The question isn't their affiliation, it's whether or not they make an effective moderator. Well, I would just ask that you take a "clubber's" and/or "tanker's" perspective into consideration, before making a decision. Because I believe such considerations would make an impact, whether one were consciously aware of it or not... I see...kinda like how courts employ criminals during trials, for a different perspective. They do that, right? (This post was intended as a joke, I'd advise just ignoring it, I actually think a different perspective in moderation wouldn't be a bad idea) if if we are nominating, I choose DirtyLikaRat®love that guy |

I rescind my request from Moderator in favour of something to do with organising forum mini games... judging by certain peoples' wicked senses of humour I'm sure one of you smart blokes and bellas can think of a title for that.

Please refrain from trolling this thread. Also to those applying, Let me ask you a few questions: 1. Why do you want to be a moderator and what can you offer? 2. Do you have any past experience as a moderator? 3. Why do you see yourself as a better candidate than the others? (In other words, what are your qualifications?) 4. How long have you played War Robots? 4a. Are you knowledgeable? 5. Are you fluent in English? 6. Is there anything else you'd like to tell us? Any past history of cheating or clubbing/tanking? (Be honest. This won't impact your evaluation in a negative or positive way) 1) I would like to give back to the forum as it has been very helpful to me in growing with in this game. I can offer a non-top tier centric perspective. Some players just want to experiment or know what is fun "right now". The answer to is "A or B better?" is not "Neither, both options are bad for Top Tier!", it is "I'd say B, but if you are aiming for Top Tier, these are some better options" . I am currently teaching my kid how to run a clan for other new , young players. This gives me a kind of stern dad approach to Moderating. 2) None whatsoever 3) See 1, plus I am constantly experimenting so as the meta changes, I am often ahead of the game. I also understand the Meta and have seen it change multiple times. I am also on my 3rd or 4th lvl 30 account so I have learned the wrong way to do it, and provide that from knowledge. I handle leadership well IRL, and know that temperament and appearance of a Moderator are not the same as how I respond as a regular member. 4) Since right after the great Kang Dae nerf in update .9 4a) Mostly. I understand the Meta, and experiment a lot. I have a grounded knowledge of why the meta is the meta, but I have never gone, or wanted to go yet, into Top Tier play. Still working that direction slowly, I'm in no rush. 5) Mostly: 100% fluent in 'Merican, Sarcasm, and Cynicism 6) Former member of WikEd, left over disagreement on experimental hangars, I have run 3 Gep hangars in the past with weapon 4 lvls higher than geps. Never thought of it as "farming", just enjoyed the run N' gun style of Gep play and leveled them out of relevance several times. P.S. I see TintheFiend put in, and if we are looking for only one Mod, I feel strongly that he is the one best qualified, by both knowledge and temperament. |

1a. I want to give back to the game/community/whoever and I would actually prefer to be just a guide with a limited set of privs but will mod if needed or wanted. I would also mod later if you wish to see that level of right earned instead of handed out, your call.. even consultant with access to the mod quad but no rights is ok too, I'm looking to contribute and give, not flame and take. Besides, guide is the gig to have if you still want to give input to threads or on a board... depending. Mods need to almost not post and admins sometimes never post. Yes here might be different, again all your call.
1b. What I have to offer is real world experience and web experience, as I have designed in and navigated both. Having expectations or hopes or ground rules is one thing, getting someone to execute them or enforce them or adhere to them is a second, and third what happens or what to do or how to respond if/when those fail are three very different things. Most just can't wrangle errant anything much less divide what they see into what they should do. As a clear example, in this thread case 3 is rampant and ready to derail the thread. It's maybe ironic that designing a tool is nearly the same as governing a BBS because both share similar pitfalls as mentioned in 1a above. Also, I really like this game.
2. Yes, have been guide, moderator, super-mod and admin for a short time so I have seen all four in action and know what is typical of the role and what posts or actions from these should reflect. Also having gotten the first hundred posts out of my system, I think I've settled in.
3. Not sure any of this makes me better, I'd say I'm just different have a lot of perspective you can't buy. Anyone know the Sam Kinison skit when he meets Satan in hell? Yeah, married with children really qualifies you do know how to deal with crap let me tell ya... those skills actually help a BBS too if you can believe it.
4. About 4 months or so, I wish I knew about this years ago as I have wanted a giant mech game since I was a kid. Not that this is the time or place to share any details, but I grew up on Battlezone and Missle Command and Asteroids and Tempest and games like that and War Robots was so technically impossible on so many levels back in the day it's not funny... remember dragons lair... lol... lets pre-render all the aphids... can you picture trying to port this game onto a 2600? That would be hilarious wouldn't it, that cube is way to powerful for my cube.. waaaaah.
4a. Trick question? Would say well above average in game, given the average is probably not that high, and very above average outside. In War Robots I will be upfront that I don't own every weapon and every bot yet, but even with things as they are I have climbed back up the ladder and roll about a 70% win rate with at 4 bot hangar so I'd offer my game knowledge isn't all that bad. I have a short wish list of what I want when I get to 5k gold, I will possibly never own a few things because of my plans, and I have bought, ran and shelved a noricum zenit tasha which alone is proof of being both new and achieving growth in the game.
5. Yep, so much so I've given up good grammar in most my postings... which with all the periods and capitals usually misused... still reads pretty well.
6. I don't tank or cheat, it's only worth climbing to the top if you actually climb. I have farmed a bit, but that was mostly to help gain gold because 5k and because it's really not a cheat and isn't a tank at all. In fact, it could be argued that a hard core farmer would make a nice team mate such that one bot can cap beacons while the other 5 make dead reds... but there are many drawbacks to this and very off topic to the OP. In any capacity, when properly farming you have to help your team win because you don't get gold if they don't win. Because beacons win games, capping is high value so farming is a popular effect. Past that I have a nice resume I'm not looking to post here, a BS degree in a technical science that I'm also not wanting to post here and a pair of kids who I will refuse to post here. Theyt teach me things almost every day, this morning they had these remote control battle cars in the kitchen raising a huge racket... I love this, the cry of "ahhh... go back to your spawn point... heeeeeerreeesss Johnny!!" was just epic. A learner willing to expand is not super common and all these are valuable assets to what you'd get.. in the package.. willing to work for free!! Plus if you're not happy, I'm asking to be fired for this up front so its not a passive expectation, it's an actionable premise.

I planned on organizing a Facebok group to help the lower leagues, I made the page for it already.
I have every intention of becoming a well known personality within the community, might as well start off correctly.
I started playing Dungeons and Dragons in 1980, I was eleven.
I have been a hardcore gamer and game related writer ever since.
I think we would mutually benefit from the experience of my moderating War Robots.
My core perspective comes from having to balance the game and sooth egos.
I will be present on both Game Center and Google Play, currently only on Android.

I will be spending money on the game. Not for the power or because I'm in hurry.
No, I want to get some cool stuff and also look good.
