. You say you'll save for the cheap stuff and then you keep saving when you have enough. I'm sure most people say "I'll save up for a Lancelot". Next thing you know, they have 4 GEKKOs and 3 Zeuses.

"I'm not gonna pay $50 for a frickin' robot." *sigh* I won a jessie out of one of the chests, I love it but wish it was more than a hanger queen for high levels of play.

I always had a set schedule for my AU purchases. Right now, I finished all my slots, 2 Galahads, 4 Orkans (won another in Lunar event) and Fury. Have 3/4 Aphids, and Lancelot, Ancile, Zeus (won 2 in Halloween and Christmas) are waiting in line.

Orkans are odd to get the hang of but NECESSARY. Just as you know shield bots are good, everybody else know. Countering them is of game changing importance.

It's rlly hard just to not throw it away! I waste alot of Au in the beginning buying a gep, 3 gekkos, and speeding up upgrades, now i'still crying for that! actually i'm saving for 5th slot repeating me , every day, "be patient, keep calm, you will do better, you will have usefull things, you do not need to be in a hurry, it's only matter of time" doing that i'm at 3.9k so it'working...nex step 2 orkan...then lance ( or dash we will see) but is better to me to do not think on this or seems to me that i will never reach this goals...just trying to ignore au, as i do not have it!

Yup. And next thing you know you have enough for a Fury. That's how I got mine.

I always saved my gold. Before any purchase was made with it, I needed double the amount on hand before purchase was made. Now thankfully in my twilight years, not as much gold is needed. Now the requirement is 3 times the most expensive bot, before a purchase is made.
Old man. ?

In the game though, gold is better in the battlefield than in the account.

In the game though, gold is better in the battlefield than in the account. It actually depends on how you view F2P and how long you have been playing. I have all the gold weapons and bots I need, which means all and multiples of them, a lot rusting in my warehouse. So I look at it a little differently now. My main concern now is Silver, not gold or WSP. So how you look at something is always relative to where you are at.
