I wanted to debate the Leo, and how it's best used in your world.
I do not really want a debate on better bots, or this weapon is this and that weapon is that, please limit yourself to the Leo as a bot, and whatever you can bolt onto it. As it has 4 mounts, one heavy and three light, please form your answer in this math and you may totally add why you like it or how you use it.
I will go first and put myself 'out there' to lead by example. After messing with a bunch of setups, I have to admit that I think what fits me best is 3aphid/thunder Leo. I do not own Tridents yet and when I do I don't see that working with aphids but.. that's another thread, not this one.
Yes Leo in any form is fairly slow and near useless on huge maps, but it's pretty nice to have on dead city or power plant, so you pay some homage to maps affecting your setup in your reply as needed. I only have so much, this is about all I got today, so I run it on every map because I don't have anything else.
The aphids take thought to use on fast cappers and miss a lot, but cappers are what come at you first in the commute and aphids work great if you connect. After that, the aphids (350m) force you to get close enough to the fight, which means you have to then take on most all knifers and even some mids. This opens you up to everything, plasma or not, rockets and those dang snipers watching you waddle forever. The thunder helps when the aphids are reloading, so you don't have to sit there empty like a fujin, and the bang bang scatter does deter some, kill others, gives you something to do between 350 and 500, but usually you are totally holding the button hoping for the reload to come before you die.
I do not see this mix at all in other hangars so I bet it's there are a ton of other ideas on how to roll Leo, thus we have this thread.
How do you Leo?

I like my Leo with Pinata Thunders. I play it like the old Pinata Vityaz, peek, shoot, hide.
Trident Pin Leo is not a bad setup, but the firepower isn't too impressive.

I run three different Leo setups depending on mood:
Thunder Pinata Zeus Gekko Thunder Magnums
Of the three, Thunder Pinata is by far the more devastating. HOWEVER Zeus Gekko makes me laugh my 「bum-bum」 off. It's absurd and fun. Thunder Magnums just seem to find Galahads waaaaaaaay to often.

I agree on the Thunder Magnum setup one. Every single time I use it, I only see Galahads and no Griffins.

When I'm tired of a Trident Fury, I throw in a Trident / Pin Leo for a change of pace

I run a thunder aphid Leo in place of an aphid gep. Every time I think of replacing it, I have a fantastic match with it. Then the next 5 are lousy.
Think I'm going to pop on the piñatas and try that set up.

Aphid/Thunder Pinata/Thunder Magnum/Thunder Pin/Trident Gekko/Treb
Sometimes I will replace the top Aphid or Pinata with a Magnum - hate reloads, so I get a little protection after I shoot the rockets or missiles. Also been known to replace a Pin with a Punisher.

If the map is Yamantau, Power Plant or Dead City, my first bot to run is Leo with Ancile and 3 Aphids.

I run the leo pinatas/thunder i really love that setup, works fine on Shenzen, Power Plant, Dead City, Cayon and if I manage to get into center beacon on Yamantau also works great, i usted it to defend beacons, when gareth or stalker comes is really easy to kill them, i had killed almost every bot on the game with this setup

I have benn getting so much of the aphid bug on the ancile Leo! 1 and even 2 of them explode upon firing. Every single time. It's insanely frustrating. Gave up the build altogether.

I like pot head leo, when he works. Right now due to the bug mine is benched. Really like the bot just no spare weapons for a useful set up atm.

I have 5 set ups I use from time to time. Thunder/mag, thunder/pinata, thunder/aphid, trident/pin and Zeus/ molot or gekko if I have them. The thunder/aphid is far away the most effective, but the Zeus set-up has a special place in my dead black heart.

Thunder/mag leo, find a piece of cover that you can move around behind and the 350m range, unlimited ammo, and good damage make it great at keeping an area clear. If a Griff jumps to you the thunder does a nice job of making him select another bot.

Thunder/Pinatas. Peek shoot then hide. Excellent for dealing with ancile bots. Fire off the thunder then let the pinatas loose.

I run mine with two Mags, a thunder, and a Punisher. The punisher starts dropping shields at 500m, and the rest eats folks once in range.
I never really wanted a Leo, but I won one over the lunar event, so I decided to give it a try. It's not terrible.

