Greetings pilots! I hope as the year approaches its end, you and yours are safe and warm (or staying cool), and you're preparing to enjoy the holiday and/or new years traditions you hold dear.
I wanted to a take a minute to say thank you. To everyone who takes the time to play, chat, help other pilots, and just generally join in on the merriment and mirth we like to create in 6 Pack. It wouldn't be what it is without you. It is my honor to serve you as commissioner.
This format just recently passed the anniversary of its first year of existence. So I thought we should celebrate. And by celebrate I mean stage a holiday event with an actual prize pool.
The proper 6 Pack League tournament will take a break until January. Until then, there will be two events that will both award a month of premium to every pilot on the winning teams (or the highest finishers): NoobPack, and The Commissioner's Trophy. Both events begin on December 9th, 2018, and end on December 31st, 2018.
NoobPack is exclusively for pilots that have never played 6 Pack before, and will be staged in 2 places: on the main league discord server for Android participants, and on the iOS 6/6 Fight Club discord server for iOS pilots. This server is the headquarters for all iOS 6 Pack activity. The rules are the same.
The main 6 Pack League server:
discord.gg/FjUTqrz
The iOS 6/6 Fight Club server:
discord.gg/QCnuaSr
In both servers, you will see a category called either 'iOS NoobPack' or 'Droid NoobPack.' In each section will be a copy of the information sheet, and channels for signing up and posting results.
Below is what the information sheet contains:
What is NoobPack?
NoobPack is EXCLUSIVELY for pilots who have never played 6 Pack before.
NoobPack will be standard 6 Pack rules, with the only exception being that hangars are allowed to carry no more than one ancilot. Not lances in general, just ancilots. If you're not familiar with what constitutes a standard 6 Pack legal hangar, just check out this handy thread:

It works like this: new players that sign up will compete with one another to gain points. Where and how? By joining the numerous Fight Nights we stage on both iOS and Android.
Fight Nights are a fun and engaging way to get involved with 6 Pack in a casual fashion. They occur multiple times a week, and with iOS, virtually every evening US time.
The pilots who have registered for NoobPack and join a Fight Night can take a screenshot of a battle results screen that they can then post in the results channel for points.
Just posting a screenshot gets you one point. Posting the highest damage for the day gets you 2 points, and posting the highest beacon capture total of the day gets you 3 points.
This is very important: registered pilots can post ONE single screenshot per day. It's up to you to choose which one will represent your points for the day. Once you post, you have submitted your points for that particular day. The point deadline for each day is 11:59 PM, Eastern Standard time in the United States.
The event ends on December 31st, after which the top 3 finishers on each platform will all receive a month's premium for their efforts.
The channels for registering and posting results screenshots are in those respective discord servers. You CANNOT sign up here.
Stay tuned, pilots, and stay frosty. And Happy Holidays from all of us in the 6 Pack community.
