So it was deemed (again) that I should be in Champion league rather than Diamond/Expert, and when I mewled, support said hanger strength is a determining factor now. A few games in that meat grinder and I pondered whether it was worth sitting there losing matches for weeks until I was back in playable territory. Then I pondered if I even enjoy this game anymore. I've spent so long upgrading and saving and buying and adapting it's become habit, it's what I do. Log in, get keys, get components, watch ads to get gold, get slaughtered while hoping to get the set up that will allow me to compete. So I opened up Battle Titans. And it's fek you, War Robots. No stoopid beacons, no ridiculous upgrade times, no hyper overpowered trendy bot/weapon of the moment costing hundreds of dollars before it becomes obsolete a few weeks later. No adverts. No grinding out daily tasks. No dancing between game modes. All three types of bot are viable and useful - that little leaping bot can give those heavy boys some real grief and vice versa. I win some, I lose some, but unlike Flaw Robots it's not a maddening loss. You just don't get as much currency (of which there is only one). The match itself is actually fun and is reward enough. No health indicators on your opponents, and sometimes, no way to see where they even went. There's only a few bots and a few weapons and a couple of maps but damn it's actually fun (it may turn to shyte at some point, but for now, it's really fun). I've put up with a lot from this game, rhinos, the new matchmaking, the endless new currencies, gep/mag pew pew pew, trident furies, leaver queue, dash bots, shocktrains, spectres, the stealth deluge, months to upgrade stuff and now being forced to be chum for whales. I feel like I just looked up from the newspaper and finally saw the monstrosity this game has become... And it's...

I have been playing BoT more than War Robots recently as well.
It will begin to be a grind once you have upgraded all the tier 1 level gear and bots.
Thankfully, I am not there yet and I still have the Tirpitz and Shon to acquire and level up.
We’ll see how economically inhibited it becomes once the game becomes more established.

Good luck. Thanks for making the announcement and letting us know you are quitting the game.

My finger hovers between War Robots and BoT but other than to just empty supply crates, I keep getting seduced into jumping into a Titan. I was on a six game losing streak last night. If that were war robots, I'd have again tested the durability of my phones Otter Defender vs the floor. Titans, more of an ah well, maybe next time response. I think I'm going to save up way more than needed to get to Tier 2, so that when I go up I can get a few upgrades straight away. If matchmaking is tier based (no idea if it is) I want to swim a little higher than absolute bottom of the pool when I make the jump up. Although averaging about 100K a battle, and with battles actually being enjoyable, rustling up a few million shouldn't be a problem. With spare time over the holidays I might cough up for premium for a week.
