The title says it all... It might be temporary, but given I haven't played since before the Dragon Bot update and no longer need it for reference for my novel, it was time to go.
War Robots has been great until it wasn't, but it provided me with some good times. That's all I can ask for.
I'm likely not deleting the game forever or leaving the forum, and I'm not even uninstalling it out of anger... I've just got no interest in it right now and needed the space to run "GTA: Liberty City Stories" instead (great game, worth the price tag even on mobile).
I sort of want a better reason to have uninstalled the game after so long playing, but the answer is just apathy towards the new changes. Huh.
Well I can always reinstall and continue when I want, so that makes this all so much simpler.

Why do something that doesn't spark joy in your life. Enjoy what does and like you said when you feel like coming back enjoy it with fresh eyes.

I feel ya bro.
Personally, I'm not letting these vodka Swilling Atheist Bastages off the Hook til they pull the plug (or go to Prison, which would be sweet)

For what it's worth mate, six weeks off was just the trick for me. I was bored of the grind, bored of checking my phone and bored of propping up Pixonic by watching ads and being whale food.
I just picked it back up and played a couple of games, it was okay. The stupid Ares bots were okay, the maps seemed a bit more interesting and it was nice to get back on the forum.
I was having a tough time in real life at the time - and I hope that you aren't - but whatever the case, a fresh pair of eyes down the line might bring that magic back. This is still a decent game. For now at least!

It is, and (I think that) they are, thanks. Actual LOLs at the War Robots comment. I'll be shaking my fist at the screen soon enough!

In all fairness... that pic was to make a joke about "sparking joy" since that's the lady who started it... but I like the turn of the thread, regardless.

War Robots has been great until it wasn't, but it provided me with some good times. That's all I can ask for. My sentiments exactly. Literally hundreds of hours of fun until Pixonic started being too much. And, as you correctly point out, quitting the game doesn't have to be a binary thing. Maybe in a month you'll reinstall the game, have a great week playing only to rediscover why you stopped playing it. I have been on and off, but the off times have been longer. And I did ditch account on one platform already. At any rate, once you stop playing you realize all of a sudden how much time you have on your hands.

For now at least! I uninstalled the game once before, back a while ago (how long I have no clue, but it was around the time when there was still the OLD HUD with "enemy is capturing the beacon!" messages). Came back when I got my Galaxy S8 and have played for a while since. As for a tough time, nah man. I've found someone, am preparing my novel for self-publishing and even had a contract offer on the novel (which I declined because the legal terms were really intense). I'm not having any kind of bad time, that's the funny part... I almost wish there was more of a cinematically satisfying reason I am uninstalling War Robots (you know, like breaking a habit or something story-worthy) but I'm literally just uninstalling it because I realized I wanted the memory space back. I kinda almost want to quit it out of rage and get satisfaction by seeing that icon vanish off my screen...but I don't even feel angry at Pix, just boredom.

I uninstalled as well, so I could get the new update when I reinstalled it again.

Whatever works for you man, but you gotta admit you owe the game for inspiring you in the first place. Now that you're free from Pix's copyright infringing shackles, the world of Iron Empire is your own to do with you please.
But seriously, all this P2W BS is starting to get to me too, my meme team hangar (Seen below) is the only one i have genuine fun with and they're horrendous by meta standards.