Ancile Aphid
Trident/Pins is pretty decent mid-range

Certainly not the best loadout, but when I decide to run a pure distance sniper just for a change of pace, 3xGekko/Nashorn (KWK) works surprisingly well on maps like yam and springfield. Doesn't do the most damage (only lvl 8 gekkos and lvl 6 nashorn). Once I stuck in it for all 10 minutes on the dam in springfield and I think I did like 450k damage, but it makes other snipers keep their heads down, and is pretty effective at making furies hide instead of owning the field.
If I were playing it for real, I'd go either aphid ancile or aphid thunder.

I run both Zeus and Thunder Leos with a variety of lights: magnums, aphids, pinatas, pins, punishers. Lots of combos work - if I mix weapons I'll often put a gun in the top light mount to add some sustained fire to the Thunder's efforts. Zeus pairs very well with other sustained fire weapons (mags, bullets, gekkos) if you can keep the range open.

Thunder magnums, ancile aphid is quite a solid build. It helps that the Leo is now a pretty good health tank. The issue with thunder magnum is that unless up close, that thunder in that heavy slot is weak and not pulling its weight. I have seen ancile magnum or piñata before, that guy helped me tank a ton of missiles, he played actively to tank those missiles, I wish I grabbed a screenshot of his hangar to remember him.

I run an unusual Thunder/Aphid/2x Magnum Leo. And it works fairly well. I can soften up reds from a cover using the Aphid and when It's time to engage them, the barrage of 2 Magnums and Thunder confuses the enemy. Powerplant Map is where this frankenstein works well.

When I rotate my Leo in; currently with a Thunder/Mag setup. I drop it when I see Anciles on the battlefield. I had benched Leo the way before the new MM, building my med hanger. I was matched in 6/9 heavy hell, I pulled it out trying something new. With the buff, it tanks well with all the hp. Have run it with several set-ups: *Thunder/Mag - main load out *Thunder/Pinata - prefer constant weapon fire *Trident/Pin - only 2 Pins level 10, next is 7 - firepower is so-so, prefer Tri/Carny or recently tried Tri/Pin Natty.

Cool thing about Magnums on a Leo is timing the fire rate. Press one Mag, then the next one and then the red button. You need to do it quick and with some practice you get the timing just right to throw out plasma at an alarming fire rate. Looks cool, sounds cool and the green + will be constantly red.
I'm running Leo with Ancile/Magnums or Thunder/Punishers. When I go Ancile I look for a heavy knifer and glue myself to his back. Very deadly combo to everything red.
A fun setup is Ancile/Punisher/2xEcu. Let it sit at center beacon and protect team mates against incoming ordinance with your shield. Or get plasma opponents to shoot at you instead of your team mate. The Ecu has impressive health and with focused team mates you can pretty much turn a beacon into a death trap for attacking folks. Mine are lvl9 and have 100k health. It's like wearing another two bots on your light hardpoints. Why the Punisher? To wear down the health of Anciles from attackers so your bodyguards can have their easy kill.

I use two setups (do not have aphids yet) Thunder-3xpinata well known setup Thunder-2xpinata-magnum (on the thunder side) The second setup lose some burst damage however it makes corner shooting possible while the pinatas are reloading.

I mixed my set up a bit. Leo with thunder, 2 mags and a pinata.
Perfect for close range. I use it to wrestle closely guarded beacons from the red team at critical moments,
Leo is slow, so you should have an objective whenever you decide to eject and choose him. On big maps like canyon, springfield, yamantau, the leo is capable of breaking through or defending the "D" beacon("C" beacon for canyon), where alot of the action takes place.

My favorite Leo was the thunder/punisher. Mine was level 8 across the board. I would often lead off with it so I could hose down the stalkers who thought they were all that under stealth. I worked even better at range since so many of them tried to keep me at 300-350 to minimize the thunder but all they did was maximize the spread of lead. Less burst damage than piñatas, less staying power than mags, I still loved their ability versus stealth and for sneaking rounds around shields.
Sadly retired a way back so I could play with my new rhino.

Other ideas on how to roll Leo.... Use a Rhino to roll it off a cliff, into the scrapyard of bots you no longer use. In my opinion Leo is just a Piñata full of Ag for RDB Griffs to pop open. I tried using a Thunder/Mag Leo after the update for a bit, but it was agonizingly slow. The only Leo setup I'd consider is the Ancile/Aphid loadout, but the Aphids explode too often on the body of Leo (bug) so it is also a no-go for me. I'd suggest switching to a Griffin or Lancelot if possible.
