And that, my friend, is why you use ad blocker. Either that or you have adware on your device.

It's not from the forum, per se, it's from one of the banner ads. Proboards needs to vet their advertising clients better, somebody is playing dirty. The "You're Infected!!1!" pop-up warning on Androids is actually incredibly common depending on where you go on the 'Nets. The more 'free' &/or '「popcorn」' in the content area means that much more likelihood that there will be bad actors. In this forum's case it's 'cause 'free' but what can ya do

Maybe add the letters "War Robots" to the general discussion description. Ya ive been to several other forums with android phones and never had that pop up. So wanted to find out whats going on

It's practically impossible to get a virus on an android device.

It's practically impossible to get a virus on an android device. It's not that difficult, all you have to be gullible or stupid. Sometimes the phones come with malware already in them.

Oh IOS has some pretty slick malware that's loose in it too. After all Mac Stuff is BSD Unix based, Android is linux based. They're more alike than they are different. Apple does a good job of vetting their stuff, but they aren't perfect. Googls has gotten a lot better as of late. The big problem is still people going outside their respective ecosystems to get apps. Then there's always the dreaded flashlight apps and those other apps that want access to your entire phone, yet people just click "okay" like a flashlight needs to have the run of their phone.

Or the easy answer; they're just watching too much 「popcorn」.

To run the Test Server you have to enable "untrusted sources" on Android. Maybe you didn't reenable it?

I'm late to the discussion, but worry not, even though there's no tech support sub forum here, some of us are tech savvy people and tech lovers in general.
I've only been getting those standard banner ads on the desktop view (android-chrome) on my android devices, no full screen popups (although i get them occasionally (rarely) when visiting other sites) on this forum. When i do get these popups, the first thing i do is use the trash file cleaner on my phone to clean old/unused files left over from deleted apps, if I'm feeling especially paranoid, I'll go into the file manager and start deleting files that seem shady..
What I recommend you do is just download a cache cleaner like Clean Master (yes I know CM is more of a lie, but it does work to some extent), turn off "allow installation from unknown sources" (settings > Security > unknown sources). If you feel especially daring, manually delete those shady apps. Though if your device is rooted, i dont recommend it, in case you delete a key file that leads to bricking your device (I am not to be held accountable)
Lastly, nothing is unhackable. Security is an illusion. Anti-Virus software only protects against known threats. It rarely protects against zerodays.
