I am trying to think of ways to get more aphids into my hangar. After the buff they are pretty awesome. What do you think about a Zeus Aphids Leo (as opposed to Aphids Patton)? I feel like it may be more versatile than a Patton, even if a single Zeus doesn't deliver a knockout punch. Figure I would get some opinions before I buy my first Zeus

Oh yes!!! This setup is very devastating in the right hands.
Surprisingly worked really really well. Only set back is the price, practically cost 5 Aphids. And on a slower heavy bot (which limits your weapon level if your other bots are heavy bots in low gold tier)

Thunder + aphids on a Leo also works great Zeus better imo due to the homing. You can hide behind covers and don't have expose yourself too much as compared to the Thunder. |

is the buff only on Ios ? have noticed any difference on android. Watched on youtube and noticed the steep higher arc that clears buildings on powerplant and shenzen maps. Mine (on android) keep hitting the buildings ?

Mine (on android) keep hitting the buildings ? its also on Android. The firing arc sometimes fails miserably, but main effect seems to be a much tighter rocket circle on impact. (I only tested a bit, only have 2 aphids atm) |

Check out Adrian's video titled Pot Head Warriors, its basically Leo with Aphids and.....Ancile.
Quite effective too, that Leo with 200k+ hp...holy...

I'm trying out Zeus Aphid Leo now. I think the preference between Thunder/Zeus will boil down to play style. IMHO, Aphids aren't knifing weapons, so I think the Zeus will fit my style better.
Either way, with Aphids, the more the better and with the speed buff Aphid Patton is better, IMHO. But Leo would be second choice to get more Aphids in play, if that is your objective.

I ran an ancile lance on TS and it was decent. not enough to go buy an ancile though.

I'd rather have a quad aphid patto n for obvious reasons. Leo is too slow to be using a guerilla weapon like aphids.

I gave up on the Leo pretty fast. First run-out was awesome and then after that it kind of sucked. Not enough aphid power to be super devastating, and just a thunder wasn't enough to kill anything that turned a corner to visit me.

Still leveling the Zeus, but it is better than Thunder. I still think Patton is the best and really only choice for Aphids. Too situational for me in pairs only. Aphid Stalker is now better, but you just don't do enough damage with Stalker in general. My guess though is when I get Zeus leveled a bit more, I'll still prefer the Patton.
I want to like Leo, but frankly, I'm becoming convinced it sucks or is outdated. The Leos I find annoying are probably maxed ones. I've never found any Leo to be devastating.

They are one of the easiest to kill. You just time your firing to arrive a moment after they land. You get good at it and it is almost a sure major hit or instant kill. I find Detriers harder and wish they would jump. My 2 high performers are 2x Aphid/Gepards 4/6. I love hunting with them! |
