Chinese faction has come, in the form of three flying "Dragon" robots. I know what you guys are all going to say... Never mind. What’s new: — New robot: Ao Jun (White) lvl 8: 2 heavy slots, Durability 138700, speed 49 km/h, ability duration 8 sec, flight speed 83 km/h, flamethower damage 365, DOT 4% of inflicted damage (5 sec duration), flamethrower range 350m, ability cooldown 25 sec — New robot: Ao Qin (Red, Not final model, Skirmish-only) lvl 8: 4 light slots, Durability 110800, speed 59 km/h, ability duration 8 sec, flight speed 71 km/h, energy damage 3400/sec, range 600m, ability cooldown 15 sec — New robot: Ao Guang (Green, Not final model) lvl 8: 3 medium slots, Durability 95100, speed 54 km/h, ability duration 8 sec, flight speed 65 km/h, damage 775 per missile, ammo: 48 missiles, range 500m, Resistance (during ability) 66%, ability cooldown 20sec — New visual effects for energy shields, Aegis and Absorber www.facebook.com/Walking War Robots.test.page/ I think one of them has stealth in flight, and the third has Falcon like damage resistance. All three have built in weapons, one a flying Ember and another homing missiles. The third has an energy weapon that reaches out to 600 meters, longer than the Ares. |

I have a feeling these will fly like the Hover Airlines version of the Hover. Man, I gotta admit. For once, I'm EXCITED about new content. Unlike the Greek bots, these thing will be able to dramatically chance the landscape of the battlefield. The only question is if this is controlled flight cause 8s at over 80 kph. That can cover the entire length of the largest map. Remember the swarms of Hovers in the Hover Airlines Skirmish and the Hover vs Spiders Skirmish? By this time next year, we will all either be flying dragons and having a blast, or we will have rage quitted the game.

Their Flight is capped at a lower altitude than I expected... Still good enough to get onto the arm like structirsvreading out from the center of moon map from the main spawnpoint, but these dragons arent flying to the alritude of Hover... And the distance they fly is set, too. Once you activate the ability, you are comitted to flying for the full duration at given height. The Robots are verily maneuverable though...   |

I don't understand Pix's thinking. Every one says they need to make money but by introducing new bots so close together they are cannibalizing each new content they release.

That flight altitude / speed looks just about perfect. Not so high up you're drawing fire from everywhere and slow enough to get in sustained fire.

It probably was an early but aborted attempt on a Chinese faction, along with the Carnage. Pixo had intentions for a Chinese faction for a long while. |
