I'd like to acknowledge myself- a while back, I ran a Double Ancile Carnage for loads of matches. I couldn't do damage, but I could provide my teammates with a SES (super energy shield) which had over 150,000k hitpoints. I usually never died, and unfourtunately that meant I would get NEGATIVE battle rewards.
Being the usual (not really) selfless person I was, I always ran a DAC (Double Ancile Carnage), even though I was losing silver. One team deathmatch on Shenzhen, two Lancelots (both were Thorkalots) spawned in at the start. Luckily, they were going the same way. I impulsively activated my Rush and followed them. This was our formation:
KEY: L for Lancelot, C for Carnage.
When explosives and kinetics were present:
L-C-L
When Plasma was present:
L L C
It actually turned out we were versing one of those full clans of play-to-wins, the ones with whole hangers of dashes. They came in with dreams of ultimate destruction and crushing of little noobs, but oh boy, they did not imagine the destructive power of the Dual Thorkalot DAC sandwich. We didn't recieve contact for quite a long time, and by the time we saw the first enemy, they had already gotten 5 kills, and we had zero.
The first enemy we saw was an Orkechi, in the open, where the buildings are shaped into a square. It saw us, panicked and tried to dash away. But even it's two dashes were not enough to save it. These Thorkalots had Mk2 Lvl 5 weapons and Lvl 12 Lancelots. We blew that Orkechi to dust in 3 seconds and flat and he onlly fired about 5 missles before he died.
After that encounter, we went into one of the more narrow alleyways next to the open "square". We found two Orkechis over there, and the two Thorkalots must have seriously known what they were doing because as soon as we saw them they split up simultaneously while maintaining L-C-L formation and staying in my shield. My shield got a bit of a battering at that point, losing about one quarter of its capacity.
We followed to the end of the alleyway and into the enemy base. The enemy by now had gotten a wind of what was going on, as when we reared the corner, a Triple Scourge Bulgasari and a Triple Shocktrain Haechi. The Thorkalots realised that they wanted to kill me and so made the V formation (them two up front and me at the back). The Bulgasari needed a bit of effort as it had alot of HP and the Thorkalot's Orkans were still reloading from the previous encounter, but that Haechi became toast due to those Mk2 Orkans.
The rest of the matc was literally just ultimate dash killing. By the time we got to the enemy base, we were spawnkilling them and they could do nothing. The rest of our teammates, with most of their bots destroyed from the other terrorizing dashes we had not paid attention to, got revenge at last.
And that, my friends, is how a Thorkalot DAC snadwich put six people with full Dash hangars to shame.

The Wall of Fame is a prized spot and award that many students at UC Davis compete and play for every quarter. From new incoming freshman to graduate students and faculty, The Wall of Fame and Intramural Sports have been a prevalent part of many UC Davis experiences. There have been over 3500 champions on the Wall of Fame since 1968 and more to come each year. With more than 20 traditional and untraditional sports offered each year to the UC Davis community, there are plenty of opportunities to obtain a place on the coveted Wall of Fame. I’m picturing a bunch of UC Davis students in an auditorium playing War Robots and obssessively capping beacons while muttering “Surely THIS is going to get me on the Wall of Fame.” this

If anyone knows Fighter Pilot100, please tell him/her thanks for the great match on the Moon! I was apparently in the right place at the right time to get 11 kills, but this pilot was EVERYWHERE! Only one MK2 Bot (A Raj) in his hanger, and it wasn't even maxed out. Consider my hat tipped to you, pilot.

One of the best teams I've had in champion league. I'm champion league on android and this match was in springfield. I went to capture beacons with a zeus fury following behind to give me support on the building side of the field and then spawned at the center beacon in a taran bulgasari. #1 player on our team spawned an ancilot and we proceeded to destroy 5 bots just with the two of us as we went to take the enemy home beacon. Ancilot protected me with his shield and 5 nearly maxed tarans basically cleared everything lol. Handicapped by a tanker on our team and we still pulled it off. Even our lowest scoring player had more damage than the top scorer on the enemy side. I used my DB hover at the beginning to get rid of a zeus fury and a hydra/spiral griffin because they were being annoying to my team and preventing us from proceeding to get the center with them locking on them. Tempest fury on our team cleared 2 shock train bulgasaris and a scourge zeus lancelot before they were even able to do much damage. Once we got the range bots out of the way it was pretty easy since my team was mostly brawlers. We were behind on beacons trying to kill the range bots first, but won by making the enemy team mech out. Strong brawlers + fantastic range support! AND, we weren't shy about capturing beacons either

