You heard that right.
In the very beginning all available gear in War Robots was 6 Pack legal. I have screenshots from Aurora Nova's first league match where each side had a single scourge. Our was on a Galahad, their's was on a Lance, but I digress.
Since the December 2016 League season, bots and weapons were restricted to the Wild Bunch and earlier (and excluded the Tempest as well) but after much discussion and a vote in the 6PL Council Discord as of October 13th, 2019, Bolt and Gust are legal in 6 Pack League play.

Cdr. Crimmins , are you a good source for folks that are interested in 6 pack? Or at least someone that can get people pointed in the right direction. I for one have never known how yall meet up or get together. Is it primarily through discord?

This, and the fact that no beacon rush allowed is the reason why I stopped playing 6 pack
Hover should be allowed
Arbalest should be allowed
Lancelot should not be allowed especially the ones with an ancile
See there’s a 6 pack council attempting to balance the game while Pixonic buffs and nerfs bots and weapons as they please. So the council gave up and said “everything predash is OK”, which is just plain irresponsible because they don’t know themselves what is balanced.
There’s nothing unbalanced with beacon rush. It saves you time walking those slow legacy bots through the long maps
And to say playing 6 pack helps you with the real game, no it doesn’t
No one plays with legacy bots anymore, how do you jump a griffin away from an Ao Jun attack or an Ares retribution
It looks like 6 pack plus is getting some treads after all

Seems to me the Gust would be the go-to light kinetic weapon for short-range combat. A little rich for 6-pack league though. If they’re adding the Gust, they may as well add the Sting too. Adding the Bolt seems like a mistake though. |

There are invites to the two main discord’s in the threads I posted about iOS and Android casual fight nights. The games (and league matches) are done in custom mode. No silver or gold, just fun. |

Seems to me the Gust would be the go-to light kinetic weapon for short-range combat. A little rich for 6-pack league though. If their adding the Gust, they may as well add the Sting too. Adding the Bolt seems like a mistake though. Totally agree with you there. I voted against their inclusion (and I have 5 L6 Gusts so I do have a dog in the fight) but the vote went the other way. OTOH the Bolt, at L6, is a slightly different Gepard and highly unlikely to make a significant dent in the 6PL meta. One big reason to include it was due to it's near similarity. So if a pilot had one, but not a Gep, and wanted to use something like that, they wouldn't have to buy a Gep. |

And regular Lances, though strong, are far from indestructible. Banning them would just create a new 'best bot'. As for BR, to each their own. I can't stand BR and only play Domination in the MM. However, there were several Fight Nights where we used Random mode and let Pix choose the game type. So I have had the full 6P BR as well as TDM experience! You should join up and help us guide the process. See if there's support for your ideas! |

It's been heavily play tested on the Android side in Fight Nights already (like, over 30 matches) and lightly tested on the iOS side. I think it adds to a meta which is, like all metas in War Robots, sadly lacking in light bot representation. Among the light bots it is definitely strong but not (imo, at L6) outright the best. It is slightly weaker and slower than the Gep (though has that single dash, not multiple, with a 5sec cooldown), slightly stronger but slower and with less firepower (depending on weapons) than the Jessie, significantly slower than the Stalker (health, firepower and dash vs stealth) and lacks the shield of the Gareth. Outside of all that, light bots are niche in 6PL. Since Nov 2017, when I played my first match, until now, I have records of 955 bots brought to battle by my opponents. Twelve have been light bots. Four Gareths, four Jesses, 2 Stalkers and 2 Gepards. You see them more often, though still rarely, on casual Fight Nights.If the Bolt ups that representation a bit, I'm all for it. |

Thanks for the invite, I am on iOS and my frustration is with the 6/6 crowd They strictly adhered to 6 pack rules because they believe that the glory days of war robots was predash I have long advocated to allow all bots and weapons to create variety and since Pix keeps buffing and nerfing there’s no way for any one to hand pick what will work or not. I told them that if we’re strict on course, players will get bored and quit. They told me to go create my own 6 pack plus council and leave 6 pack pure I sold all my 6/6 gears and use the silver to level up avengers and Ares It seems most people are doing the same, 6/6 on iOS is 1 night a week now |

I do love the 'classic' 6 Pack but am open to the idea of a 6 Pack Plus. The fact is that most active players now of War Robots started well after the dash release in the summer of 2017 and have no fond (or otherwise!) memories of the pre-dash era. They have little to no weapons and bots lying around to use for 6 Pack. Events don't give away magnums and tarans, Leos and Griffins and and whatnot anymore. The Boa, Golem and Shutze cannot even be bought. 6 Pack does indeed need to re-evaluate what it wants to be if it is to remain a viable player run custom comp. |
