I know many dislike the current meta. At least, I see a lot of complaints. But, I like it.
In my view, there is probably the largest array of viable bots and weapons that I have ever seen in this game. More kinds of options for tactics, better awareness of what your squad mates and enemies status is, which allows for better tactical decision-making, greater variability in terms of bot capabilities.
Crucially, the gap between f2p and p2w has narrowed somewhat, as inexpensive bots like t falcon which only requires 1 weapon, and older bots like lance that most pilots have, are viable again, thanks to new and interesting skills. Even the economy is improved. You can reduce dev times, which have been cut for most weapons, by 40% watching commercials.
Yes, there are downsides. Reduction in gold and lack of better rewards for harder daily tasks; cost of leveling latest weapons; and matchmaking for squads are still problematic, but honestly. 4.31 is my favorite version of the game so far.
If I could make a few minor suggestions they would be: 1) eliminate 1st, 2nd, 3rd healing reward for healers that only heal their own bot. 2) add blitz, rayker, invader weapons nerf to honor reward system. 3) add honor reward for side that fights with deranker (aka, tanker). 4) keep mission rewards at roughly same value / timescale.

1) already done. healing yourself doesn't count towards healing honor pt categories. Just tested again to confirm.
But honestly, healing bots don't really get a ton of late game recognition. Due to the fact you can just use powercells like a crack addict. Makes me sad that playing support isn't optimal in this game.

Somewhat? I just played a match against a guy with 5 Hangars of MK2 lvl 12 bots and weapons. Most of his teammates were running top meta bots(not all MK2 mind you). My teammates were a mix of leveled meta bots and legacy. If that's narrowed, I'd say the Atlantic Ocean is narrow ...compared to the Pacific.

That aside, in the last week, I have spent down 700m Ag without spending a dime leveling bots by watching commercials. So, yeah, even though you can run into a top tier clan when squadding and play in an unlevel match, the gap has still narrowed between ftp and p2w since ftp players can level bots faster than ever before and because of the other changes making older bots more viable.

And to post something constructive, I mostly like the new meta as well. The T-Falcon can be VERY tanky if you max it out and throw crack at it like it's in a zombie rave. The Phantom is a joy to play, the Loki is a fun PitA, and now that the Ares isn't uber-meta anymore VARIETY has returned to Champions League.
Now... the Leech. Not sure on that one. I have one that I just started using last night. I think too many people have 3+ in their hangars already. (Really? 3? So soon? Wow!) I'm hoping the Phantom proves to be a fun counter to the Leech.
And... What are Titans going to do to the meta? Inquiring minds want to know.

I never saw the original post, so I'll just post now. lol. I really like the idea of 3). If you are unlucky enough to have to play with someone who DCs or just doesn't show, you should get ~200 HP or something. You're almost guaranteed to lose (very high percentage). How about if the game doesn't allocate a Key reward to a player, all other players on his team get extra HPs. The line could say, "Down a Man - 200 HP" or something like that. That would go a little ways to alleviating the butt-hurt of those on that team. Just sayin'...