Our team (in Champ league) just got wrecked on Yamantau by an exquisite Treb Butch pilot, I will say the likes of which I have never encountered before. His position and mobility were perfect; his target selection perfect; as far as I could tell his timing of shots was perfect; he sometimes staggered shots so he still had one fully charged and ready. He stayed in it the whole time but I believe it was only because his team had good control allowing him to continue suppression and decimation. I know that a pilot like this who is professional at playing LR like this would eject into brawlers if it was necessary. This pilot I have great respect for is from the clan Cartel, and his chosen name was perfect and had me lmfao: ‘Are You Mad Bro?’ or ‘You mad bro?’ So ‘You Mad Bro?’ I say: And to answer the question posed by your name, when you took out my only midrange bot, I was for a moment like: ?? Thanks for the great game and awesome piloting!

Loving the Vids. I might even try to hump a few butts in my carnage then pop out from behind an armored bot to double thunder something, wasn't a tactic I was aware of . Made Gold 1 league with level 6 gears or less by using team work & smart play. I probably shoulda took the pic before using all my gold for a 5th slot to upgrade my gear to lvl 7. BIG thanks to all the guys who helped me get here by playing TOGETHER! (very hard considering there is no game chat)

Beacon Rush. Shenzhen. One of the best matches I've had in months. Quality teammates and opposition. For once I saw real teamplay from both teams. Flanking manoeuvres, proper support, #gotyourback stuff. I saw an Orkan Haechi behind a DB Rhino moving together. I saw a Thunder Raijin marching together with an Ancilot. It took us 2 minutes to figure out how to crack open this duet. This match had everything. It reminded why I started playing War Robots. Did I say it was very well balanced too? Apparently, the MM broke and gave us this gem. And cheers to pilot puzak, that finished the match with a Storm Rogatka of all things.

I would like to take a moment to recognise our fallen comrade; "Dein Mutter".
Whether this noble individual was German or simply wanted to send an insulting message to the Germans I do not know. However, their play was fabulous.
It was Beacon Rush on Yamantau. Hotly contesting the centre beacon as usual, it was in the hands of the reds and starting to look like it would stay that way.
Then Dein Mutter made a break for it along the covered bridge in a kumiho, boosting along the bridge for all they were worth. The already committed reds in the centre realised what was happening as Dein Mutter passed the central walkway and started to fire volleys up at them. They started hitting home but Dein Mutter would not be discouraged. They made it to the beacon and turned it blue just in time before hydras, orkans and aphids reduced their bot to a steaming pile of hot twisted metal.
I immediately changed bots and meched in at the beacon with Large Marge, my faithful Lancelot now equipped with a tempest and punishers. Dein Mutter did likewise with an ancilot of their own and together we held the side beacon for quite some time. Dein Mutter went down before me and did not mech back in, so I presume they had run out of bots by this point. I continued to defend the beacon with Dangerous Dave, my other lancelot with ember and tarans, but by then the reds were really pushing and he didn't last long. I decided to beat a retreat before I ran out of bots entirely.
The advantage came because the reds had to commit multiple bots to beating us off and by the time they finally did, the centre beacon was blue, and the blue and red bars at the top had swung back into our favour.
Despite a determined counter attack from the reds, we held the centre beacon for the rest of the match and eventually won by having more of our blue bar left when time ran out.
After the match I took a look at the scores and found that poor old Dein Mutter was second from bottom, with 1 beacon and around 300,000 damage. I meanwhile, with my more damage focussed hangar, made it to second from top, getting more silver, keys and some gold for my efforts.
I wanted to take this moment to recognise Dein Mutter, for teamwork and ingenuity. We undoubtedly only won the match beacuse of them, and they received precious little to show for it.
Brings a tear to the eye.

I forgot to take a screenie of the post battle. But kudos to all the blues here. We made a daringnrun for the beacons on the reds home field with one of us having the balls to maje a run for center beacon via thenundergriund tunnel that connects both s8des of the map... while the reds still had guys at beacon b. The sheer audacity all our initial beacon cappers had allowed us to pretty much steal ALL the beac9ns for a stupidly quick win

