Operations is still an amazing deal for $15. I hope others donât buy it as not much of an advantage if everyone gets it. F2P should ignore it. Donât be tempted. I canât afford to ignore it. Iâm semi-retired and can mostly play as much as I want, and as much as I enjoy the game, I donât like playing it (not getting enough satisfaction from playing it) as much as I need to in order to not LOSE resources. Thatâs a big burden to put on a pastime, especially with a price tag on a fixed income. So Iâm pretending I have a strategy this time. Iâm pretending my strategy is to play up to a point where my progress in Ops actually suffers, like normal, collecting the nickels and dimes, the increased frequency of quarters.... once that bogs down in terms of Ops level requirements or whatever, THEN Iâll buy the pass. At this point, I will collect minimum 20-50 levels of triple-value resources in genuinely useable chunks - and ALL the OXP boosters, right when I will 「neat-o」 *need* them. Oh, and a newly recharged and improved hangar.... So. My plan for War Robots dominance...or, parity, if it works, and they donât catch on and nerf/block this for Op3 Iâll see how I do.

Clearly there's something I'm missing out on... please educate me... how the heck do y'all get so much silver??? 1) Be in mid-high Champs, with a single well leveled effective hangar
2) Play a lot 3) Play well
4) Invest your silver resources wisely
Youâve put your finger on one of the things that most annoys me: the logic of the reward system is all wrong. The core of what you just said: to get silver, you must have already have gotten enough silver to make it into mid-Champs. With a solid hangar. For those like me, teetering on the edge of Masters (and not in any particular hurry), thereâs easily a half billion Ag between where I am and where yâall are. Thatâs the silver I want to know how to make: at my current rate of acquisition it will take another three years before I can field a fully leveled MK2 hangar - and I canât even know what might be in that hangar three years from now. I play against and with masters and champs fairly regularly, typically I hold my own with both reasonably well; but Iâve seen more than enough to convince me that my hangar will not hold up in masters, and will not stand up to the increased presence of champs in battle. I think Lyteswitch and I agree that the question is how to get the next half-billion Ag ASAP from *here*. It sounds like thereâs no answer but grind, grind, grind. One of the things about being (semi-) retired is I really am not interested to spend a 「dookie」-ton of time and energy into climbing hand over hand out of the bog. My skills holding me back? Cool, I can work on that Poor strategic choices affecting battle outcomes? Great, I can improve Tactical mistakes and unforced errors costing me and my team? I can learn from this Simply canât accumulate enough in-game resources to put it all to decent use In a human time-frame? That sucks dead donkey 「wee-wee」s. Straight up. I mean, if thereâs no way through the swamp but to slog, so be it; but if there *is* a northwest passage, itâd be good to know

I would have to quadruple my play time and dump rm in order to chase the new carrots. I’m just playing for fun when I can now. About 4 months ago my upgrades Que ran dry for the first time in 4 years. That killed my drive to play this game. Never been the same since. Now I go for weeks without upgrading anything because everything I have is 32 million or more to upgrade.

I would have grabbed this deal (as my second trip into Premium ever), but the Ops nerf disappointment really soured me. I know I’m just one player, but that’s $30 bucks you lost out on there Pix. Ditto. When I saw the price of the pass, I already decide I'd get it and Premium as well. Then I looked at the rewards, and at the increased grind and... well, let's just say I have never changed a decision so fast.

at my current rate of acquisition it will take another three years before I can field a fully leveled MK2 hangar - and I canâ??t even know what might be in that hangar three years from now. Solution is simple: Don't do that! This is not a game, where doing that is a sensible goal, really. For example level 9 Ares or Ao Jun is already pretty ok against anything, so no point taking them any higher (unless you are going to spend money on temporary advantage). Also, you should already be planning to have a Leech in the first half of next year and take it to L9 as well to replace one of your current L9 meta bots.

i guess my plan is to quit the game, then: I have no interest in having a Leech, much less double-timing the effort. I have no interest in Ao Jun either.
Comes down to the burden of sunk cost: keep playing and paying and having less fun, or get out. Not unlike marriage.

