Here is a good vid: Holy ?fluffernutter? they look cool. Feels like BoT's Cormorant sent Pixo into a panic mode. Its like the sudden influx of quad robots (Weyland, Invader, Rayker) after the BoT's Nelly and Mite showed up.

I've actually designed/drew robots similar to the new dragon robots. The one with the most health looks amazing and the others are probably going to look amazing as well with their textures finished. Having what's basically an upgraded carnage is going to be amazing, and new playstyles are going to be fun to try out. I've loved dragons and this seems to be well designed, although the balance and the meta will certaintly shift. It's not anything super special though so it shouldn't break the meta like the pantheon, korean, and stealth bots did.

God I hate Manni. Can't the ?fluffernutter?er talk like a normal human being? I think I have watched about 1 minute total of one of his videos before I had to cut it off because of how he spoke. Also, why does he make those faces on the video start/cover screen? It annoys me to no end because I'll open a post not expecting one of his videos and the first thing I see is his goofy expression.

This new Spyro The Dragon game looks pretty cool. Looks very interesting. I would have loved to play this pre-module.

They forgot the Aegis shield on the new bots! I'm sure it will be fixed in the next test server or if they don't sell as expected.

The first run on the test server is done. The Red Dragon is missing, but the White and Green Dragon are there. It does not take long to see how Pixo can manufacture new robots so quickly. Ao Guang is a Hover-Haechi-Golem reskin, while the Ao Jun is a Bulwark-Carnage reskin. Ao Qin would have been a Blitz-Patton reskin, if it showed up in the test server. Manni must be joking saying these are not as overpowered as Ares. I think they are, and in the back of my mind, even more powerful than the Greek bots. The ability to fly around gives them that advantage of being an air force on their own --- the ones that separate that soar through the sky as opposed to the ground dwellers, even when they are height limited. For starters, flying, like jumping and hovering, are a mobility advantage that is incalculable in the battlefield. The second is that by taking off, the robot clears obstacles and finds new angles to attack an opponent. Being able to hover around quickly also means they can duck in and out of cover. When these advantages are combined with stealth or damage resistance, plus a built in residual attack, that's something else. As flying robots, the best weapons are those with a strong auto lock on, so you can better mind piloting rather than pilot and aim at the same time. Ao Jun would have benefited from the Calamity or heavy Scourge, but isn't present in the test server. While it has sniper potential, I prefer its use as a brawler, either with Exodus, Avenger, Glory or Ember. My particular favorite would be to fit it with Thermites. Homing missiles feel synergistic with aerial platforms, turning these robots into bombers. Same with Ao Guang, my favorite setup would be with Vortexes. But its also at home with Hydras and Tulumbas. For energy weapons, I would say Scourge. Ao Guang's damage resistance isn't as strong a special ability as Ao Jun's stealth, but its built in fire using missiles is ridiculous. I like to refer to them as Hyper Hydras for good reason. Its hard to be safe from them as these missiles are fired from a flying platform can find the right angles to get you. You can duck out from the Ares' return fire, these missiles are another matter. That makes me wonder what Ao Qin has in store, being an energy weapon (similar to Ares) with a range of 600 meters. As for modules I didn't experiment with them so much, but I did equip every last one with Repair modules. I didn't find the other active modules to be as useful. On the passive side, just armor modules, but the next time I would consider fitting the Ao Guang with Battleborn and Deathmask and Ao Jun with Deathmask.

My Dragoons are very excited for the release of flying bots! They will be flying in stealth unless you get the quantum radar .They learned from the hover.

Can you modify the altitude when you are in flight? I canβt tell from watching videos. It looks like they ascend to an arbitrary height and stay there until the ability decays

Can't seem to modify the flight height.
Next note. The Red Dragon is only found by pressing the Skirmish mode. It does not appear to have a real body of its own, but instead borrows the Green Dragon's body with a red color.

Just watched Adrian's TS video, and the green dragon has built in Orkans that home like spirals. I'm calling them Sporkans! You heard it here first lol.

