I just want to clarify after re reading what i wrote. Because one line didn't really convey my point. I'm not one to be told by "Pix" as to what I have to play and at what stage. I kinda got my back up at Pix a while back when they introduced Bolt and exiled Golem and Boa. They listed tiers of bots like starter bots and mid and top. And we'll their business model is all about our wish to be wanting to be at the top of the leagues. I think that was the turning point to me where I thought. "Bugger you! I'm gonna run everything". And it was the best decision I made. Keep up the lists they are a good conversation starter. I was thinking of this list as well and agree with your sentiments. Here is the Pix version (dated 23 November 2018) Honestly, that just seems like item names in cells in a table: AFAICT it’s meaningless. A jumble of words, no system, no groupings, no organization...or else I’m up WAY too late...

It's from Pix, what do you expect I see it more as a shallow attempt to convey to unknowing players "You should be getting this from this Level" . Sell, sell, sell.

Good guide, but i have difference opinion. Go straight to a bot which can Compete in champion League ASAP. Check which bot is easier to get, aim for it and get it asap. What to do before that? Upgrade it's weapon. For example, TFalcon or Strider is good start. If you can access Ao Jun, Leech, Ares, Phantom, Blitz etc then go for them too. For weapons, only upgrade weapons that is effective in Champions League. For example, Heavy- Grory, Avengers, Redeemer, Ember etc.
You will get to Champion League very fast, but the bad things.... you won't able to try difference bots and weapons.

TBH, Invader is weird. I use it as a beacon capper but also as an ambusher. Reel an Ao Jun in, jump where it lands while it floats down and finish it off. There are several bots that can be used in a variety of ways...I've seen Invader as an opener. Not as fast as other beacon cappers (obviously), but if fighting for center beacon it's nice to have the Invader jump in and tank damage, then hold center off from the Reds for a while. That's what I often do. HB, Loki and Strider get there first. Then I land so the beacon is kept. I had a great opening with a random Loki where we got to re home in Castle. Almost textbook. He got in first, caused confusion, then I land, reds turn on me, and in the chaos he opens fire.

Makes sense, and if I had a second account I'd do this. But it can be tough since you don't get to WS some of these bots till a few months into the game, and if you're F2P the grind is way too steep IMO.

I have found that even when I try to plan out my next steps, you have to adjust when something falls in your lap. What happens if you were working on a Tyr but win a Mender? Or if over the months you get 9,000 components of a Fury? Resources will always be the most important factor in upgrade path (IMO). And I'll sing it with you! Absolutely right about plans going awry...my upgrade plan is constantly modified by happenstance: i didn’t plan on getting a second spectre (deal), a second Glory (SC), two more Avengers (event chest); nor was I intending to move wholesale into the Norse bots, but then I won 8000+ components each.... I also have background projects: upgrading all my OE weapons, pushing things higher. In the NE there’s a bottleneck (for me, anyway) from L7 up on everything; at L8 the cost jumps from 8m to 11-17m and the time is days. So, I like to make sure the stuff I *intend* to fight with is as high as I can get it before I need double-digit Ag. Nothing gets lost, no big gaps in loadouts, then, when I get enough Ag for the next, I've got a real clear idea of where the next bump should show up. Really appreciate the framework, it makes it easier to take stock of what my actual units are capable of. War Robots combat is so immersive it’s easy to get caught up in a battle, being in the bots and reacting to the battle...the dispassionate view is good to have, and compiled, too. Thank you! Cheers.

What a quaint guide.....not to be a buzzkill, but all of you need to check out Rollo thread, the Leach on Leach thread....this progression crap is meaningless these days. My apologies if this upsets up anyone....but,
