Had alot of the same feelings... And the PTW of Pix is definitely the cause... I did have a bit of a breakthrough though .. I've opened several other accts. I rarely play my champs account, just a couple of times a day to clear the gold.. I'm playing champs, expert, gold, and silver now... one of them is always fun... expert seems to have the best matching and team play... I can see myself just selling off accounts as they reach champs ,leave that noise for some noob with a fat wallet and no patience. It seems that there are plenty of players that would rather drop cash than play to get ahead... Built all flyers for the expert..hella fun ! Raven is my favorite, but it would never make it in champs.. long story short fun bots aren't for champs... Sounds like you know how to play so pop that cherry again and come join us at the TheSlumloards. We're having fun again!

I say if you have the disposable income and wish to waste it on this game then go right ahead. It's an expensive way to spend a couple of hours.
My opinion is anyone with disposable income obtained their income by being smart with their money, invested, obtained an education, etc. Wasting it on this game seems counter intuitive.
I doubt there are many players who can afford to max out hangers, weapons and pilots just for the fun of it. Which leads me to believe there are many people spending money they don't have on this game. To each their own...
I think there should be different levels to the game based on hangers, not based on which league you are in.
If a person wants to play in the Champion league with lesser bots fine, but when you have a large population of gamers who play for fun and don't want or have the money to spend, it is unfair to match them against a player who has spent $1000's so they can dominate. It would take the average free players months or even years to reach the level of a maxed out hanger. Not to mention just as you reach the max hanger after months of grinding, the game changes, bots and weapons are nerfed, and you are right back where you're started. Add death squads to the mix and we end up with a fairly sizable group of disgruntled gamers who leave out of frustration.
War Robots is a great game that went the wrong direction. When I play xBox One S I can't help but think, OK I spent $60 on a game, and get hours of enjoyment without needing to spend any more money to compete. Sure most console games give you the option to spend money and add features or unlock skins, etc., but if I choose not the spend the extra cash I still have a great time playing and can be very competitive.
Not with War Robots. After spending money to get me up to speed, they change everything, nerf bots, weapons, etc. They add more and more expensive premium bots, more gimmicks, pilots, etc., not to mention the tankers, and now the ARES trains created by people trying to obtain an unfair advantage, I end up putting down the game in disgust. It's no longer fun. I quit back in April, no regrets.
I don't understand why PIX can't create a league for whales and those who want to spend a bunch of money to have the latest and greatest. Let them play against each other. Have a separate league for those who just like to play games, and work their way towards progressing through the game without spending more and more. Ya, pix won't make any money off the free players, but the whales will still provide them with plenty of income. Seems reasonable to me. Anyone who has ever been slaughtered by a death squad with maxed hangers can appreciate this approach.
I can fully understand the OP's frustration. I say just walk away for good. The first couple of times I left for a while and always came back. I ended up spending more money and then left again in disgust. Same old chit. Takes some willpower but you can walk away for good. In the end you will feel much better.

In the end you will feel much better. Dude, if you only knew what most people spend their disposable income on. I would tell you how much I have spent on fly fishing this past year, but it would embarrass me. I even spent over $2500 for a fly tying table and some tying gear. I have had it for 3 months now. Nope, haven't tied one fly. But the desk looks awesome.
I have spent quite a few 10's of 1000's of bucks on Motorcyles over the years. I do enjoy riding though. Before that, I wasted a ?fluffernutter? ton of money (which is equal to 10 ?dookie? tons) on American Muscle Cars. That was a black hole let me tell you.
Basically, you spend what you spend on what you spend it on. None of it is really counter intuitive as long as you budget what you have as "disposable" and do not exceed it.
As far as the MM is concerned. Eh, it may get better when they merge platforms. I dunno. Pix's fixes never seem to work out that great, but I am forever the optimist. I will still play this game and for the next few months will still pay for premium. I really need those upgrade times and that silver man. But premium is all I am willing to budget for this game and that is not permanent.

Knowing how broken the game has become, I have shifted my mentality from "winning is fun" to "destroying robots is fun". When the definition of fun has changed, getting roasted by OP opponents doesnt matter much, just start a new game. There are some games after playing for about a minute, I realise that the opponents are similarly matched to mine. This is where i stay longer and try to play for the win. Doesn't that put you in the tanker's category by leaving early? That happened to me because I let my 3 year old daughter play, battery died on my phone, etc. When I'm getting dominated by an OP team I'll just try to go through all five of my bots as quickly as possible so I don't get matched with the same players (red and blue) lol. I am referring to destroying the Red's bots while playing aggressively instead of playing to win the game. The satisfaction i get from wreaking as much havoc onto the reds before i leave the game prematurely gives the adrenaline rush. This is knowing that the red bots are all much higher levelled than me. You can find your own take on how to derive satisfaction from playing War Robots. Maybe ?under bridge toll collector?ing , maybe only targeting specific bots such as Ares and Ao Jun.

Is it even a game anymore when you have to pervert the rules in order to find any sort of enjoyment and satisfaction? People really need to reevaluate their reason for why they continue to play this mess.

Most people here who do want to leave War Robots usually come back because there is no better substitute for the same game concept. My post was addressed to this group of people If you can't find a better game substitute , there is a the next best way : to look at the game from a different angle and find enjoyment in another way.

Man I understand You perfectly. The MM suck here. Besides if there is guys in silver II and already have maxed 4 hangars and legendary pilots then its no even possibility to talk about fun or competition. but its also question me how fun it can be if literally You are so maxed and put so much to have ability to stand in the center of map with invader and wreck everything without effort?? I mean that this is booooring if nobody have even chance to scratch You. Even if the entire red team will fire at You in the same time You still are able to win then where is the satisfaction from win without effort?? It is like playing RPG game with invincibility.

If you are getting rolled by a squad, don't worry about leaving. Just don't drop another bot. Stay in the match and put the game down for a few seconds. Those matches don't last long, you won't be penalized for it, and you are off to the next match. I guess I have too much pride to do this. Also, too many players are so quick to just quit. I don't think the game needs another person with this mentality or to be doing this. Half of the games I play are 4 v 6 or 5 v 6. I've been on both sides of these matches. The less people doing this the better!

I think even that current MM is not malfunction but it was made like this in purpose. The faster You encaunter stronger opponents the bigger will be the probability that You will spend moooore money to keep up. And this is exactly what Pix have in mind. If they would change MM maaany people would stop leveling weapons to remain in gold or diamond league and have fun instead frustrate them selves in fights with top P2W players who have all the best and fully maxed stuff.

The whale league is Champion league squading with clans in BR. Better bring your top notch gear to those fights.
Need a break from that? Play solo Dom.

I play solo in domination and everything I've described is based on that. Upper Master League is just as bad. Expert league is where I think the playing field is level.

War Robots isn't a job, what others think isn't important. Games are meant to de-stress not to be stressed over. Lol. just play it the way you enjoy it.

Try playing Mech Battle. Similar game, but definitely not pay-to-win

I had a lotta fun with the Weyland this weekend. It's a recent acquisition and I haven't messed with it much. One particular battle was hella fun, I camped out on a hill for some sniping, hit the self-heal button, the shield bots "discovered" me first, they came over and turned on their shields, then everyone else came over and we won the battle... decisively. That's the most team play I've experienced and none where actually part of my clan. The one OOPS in that battle were all the bots who kept walk in front of me! I guess they forgot I wasn't there just to heal them... that I could deal some damage too!