So after viewing videos and seeing their effect on the battlefield, it's clear that what I said was wrong. They are most certainly meta breaking but DO have a few downsides. For one, flying makes it harder to shoot with scourges and any type of lock on effect at close range although the shocktrain and any type of long range weapon will do fine. However, this is mitigated because of weapons like the orkan and the ember. The flying makes them a little more vulnerable to ranged weaponry but they have stealth and resistnce so there is not much point to saying that. On the ground, they're weak like any other robot and so wouldn't be hard to take out one on one with the right robots. Their abilities are the main problem. Get rid of the extra weapons, mitigate the stealth and resistance and the robots would be fine. If we wanted a fire breathing robot, the ember setup would definitely work. Then, they'd basically be a variation of the hover that focuses on speed and OVERALL agility/maneuverability rather than altitude and bursts of unpredictability. However, a big problem is the one on one. It's hard to take down the dragon bot because you'd need specific bots for the job and good strategy. Now, while you can say that's a good thing, I can only think of 2 good matchups against them, that being the ares and the spectre. Those two have high firepower and can wait out the assault, and while the dragon robots aren't going to make any bots worse, the fact that only 2 robots will be viable will definitely make battle boring and hard for non-whales. I was excited but after seeing the videos, Pixonic isn't giving us hope. If they got rid of the weapons and the stealth was in BURSTS and resistance was 20% then it might work.

My Dragoons are very excited for the release of flying bots! They will be flying in stealth unless you get the quantum radar .They learned from the hover. The active modules are free. Pix is converting tokens to power cells. Champions League players will get enough power cells on day one to push the button 1000x. We'll get more power cells with every honor chest. With that in mind what makes you think ranged bots won't be using those modules extensively with flying stealth bots in the game?

I would say the quality of matches in the Test Server has deteriorated in the last several sessions, and this deterioration has been more marked starting with the Pantheon robots and the modules. It certainly isn't better on this one. Matches are being decided which side has the more powerful robots. AS you see, even when these powerful robots and modules are free, people are still bringing in older and legacy robot types to represent their favorite types they use in the live server or players who are trying to test other robots that they don't have. Games end quickly with one rout after another in most of the matches. If this is representative of the next meta-age of War Robots its not going to be pretty. The game has turned into who brings the most powerful gear wins.
I am not sure how you can stop a clan coordinated rushing equipped with these things.
In my opinion, Ao Jun in particular, can lose a bit of walking speed, HP, flight speed, and duration of stealth most importantly, but perhaps the last one if you are only going to do one nerf.
Ao Guang's missiles can do a bit of a nerf.

They seem to float lazily in the air where they can strike with impunity. However, they can't get altitude or zip around like a Hover.
They are unhittable in the air but, as someone on this forum said "They gotta land sometime."

...I hate these robots. No no they look cool and I'm sure they'll be fun to play even if they mess up the meta, but how the heck am I supposed to add these into my book?? A game about giant robots and I'm trying to look for a shred of realism All jokes aside, I don't think these guys will take off (metaphorically). They don't seem as powerful as Pantheon despite their ability. I don't see much changes incoming. Everyone will treat them like they did Hovers. Always shoot the Hover first. Period. You don't seem to get the "power" of the Ao Jun. It flies. It hovers. For 8 seconds. IN STEALTH. Meaning your Dragoons are a joke when they can't hit it. But soon enough its right over you to enable the use of its built in Ember. If you got two more Embers there, that's like a flying Fury with three Embers with Stealth. Your robot will die before those 8 seconds of stealth are up. How fast it flies? How about 89kph. Even when its on the ground, without using its special ability, you are dealing with a Bulwark/Carnage like thingie with two Heavy weapons --- like two Dragoons, two Exodus, two Avengers, two Embers --- that walks pretty quick for its firepower and a ton of HP. This is not a slow robot on the ground. The other two Dragons are a bit more balanced. although Ao Guang is a genuine troll bot. While the specs are still not final, it seems that Pixo is in the habit of releasing 1 out of 3 new robots in an overpowered state.

White dragon robot is not stealth, pilot name will not be displayed + You can not attack with lockdown weapon. + The robot itself becomes transparent. Remarks: This ability will lose effect with anti-stealth as well as normal stealth.

They are either bored or running out of ideas....they could've paired the release with the Falcon and timed to chines new year. I won't be getting these bots or the Greek ones...after seeing the 2.99 strider clearly we know what Pix does a year after Intro.
