Isn’t it Ares + Falcon (what’s the one with 90% DR?) + Spectre (at least the weapons)? With an increased ability range? Yup, one drunken threesome later and this is the outcome

So, if an ares fires at Leech while it’s absorbing, and the Leech redirect fires back to the purple bubble which absorbs that, then retribution fires the absorbed redirect back at a still absorbing leech - do they both bloat up and explode? Can we just get back to Robots with weapons that shoot other robots with weapons until one or the other dies?

The pinnacle of achievement at Pixironic. 4 mediums, really. An average design. A more ridiculous ability. Soon we'll all be standing at 500-600 metres doing 「fluffernutter」 all except draining, healing, retribution and shooting at absorbing shields. Throw in the flaming dragon on occasion, or any other robot to walk out in the open..... Quantum Radar and Lockdown Ammo that 「fluffernutter」tard. Great game.

Here's some gameplay folks... except for the 90% DR Aura, it's not so tough
Just like the Ares is not so tough when it doesn't have its shield up... which is why no one goes out in the open when it's not up.
Seriously, this is going to play EXACTLY like the Ares. The saving grace is that unlike Retribution, Drain does no damage if no one is dumb enough to shoot you. But even then, this still has the advantage of 2 meds instead of 2 lights... Dunno how that will compare in the end.

Can not wait to watch Champion FFA where 6 Leeches stare at each other without shooting. Yess, the winner will be the one with the coldest stare.
And 2 months after Leech is available in WS, Pix will release an active module called "80PixC Reflection Glasses". LMAO.

Pro tip: Using the credit card is hilarious! It might be a Pixonic bred leech. Credit card is absolutely necessary

It says that you have to be looking at an opponent - not aiming. I wonder if a sideways glance could work (ninja style of course)

I honestly don't think Leech is nearly as bad as Ares, since it can't attack back (aside from weapon systems) unless you attack first, unlike Ares, where its ability can deal a large amount of damage even without being shot first.
Additionally, if redirected damage takes form as a projectile (don't know, can't test, server maintenance), Ares can still defeat this bot by blocking the redirected damage projectiles and kill it via its anti DR Retribution.
Leech is also most likely not as fast as Ares (also don't know, haven't tested) meaning you can run from it.
Another one: small healthpool. About the same as Ares. However, Leech will always still be taking damage with its ability active (and a hell lot of it when fighting built ins..) while a well played Ares won't.
Not to mention a scenario where a weaponless Leech and a weaponless Ares are activating their abilities at the same time to damage each other will result in Ares winning with about half health (based on math). This is considering Leech does magic insta damage rebound instead of shooting projectiles, and that the damage rebound is calculated before DR.
Too bad it has 4 mediums. Real put off for me trying to defend this bot...

This version, the next iteration will have auto aim and lock and shocktrain ability. Ahhh the future.....

Thanks for sharing OP.
I finally understand the name of this bot. True to its name, and just like the medieval treatment this medicinal creature was used for, the leech is designed to drain unhealthy amounts of $$ from our wallets.
And it’s almost painless.
Thank you Pixo!

everyone will shoot it. because if they are not the one being leeched, they will not give 2 「dookie」s. this is actually worse than the ares.

I'm good letting it go. if they get it right, i'm good keeping it.

A weaker spinoff from Ares. Pix lack creativity. Leech's ability should be sucking HP from Enemy bots when they come into contact.
This bot should be named Mental vomit.

I finally caught a video of leech on the test server and the thing that bugs me the most about it is it seems you don't need to have line of sight to redirect damage. So imagine some camper teammate of yours stubbornly firing at enemy and Leech redirecting the damage to you, because you are capping the beacon. Shocktrain disasters comes into my mind.

The whole concept makes little sense to me. You absorb damage and redirect it at your enemy? Isn't that the retribution ability with a different name?
Also that's not what leeches do. Leeches feed off you by sucking your blood. I kinda thought the leech ability would be the robot siphoning away my health to make itself stronger. Kinda like the evil version of healing.

Like the name but I think it’s worse. It’s ubblockable damage. And if a player (especially a bad one, in a pub game) isn’t taking damage, he will keep shooting it. Meaning your own blue will be killing you

Leech is overpowering in the test server, according to Japanese reviewer.
Just like Pixo intended.

I think Leech is the first bot that we should protest by not obtaining one. I’m PTW and did have some regrets both buying and maxing our 2 Ares (don’t even care to run them). The problems are really two-fold: the bot being OP and I dread what Pix will introduce to counter them (whether a new bot, weapon, module or even pilot!).

As a player, I'd like the lore surrounding the game to at least make sense. Is it a technocentric or magic based universe...etc.
What an abso「fluffernutter」inglutely moronic idea for a robot. And the concept of how it works was done by an imbecille.
Theyre not even trying to half heartedly explain how the bot works....
It farts and you die..

The only thing that seems strong about it is for 10 seconds it can't (shouldn't) be shot at while it's shooting at you.
I need to see the speed and health, but generally I think damage-oriented bots like Spectre are less of a nuisance than tank-oriented ones, just use cover and time appropriately.

For those suggesting we should just "not buy it" in protest...yeah, that's really going to work. Think about all the other bots and weapons people suggested not buying and how many people are using them right now. Sorry...ain't gonna happen. As soon as Billy Richkid, that gets laughed at in school because of those mountainous zits, sees this thing, he will have a platoon of them. Just to be able to be the one kicking sand in someone else's face.

Yeah, hoping people would come to their senses and not encourage the release of OP bots is, from a historical standpoint, too idealistic. People will buy them, and the vast majority that won't buy it, will work to get their hands on one of them at the soonest opportunity. The rest of us, well we just gotta prepare for Leeches the best we can. Also, I know you're not being serious, but implying that those who pay to get the OP bots are either ugly/sadistic or have something else wrong with them is pretty lame. And before you ask, no. I am not a P2W player. Pure Free to Play guy here (cause I'm cheap as 「fluffernutter」 in real life).
