I've found myself at an utter loss to understand the league system. In fact, after what happened last night I find the rankings highly dubious. so, what happened? When I first started playing War Robots it was right before hunting season. I found the game and started playing it on my phone. I liked it, so when I was on a hunting trip with a friend we both started passing my Android phone back and forth playing the game in the evening after the day was done. When I got home I installed it on my tablet. For a little while I would still log into the phone account and click on the WSP thinking I might play again on the phone, but I didn't. the tablet experience was much better for me. With this in mind that old account was never taken seriously and had pretty low level bots. I had the 3 day Gep purchase $4.99 and the Au I did save I had picked up a Gareth with (promptly slaughtered, as the brits used to toss one into the old silver tier) and I had a Griffin, which again with the old MM was insta death fora noob without proper weapons due to its minimum tier. By the time I stopped using my phone I had a 1/5 plasma Gep, a 1/5 DB Gep, a Thunder Shultz, and a faithful DB Destrier. Last night I decided to play that account and see what happened. To no surprise I was placed against 10/10+ hangars and was crushed. I adjusted my hangar with what I had assuming that I need to play keep away to stay alive at all. I was at the bottom of the losing team 3 times with less than 100k damage. Of the 2 wins I was lucky to see I was still at the bottom. Once with just over 100k damage and once I lit it up and got over 200k damage. I expected to be in Bronze somewhere. Instead I ended up here:  Now compare that to my main hangar when it was first placed into a league where I was on the winning team 4/5, top damage twice (one win and the loss) with my placement in the rest being in the top 3:  Can anyone explain to me what happened? This is not a rant, but a serious effort to identify what happened and why, because such a wild disparity appears throw into question the validity of the league placement system. |

So what is your actual question?
Note that hangar doesn't influence matchmaking any more (at least not much), so changing hangar won't directly change the games you get. Maybe that is the source of your confusion?

The League system plays here, not the hangar anymore. I can change high leveled weapon/bots in a League I want. Therefore it's a mess created by Pixonic.

this is the part that just makes me want to slap Pixonic across their noggin
you can not switch hangars at will. You are stuck. You can't match up with your clan mates unless they all are runnign the same hangar and have been doing so long enough to properly settle into a league together..
So I barely play a dozen or so games a week because of this non sense

Maybe that is the source of your confusion? I know hangar won't change the outcome. The outcome is determined by damage. This is where my question lies when I ask what happened. A hangar barely capable of 150k average damage that placed bottom in every match was placed in Silver I, while a 300k damage hangar with a 72% win rate that placed higher in every match made Silver III. That shouldn't happen. |

I find it quite interesting that it would do such a thing. Seems soooo unbelievably skewed with how the system picks and chooses. I don't remember what my qualifying matches were as I wasn't even exactly aware to pay attention. I got placed in Silver II or maybe it was Silver III with an average damage of around 350k. Now headed into Gold III soon here. I was lucky enough to get into a clan when everything went down where most of the more active players are close enough to squad with. On to trying to solve your problem though. Maybe, just possibly, the League system takes into account the player level and separates the league system for those below max level (30). Something along those lines is the only thing that makes sense to me besides a totally chaotic clusterfu..... of a system. |

Just to clarify, these are two different accounts. Not one account with different hangars. The account that was placed 2 tiers higher has no secret high level bots or weapons. What is in that placement screenshot is the best gear on that account, so it's not like I downgraded bots and then wondered why it was placed so high. It hadn't been played in several months, so the 10 day medal score was 0.

Guys, hes not talking about switching hangars...
I noticed a lot of ridiculously low hangars and player levels in Silver 1... at the top... I think that is the "awaiting successful challenge" section... but either way, they should not be anywhere near Silver 1. I know what you are saying OP, and am absolutely curious as to how you ended up there in what was essentially a new account....

This is a question I've had and been meaning to put up on here but it might correlate to the answer you're looking for. Why do the top eleven in Silver I have trophies in the 1400's instead of 1600's? Then suddenly the top spot is the required 1700 to advance into Gold.   |

Just looking at every angle I can and trying to wrap my head around this. Kind of seems like possibly an overlooked glitch in the system? I mean, come on, there's no way they put it together flawlessly.....right?
One thing that came into mind is some sort of anti pre-tanking was implemented? What I mean is that since they were obviously aware of that as an issue, what if they figured "Hey, lets take anyone who scores averages lower than what our system THINKS they should and throw them wherever we want them anyways." That'll teach people to fail their qualifying rounds! haha
Next qualifying round I might run a Cossack hangar and see if it places me TT!!!!!!!

Has something happened to the mm on iOS? I'm diamond 3 and keep getting put in with expert league players and I haven't ditched a match in quite a while and certainly haven't been tanking so I wouldn't think I would be in the tankers league or whatever it's called

Why do the top eleven in Silver I have trophies in the 1400's instead of 1600's? Then suddenly the top spot is the required 1700 to advance into Gold. Because it separates out all the people currently in the middle of trials, and puts them together as a group at the top. Some of those folks are trying to move up a tier, and some are trying (maybe) not to move down. Then 'below the line' you have all the regular folks in that league. Or at least a selection of them you get to see. |

Well my theories: They have to do something to keep all the winning %s near 50, which was a stated goal. So they cheat. Which was one of the more obnoxious features of the old MM. The leagues are to give people a reason to want to 'move up', head toward what we used to call 'Top' which is people with maxed meta gear. Partly it's bragging rights about what tier you're in, partly it's a little extra gold for being in a higher tier. Nice in theory, but those are small potatoes compared to the potential in-match rewards available to someone playing 'down' in leagues. Thus tanking. |

I run 8/8. It happens from time to time. I'm being matched with Champions league players. You can still be competitive as this match last night demonstrates. Being 12/12 doesn't guarantee you are the best players. We lost but I came second (+7 Pts). Their were Champions league and expert players for the other 11 bots. I found it actually one of the best games and we had a commanding beacon health lead until last 2 mins (then two of us left vs 6) and we mech'd out with 20 secs to go.    |

Das Veen - did you happen to check your league when you first logged in? I see people mentioning qualifying matches but I wonder as the season is near over if the system isn't simply assigning him a mid tier league which then based on performance he would move up or down from. With the change to the match making system we have to assume the code for checking your hanger isn't even there now or at least not actively meaning the system would have no way of placing you with any consideration for that. As to your tablet account you indicated you had been playing it all along meaning you either took part in the qualifying matches (as some above have mentioned) or through your play and performance you have ended up at a point that is appropriate for your skill and hanger development. With that said your phone account should quickly drop in league, unfortunately that means taking a beating for a bit, restarting the phone account from 0 or simply waiting until the season has ended so that your account can be properly placed next go around.
Pure speculation here just based on what I have seen of league play and what has been stated in Pix release as to how the system works.

That's my phone battery temp... it bumps up to 50* (122* F) if I do a few matches in rapid succession. I had to take the CPU throttling off so that it can play the game smoothly but man does it get hot!!!! I've got pretty much everything else disabled in my phone when I plan to play a lot. So....yes, yea my phone needs some Chilly hands on it! |

Das Veen - did you happen to check your league when you first logged in? When I first logged in that account was not in a league. I had to complete 5 matches first. Silver I is where I was placed after those matches. Just to note, because it'd been so long since there was any activity there were no medals in the last 10 days either. Ah, well.. It is what it is. |