I'm not putting myself on the wall of fame, but yet my colleague ryan, he doesn't play the game but he's the director for my current project on war robots, he's basically the vice president of the school wide club. He calculates and adds up all of our spendings on Au, Silver, and WSP and keeps it in files, he puts in so much hard work and I'm very proud of him, he doesn't just work on those files, but he does the research and helps me and cody (pilots) become better than we are, he's basically got all of this down to a science and is currently doing calculations on WSP bots, which is most efficient to our funds as there is a tourney being held on WSP bots with WSP weapons or stock weapons for the bots, currently cody is working on a raijin and I'm working on spending wsp for inquisitor components (loopholes *maniacally laughing*)

want to thank EthankGostblade for an awesome battle. We were playing springfield and I had my lancelot out, with two tarans and a thunder, and then he came with a 2 zeus carnage, recking prettty much 4 jesse's and gareths together. Once i died i came into my galahad, and he had a gareth, which we both used and flanked the enemy, allowing us to get over 2 kills each. My DB griffin went down pretty quickly thanks to a Treb butch, but he helped me wiht a weird Natasha with 1 treb 1 zeus and 2 gusts. With that just managed to survive in my 4 aphid jesse. At this point we were loosing with only 4 players but me and him made a huge comeback and ended up winning the game. We both got about 4 kills each and he did around 800k damage. Thanks man for an awesome game

This guy deserves to be here for services to the great Destrier: While my first impression was “oh no, we've got a tanker, this is going to be 5v6 any second”, this valiant warrior rode out the full game. now I didn’t follow him the rest of the game, but I am going to believe he did it all in the Destrier (yes, he did have 3 spectres and a bulgi filling out the rest of his active hangar, but I like to think riding around in that bad boy he didn’t need to touch them).

Just got around to reading this post and figured out what it was all about. I got one from back when I was in expert league. I used to run a gunship Lancelot as my main ranged build. Spawned on the hill in powerplant and was providing support fire but was getting hammered by RDB builds. A teammate whose name I don't remember walked up with an odd build - carnage with ancile/thunder - and shielded me for a good 2-3 minutes before both our shields gave out. Lost our bots but it won us the match.

Some of us happen to think destriers are SEXY! But he does have the right idea, gekko &/or hydra are perfect for killing shock bots. Line of sight from long rage cloaked or uncloaked works with gekko. Hydra when uncloaked works as well but is kinda too close to the shocks range for me personally.

Thought it was cool that the player was running a Destrier (with the super cool skin) in champs and not doing it to tank. I am going to try out my Schutze once my other legacy bot upgrade cycle is complete

Had a game the other day. Me and another guy were both running gust stalkers. I spawned right next to him, and thought this is gonna be fun, and it was lol. We were on power plant, and we took off toward the back hill where all the snipers hang out. On our way we ran into a thunder carnage, neither one of us even popped stealth. We both just circled around him, and he didn't know what to do. He kept spinning in circles, but I guess the auto lock kept messing his aim up, cuz we dropped him with almost no damage taken to either of us lol.
Next we moved up to the back of the hill where there was a Zeus Fury and a treb/Gekko Natty. We both stealthed took the Fury out, put some damage into the natty, then dropped behind cover. Next a Taran ancilot spawns right next to the natty as soon as we pop out. We finished off the natty pretty quick, then proceeded to run circles around the ancilot just like the carnage. We took him out but both of us took some pretty serious damage, but we were still up.
By this time, all the reds are spawning right by us, but before we both go out we manage to take out a griffin, and a kumiho that had worked his way back to the spawn. It was so much fun, like a little stalker tornado running around everywhere. Now anytime I see someone spawn in a stalker next to me, I follow em til we get taken out lol.

Thank you _Moravec_ for not being a spoiled sport, not all matches are going to be fair and people need to understand that & just play.

Was playing TDM on Yamantua, And one guy decided to run into center with his dual ancile weyland, We had been out gunned but managed to survive the onslaught of tempest and tulumbas long enough to take out the high priority reds, and managed to pull a win, the guy had high leveled bots and weapons in his hanger but instead decided to take one for the team instead of racking up damage, and it won us the match.

more players should play like this /\ Lol yeah I would do alot of things to play that match again. That type of co-operative gameplay needs to be better rewarded, somehow, in the post-match rewards. I currently have a dual ancille Natasha in TDM with Arbalests and it works quite well for both charges and setting up defensive chokepoints with allies, though I often rank the lowest and get practically no silver. . . but it’s FUN.

I would like to give a shout out and appreciation to player quristoper, I only healed this person 1 time because I was rear & him front line. But this individual defended my mender on respawn to the rear from the front 3 times when enemies infiltrated the rear, then without seeking a healing proceeded back to attack the front battle lines. Thank you very much for commendable team play.
