Bugger. Actually managed to get a Superchest with my new account, and drew an Eldritch Ares. Which would be a a great reward, except for the little fact that my other 1-bot smurf already runs an Eldritch Ares (won in the event where it was introduced). Ah well :-O Wow! I thought I played a lot but to get to a Superchest on a smurf account is impressive! So how much Ag can you get for selling the Ares? 5.6 mil. Not really worth it I don't play my live account anymore. So it's not that hard to get a SC, especially with the many short battles you have with a 1-bot smurf.

My Nemesis will finish upgrade to MK2 Level 10 today with enough Ag to kick off the next upgrade. Last Stand at level 5. Getting really close to completing it!

Jesus.
Now I barely reached Expert III, and I have to play against Master I and low champ players, partially with maxed Mk2 stuff. Player numbers most really be down. Player competence too, as I somehow manage to hang in at Expert III. BTW, I play Dom almost exclusively...

Well, I hit a wall. Switched to a T-Falcon (now l9Mk2 with a l12 Mk2 Avenger), and reached Master 3 quickly. But it was over as soon as I finished the qualification, as I now have to play against Legend players Those l12 Mk2 guys have so much firepower, even a T-Falcon will be killed quickly. Surprisingly Ares are especially bad, I figured about 400k cycle damage on a typical Spark/Scourge Ares (from ~100m) which should drain only half of my current health (320k without boosters), but somehow they seem to do more damage than that.
And of course there are still loads of tankers, who seem to target Expert.
FFA has become impossible. The limited firepower of the Falcon means that other bots steal a lot of kills, and with all the Invaders out there I end up doing decent damage but usually I can't get the 2 kills I need for a respawn. (I can wear down tanks to their last stand, but then often an Invader or something jumps in and steals the kill, with twice my burst damage and the ability to get closer with their jump.)
I'll try again (going from Quantum Radar to PS with the active module) once the Falcon is l12 Mk2, but I think this experiment may be over. Perhaps I should switch to another bot and drop out of Master - next one up could be Avenger Weyland, let's see what I can do with this baby.

I've had great success with Rayker, GetDaBeacons in the clan runs one too, damage out is more than a the T-Falc damage and the return damage is a minimum of 75% of their output at least, I'm currently working on the pilot skill to increase it, if they have anti control.... No problem, have another blast of damage limitation, unlike all the other types like Invader which are 1 shot wonders and then an age for ability recharge, I've taken out far to many over confident Invaders in FFA because we both have the same ability that runs the same time, except when the ability runs out I can just do him again while he's still recharging. I run Glory/Sparks (lvl 10/9) on mine great all around combo..... subdue, lock down, toast.... Next!! Absalutely hammers physical shields too. We're both down in G1, not many tankers, lots of Leo's and Griffs, the occasional purple princess or stealth bot mostly down from Diamond, occasionally Expert, but fun is high and stress is minimal

And they can climb better than any other spider bot....
I'll think of some more reasons to get Rayker soon....

Rayker is great 1vs1 (even though it struggles against shielded bots), but it goes down quickly if you get into crossfire. It's a really nice bot because you need to play with a lot of situational awareness, while Falcon is pretty straightforward. I kinda shelved it for a while because I got VIP on that other smurf so I played there mostly.

Ah, I see.... Time to give it another walk out may be?? I have the most fun and success with mine, so much so I'm probably going to break Diamond tonight, hence the tank Fenrir to try and manage my league a bit, I only get half the cups with that per game that I do with Rayker. You are right, you have to have your poop all in a row or you die quickly, but I run 2x heavy armour packs passive and all the self heal pilot skills except the ones that require the reds to be winning to use, and Quantum Radar on my active mod, its not often that I don't make it to the end, but then I've also calmed my "Leroy Jenkins" play style down a bit too ?

The thing about the Rayker is: It's a glass cannon. I may get the operation pass in order to upgrade it further, but experience shows that the difference between level 10 (or is it 9?) and l12 Mk2 is not that big, especially if I'm still sitting in Gold or Diamond league
Not counting premium modules the Falcon has almost the same base health, but if you make it a T-Falcon then it has 50% more, and all modules, healing and boosters work on that extra 50%. My maxed T-Falcon will have about 400k HP and 60% resistence across the board, while a maxed Rayker will have what, 240k? That's 5 seconds of fire from a well equipped Ares or Ao Jun that can't be supressed. And I'll take 60% damage resistence over the Rayker every day, because one lockdown and the 5 seconds of supression are done (providing I could supress the enemy bot in the first place, which is difficult when facing pantheon bots and shielded bots). I might add armor expert and maybe a heavy armor module to that Rayker once I earned the gold (I'm not spending resources on any other bots on this account), but still...
The two light slots don't make that much of a difference. A Punisher has less than 25% of the Avenger power (considering that I'll get sharpshooter for Avenger but not for Punisher). I'm slowly transitioning to Sparks, as burst DPS of a Spark is roughly equal to the burst DPS of a Punisher against a big target, but Spark does almost 4 times the damage against smaller targets (see war-robots-forum.freeforums.net/post/438349/thread) , but the Avenger remains the main weapon for this setup.
If I transition to another bot I might go midrange this time, like Trident Fury/Raijin (or Behemoth, boo-hoo!, although I would probably slap 4 Avengers on it just for the heck of it). But I'm not sure for how long I'll have fun with that. In the end, Pixo has killed the game for me with Pantheon shields and last stand, as both completely protect a bot from most damage. So even smart play won't achieve anything against a decent player who knows how to use cover and the Ares shield. Combine this with the incredible advantage of pilots, premium modules and mk2 weapons... This has driven me from playing my main account, and killed most of the fun with my smurfs.

Yarp, Rayker is fragile, I'm working on earning the silver to get it up to lvl12 mk1 while the Fen builds up to lvl9, and it really doesn't suit a "Charge!!" style of play, something I, as an ex Strider pilot can confess to, as I fully embraced the sucker punch, I had 4 Strider and a hover in my main account, specifically aimed at purple princess murder. But it can take a full hit from a DB Griff at G1 and make the Griff wish he'd gone elsewhere even if you don't get the subdue in first. They do have a quite high learning curve to play well and the key is to knowing when to pick your fight, when to sit back behind your team and cycle targets subduing or sit behind cover repairing, all things that there is normally plenty of time for in Dom, like you I mostly play Dom, but play FFA quite a bit too to hone my skills with it (last week I played a game against Experts and Diamonds, I was the only Gold in the 6 and came out top, that was most satisfying ?) Also another reason to do the Fen, fat n slow, damage is OK getting middle order finishes, though did get a Godlike this morning and a wranpage just now, now he's lvl8 but my league has dropped enough for me to not worry about being out gunned with Rayker up in Diamond I agree with what you say about the game being broke since purple panties arrived, and the main reason for my primary accounts shift to purple princess killers, thing is Ive not logged in to it since I started my HC1 account because bringing the hurt inside those purple panties got old, real fast, hence my league management now as you don't see them often in Gold and when you do they low level and piloted my noobs, easy prey, big bag of silver ? I'm trying to get my head around the Fen now and trying find a load out I like, Avenger or Glory for the top I'm thinking which means I have to build a new weapon for Rayker, toying with another Glory, a Calamity or Avenger..... But I do like holding holding the beggers still while I fry their ? ?

Yeah, that thing about league management, not being worried about getting that high.... Ignore me, just qualified in D3... I'm apparently better with Fen than I first assumed ?
