Currently I'm running a 4/6 medium hanger, so if I want to make the jump to lvl 6/8 heavy bots, what level mediums like boa/Galahad/carnage/rogatka in order to hang with the heavies and stay in match making?

And if there are ways to transition let me know, I'm just sick of seeing all the heavy bots without using any myself.

Depends on what weapons you have. I was on 2/7 on my medium bots (high bronze tier), and I jumped straight to heavy bots (6/7-8)
Galahad, Carnage and Boa are still viable in Gold Tier, but they need to be leveled up higher.
It would be best to show your hangar, and we can give the advice accordingly.

Great, keep the Boa and continue leveling your weapons to lvl7, then jump straight to heavy bots with Leo and Griffins. Key is to prepare the weapons you need for heavy bots. Before that happens, just stay in your tier and farm for gold and silver.

I run a similar hangar at 4/9 in silver. If I throw in even 1 lvl 6 heavy, it pushes me up a tier. Maybe if I used smaller guns on it it wouldn't but... use smaller guns? That's dishonorable.

agree with all the above. Start leveling up your med bot weps till they reach 9. This will still put you squarely in low silver. Placing a 6-5 heavy in your hangar will mix you in with the high silver crowd and occasionally with low gold ( especially when you have a winning streak )

I had seen the advice to move to 4/9 mediums, I guess to refine my question... if I wanted to run a medium with the heavies at 6/9, what level should it be? I'm sure you would want to raise it by some amount because the heavies are set so high in Matchmaking

I like the boa and hope to purchase at least one of the remaining mediums in my OP. Are all viable at low Gold?

Basically 6/9 for heavy bots is already low gold tier. I think your medium bots can go up to 8/10. |

6-9 Heavy hangar power = 775; 8-11/12 Medium hangar power = 770; 8-11/11/12 Medium hangar power = 763
The problem with these setups is it's on low gold. More often than not, you'll see L9 bots and higher.
This is the problem with MM - You try to match the red's firepower and then on the next match you wonder where'd all these near-max or max bots come from.
So I stand by 4/9 and we do just fine in the silver clan fighting 6/9 heavies.