Comes down to the burden of sunk cost: keep playing and paying and having less fun, or get out. Not unlike marriage. There is no "end goal" you could work torwards over several years in this game. What you can do, just as an example, is choose 1 or 2 bots which you plan on keeping "forever" and upgrading towards Mk2-12 or whatever. Then the rest of your hanger should be "princess bots" which you take to level 9 (for max speed), and discard for a new ones as they become available. Looks like my T-Falcon is getting the "keep forever" treatment from me. Mk1-12 with Sharpshooter Glory pilot, I don't see giving that up in foreseeable future. Only thing that is going to happen is, the Glory is going to be upgraded to Mk1-12 too. Then I have fresh Tyr (currently level 8), with Sigryn as a pilot, and she already got True Ace skill too, and I got Tough Guy for her just yesterday. So while currently Tyr is not performing too well, I can see it becoming quite tough. Or at least tough enough to justify keeping, for that extra 400 honor points in most battles. Then I have Ao Jun, Strider and Ares, all of which are at L9, and I don't see myself ever prioritizing taking them higher over upgrading something else. One of these is going to be replaced with Leech... Probably Ares because I get 2 medium weps out of it then, unless Leech gets heavily nerfed *before* it becomes available in WS (which, I don't know, might happen?).

You're so bitter, Rollo. Maybe take a break, brother? So much negativity. Enjoy your day--and see you on the battlefield. Nah , Rollo is just waking up to the stupidity Everyone finally is. Pixonic gone jumped the shark with perma phase shift/ princess bot/ last scam. I can barely finish enough games to clear daily tasks now. Yup, I agree 100%. I'm starting to lose interest in playing a ton of games per day. It's still pretty fun but I get bored if it's too easy. Not that I don't get smoked because I do. However if your hanger is too powerful it becomes kinda a snooze fest. Putting in some less powerful bots can be just the challenge needed to bring back more fun. I'm not saying put in a destrier. A bulgasari will do, or maybe a galahad.

I’m just one person but I can’t be the only one. Last time around I was kicking around the idea of buying the Operation Pass. I hadn’t accelerated my game play until much later on, but I was farther than this. Combo of a number of negative changes in the game plus nerfed Op have me at this point.

I wasnât going to get the pass, then foxypotato posted a vid showing the sinister pulsar and the âcheck my 6â skull! That did it, so now Iâm reaping all rewards of this operations, lol
Iâm no shrink, but despite Pix being Pix, I still really like this game, and have played others during the 14 months playing War Robots...but always wind up playing War Robots most of the time.
I donât know why.....IIWII
I play for fun, do not chase meta, do not want to be Mr. top guy, top clan 「deteriorated bum-bum」 and couldnât afford to do so, anyways!
I play to find a good league spot, then stop upgrading. My bots are 9, most weapons 10....so Iâm pretty much done upgrading. There is no way Iâll go into champs.
Do YOUR thing, and have fun. Donât worry, be happy!

You don't need to be mk2 with all the latest gadgets to be competitive. I've been playing two years and have gotten where I'm competitive in mid high champ. The only mk2 gear I have are three avengers and that is within the last 2 months.
The biggest thing is planning ahead. Don't waste resources on garbage intermediate bots. I saved up and went from a mediocre hangar to a really good one. Skipped a few bots in between and was strategic about getting weapons that I could transfer.
I like speed so I skipped the tanks and took a beating for a while. Invaders in particular really pounded me. But.. . When AoJun came out I knew it was what I wanted and I got two and had the resources to speed upgrade very quickly. Now those spiders get squished fast.

I got the deal on Premium, but didn't get the Ops pass. I was actually contemplating getting Premium at full price to make sure I got everything on the Ops pass since I fell short of getting everything last month - but then Raging Typhoon dropped and I was like "nah!"
Maaaaybe if they discount the ops pass towards the end of the season, I'll get it if I'm far enough ahead.

But I'm not grinding (nor am I paying), since my advancement is pretty much time-limited at the moment, and grinding does not really help with that.
