With all of the changes to MM and to a lesser extent the Leagues, most players I chat with in game or from what I read on these forums, let's just they aren't happy. So it got me thinking, what ideas do you have to make improvements, especially the league system. One thing I'd like to see fixed is going to battle against players in higher/lower leagues. I'm currently in Gold II. But last night I went against players from Champion and Master leagues. You can't tell me there aren't enough players in Gold II to keep the competition a little more level. I can't imagine how much of a pain it has to be to figure out a way to match people up vs others at the same level considering there are the 5 robot slots, 12 levels and all of the different weapons. Maybe use the avg. damage from the last 50 matches as a way to determine who gets put into matches/leagues. I know there will always be players that figure out how to beat the system. For example, I went across a player earlier today that had 2 lvl 9 Carnys, 2 lvl 9 Lance, and a lvl 9 Rhino with maxed all maxed out weapons. Yet he was in RECRUIT LEAGUE...it can't be easy to do that considering he also had over 6600 victories..but what do I know.

Odds are you got dragged into a higher end match, not due to a shortage of gold players but rather due to a shortage of champion/master tier in the queue at that moment. Ideally the system should have grabbed an expert or failing that diamond tier player but for whatever reason, you got chucked in to get the body count to 12.
A player with a high end hangar and 6k+ victories is pretty obviously a tanker seeking to exploit the matchmaking system. He's gaming the system and not representative of the rest of that league's members. Recruit league is mostly rookies and a smattering of younger or genuinely inept players.

A mode for squad play. Randoms shouldn't have to endure that nonsense.
Alternate Game modes. People should be able to play with whatever bot pleases them without worrying bout being a detriment to their team. Aka, light bots and whatever non-meta medium bot they choose.
A restructuring of league points for wins/losses. It shouldn't be possible to lose more points than you can win, and the losing penalties seem overly harsh, a disincentive if you will to play. You work hard, get 15 points, then have an off game or weak team, or tankers and then lose 20. Screw that system.
For starters.

Soooo many problems... first of all what is Pixonic even trying to do with Leagues? Here is what they say about it...
"Why did we introduce the League system?
The system of Leagues will let us distribute the continuously increasing number of players in accordance with their skill and will ensure balance between novices and experts of our game. As the number of strong players increased considerably, the need to implement such a system has lately become obvious and we can say without a doubt that in the long run War Robots wouldn't do without it."
Does this really mean anything?
1.) They seem to be implying that leagues will sort players out according to skill, but as everyone has noticed, it doesn't. 2.) In order to do that, the first thing you'd have to do is ensure everyone is on equal footing... and again... fail. 3.) Then there's the "...balance between novices and experts..." What does that mean? Did they mean separation from? That would make sense, but if so... again... fail. 4.) "As the number of strong players increased..." How would they know? Presumably the leagues are supposed to determine this. If they already know this, why do we need leagues again? 5.) "...the need to implement such a system became obvious..." I just love statements like this. How about some data or even a rationale as to why it's so obvious, since the only person it seems to be obvious to is the person who wrote this.
That said, when it comes to leagues, generally speaking they are a collection of teams grouped together usually based on relative skill and geographical location which is formed for purposes of measuring performance within that group. So... basically it's just a yardstick for performance over a given period of time. Normally, leagues aren't used to determine the matchups, they aren't used to distribute anything, and they aren't used to balance... So why would you try to make them do that?
It seems likely they are trying to create an incentive that doesn't involve freely handing out the currency they're trying to sell, and passing it off as necessary to the game so they can get buy-in from the players. While it seems like the current situation would be disadvantageous for Pixonic(they are taking a pounding on their rating in the stores), it may not be as bad for them as it first seems... First, as long as clubbers are running rampant, maxed out players who are unlikely to spend additional real dollars on gold will take the free gold from the players who are far more likely to, thus requiring them to spend more money if they want gold bots and weapons. Second, based on what I'm hearing, it sounds like activity is down by half or more in many clans. This takes pressure of the servers, possibly delaying the purchase of additional hardware and bandwidth... which if you're unfamiliar, is very expensive. Third, while the clubber may drive some customers away, it's entirely possible that a small number of people are actually spending MORE in order to try and catch up. I know it sounds unlikely, but believe me, those folks are out there and some of them will easily make up the loss of 1000 low-spend customers or more, and having a smaller user base that spends more money is a desirable situation with their business model. Fourth, a move like this tends to polarize a community(which it has) They don't want a significant number of players getting together and boycotting their product... there is power in numbers. Finally, if this were hitting them financially very hard and they were like pretty much any other company, they would have all hands on deck working around the clock 7 days a week to get it fixed. Instead, we see them continuing to work on prototypes, we get canned e-mails saying they're not there on weekends, if they bother to answer at all, and most lovely of all we get weak, slap-dash "fixes" that do nothing but mask symptoms of the problem instead of addressing the problem itself.
But hey... maybe it's just me.

Advantage to capturing beacons: My beef is that they've changed the scoring to better reflect the effect of supporting the team. That's all well and good - points given for being on the winning team. Unfortunately it gives no recognition for those who actually do the work. If you're in a team with heavy hitters ignoring beacons and you capture like mad (but still lose) you're worse off then if you'd ignored the beacons too. A points bonus for highest captures would rebalance this. I'd like to see it applied to both teams but even say loosing 5 less points if you have most captures on losing team would help alot. The game below is one of a number I've had with this kind of frustrating result:

You guys all make valid points. In a utopian game, it would be all level, and there would be no drops, or tankers.
Counterpoint: the MM in life isn't fair. Lots of people have more money, better looks, younger, healthier, etc, etc. I roll with the punches in War Robots just as in life. Upgrade what i can, and ignore that which is out of my hands.
I don't know enough about mobile gaming to know how easy or not easy it would be for Pix to make the MM fair and even. I don't know if they would even want to.
Not looking to argue. Just providing a different outlook. Cheers.

League idea. Why can you make 3 leagues. League lvl 1.2.3.4 lvl bots weapons.if you have any weapon or bot 4 and under this league tou in. League 2 lvl 5 6 7 8 weapons bots. Nothing over 8 you stay in this league. League 3. 9 10 11 12. Bots. Weapons all these lvls.. So in theroy.. If im on all lvl 12 bots and weps..say most my clan members logg off but.. Say 4 others join who are new to game are in league 1.. Well i just change my hangers to lvl 4 bot and weps now i can enjoy playing with them.. Every one will have 3 diffrent sets and lvls of bots.. And btw im sure picxonic would make more cash.. It gives freedom to all players to have more fun.
