========================================== NEW FEATURES! (May 19, 2019)- Damage vs time plot NEW FEATURES! (May 14, 2019)- Built-in weapons (for Mercury, Ao Jun, etc.) - Choice of target bot size (which impacts weapons with bullet spread; data based on tests by KomodoPie and frunobulax ) - Corrected Avenger rate of fire ========================================== Ever wanted to compare how much damage weapons or whole builds can do at a given distance over a given period of time, without having to buy and upgrade them to find out? Well, you can, with the War Robots Weapon Damage Spreadsheet! The heart of the spreadsheet is the user-friendly Build Comparison Tool, which lets you select weapons for up to 5 builds from drop-down menus and automatically shows you two graphs: one comparing their damage vs distance (from 50 to 1100 m) for whatever time period you specify (from 1 to 30 sec), and the other comparing their damage vs time for whatever distance you specify. Weapon levels and target bot size are user-selectable. Built-in weapons for Mercury, Ao Jun, etc. are now included. The subsequent sheets contain the underlying data: tables of every current weapon's cumulative damage over time for various distances to target, based on the specs on the War Robots wiki. I don't know where those specs come from. You can download the spreadsheet from my Dropbox here (current version is 5.0i): www.dropbox.com/s/k7u3b498lzxry0j/War Robots%20Weapon%20Damage%20v5p0i.xlsx?dl=1 The damage calculation accounts for: - Damage per shot, rate of fire, clip size, and reload mechanics - Bullet spread (target size is accounted for based on tests with Gust, Thunder, Punisher, Avenger, Halo, Viper, and Molot) - Spark/Scourge/Calamity damage decline with distance - Corrosion damage over time (with a setting to choose whether to count it when the shots hit or when the target actually suffers) - Weapon level (which you can choose) This tool has been very useful to me in deciding which weapons to invest in, and in thinking about builds, and I hope you'll find it helpful too! P.S. Please let me know if you find any errors.

This = my usual trick of posting to get this thread back to the top of the recent list so more people see it before it's forever lost in the mists of time.

Mr Poopface -- foxypotato recommended I summon you to make this thread sticky. I'm hoping this will do the trick, and I don't have to say something 3 times in a mirror or anything occult like that.

Phil and Stan here to be telling you best ways for you monetizing your programming efforts. 1) Important to be give away for free first taste. 2) Create disconnect between RM and App currencies. 3) You should be making many different App currencies for to confuse player and they forget that they are spend RM. 4) Make Process Tokens for different level of bot and weapon. Give lots of Legacy Process Token for free, but charge RM for Meta Bot Process Token. 5) Make it easy to accidentally hit “Process Damage Analysis” Button, forcing extra spend of Tokens. 6) When hit Process Button, make spinnng dials and lights blinking just like in casino. 7) Please to be making Analysis bug that shows highest damage for new bot and weapons, then fix later, quiet behind scenes. See you on the battle field

Which bots are considered large hit boxes vs small?

Which bots are considered large hit boxes vs small? If you mean what was used for the testing that the spreadsheet is based on, large = Natasha, small = Destrier. I'm not sure what was used for the stats on the wiki, but it's something pretty big but a bit smaller than a Natasha (maybe Griffin?). If you mean should each of the bots in the game be categorized, I think there's a continuum that I'm guessing corresponds to how big the bot looks. Persuers, Striders, Menders, etc are on the small end. Furies, Bulwarks, Fenrirs etc are on the big end.

Glory looks pretty ugly vs avenger at longer distances, but SS skill might close that gap. And again, great work in this thing, it is very useful!

Glory or Avenger does not seem accurate. Based on spreadsheet Glory is barely better only at very close range. When I watch the Avenger vs Glory video comparisons the Glory destroys avenger at very close range.
And I factored in when this was updated and the time the video was made

SO this is the most awesome chart I have ever seen and I love to use it.
Is there any way to change it so that the damage graph goes to zero at the end of the weapons range.
For example. The calamity's line on the damage graph goes all the way out to 800m. I think it is because it is listed to do damage at 600m and zero damage at 800m in the damage chart. The graphing function then extrapolates out the line to the 800m instead of going straight to zero at 601m.
I tried to insert a distance of 601m in the chart, but I couldn't get the graph to change and I don't know enough about excel to change it.
Also, is there a way to account for pilot influence, such as sharpshooter, speedshooter and damage boost.
I don't mean to lessen the greatness of this document for comparing weapon builds. It is crazy good and gives more information about damage than anything on the web.

I was playing around with this again today, as I continue to level up my weapons setups and compare performances, when I realized that I never had played around with the time factor. I changed the time setting from 10s to 3s and realized that my Tulu/Pin setup wasn't as weak as it had looked at the 10s mark. When I looked at how much damage it dumps into the target in 3s compared to the others, and factoring in the extra range over the plasma setups, I better understood why it felt stronger than it showed up on the charts.

Some call this "alpha" damage, others call it "front loaded" damage. Thing is some weapons do most their damage in 1 second to 4 seconds. This is high damage up front, when some weapons can do more damage but must wait, like Scourge/Gekko/Punisher types and the like. "alpha" weapons are more like weapons that take longer to reload or charge like Kangdae/Shocktrain/Zues. Some fall in between like rocket weapons, they can be "alpha" or "beta" damage depending on how much ammo is stored. When "bursting" (unloading a full ammo rack) rockets act like "alpha weapons. When using "sustained fire" (using empty or half loaded ammo rack), they behave more like "beta" weapons. Hope that explained the damage to time ratio for you. *edit* Personally I like to mix both damage types. If I can kill a target with "alpha" damage I'm happy, but I keep a "beta" weapon on deck in case it develops into a brawl.
