I would like to become a moderator. I think I'd be perfect for this role because I spend a lot of time on the forum and people have accused me of mini-moderating on more than one occasion.

I was one before. Don't really know, if I want to be again, but I'm a bit curious. What are the requirements? Do you have mods especially for the subchannels? Or are you all moderating all?

I'd like to rule myself out because I'm too much of an 「bum-bum hole」, but I respect the mod team for the work they've done, what they are determined to do, and the fair way they have held me accountable for my stupid 「dookie」.

I am interested, but if you don't really need moderators, that is fine.
As for my credentials, I have been an administrator in Respawnables Wikia since October 2014, a bureaucrat since November 2014 and a 'Moderator' since July 2014.
I'd like to know what you would expect of moderators? Do you need a specific post count? A decent hangar? Age?

Former super mod, guide and admin, would be willing to help out if needed. Censorship vs civility is the toughest BBS topic there is, how to avoid one while employing the other is the struggle I see most. PM would be appreciated even if it's a no thanks.

Yeah, I've seen several wikias where you have to be 18 or older to get a position.

Yeah, I've seen several wikias where you have to be 18 or older to get a position. Some time ago, I was a mod in germanies biggest online forum. I wasn't even asked, how old I was. It was all about my behavior in the forum. And wow, this here forum is nice and quiet, compared to the other. Almost two to three bans a day. Range from one day to all eternity. But they got other things to discuss. I was mod in politics sub forum. It was like my own small corner of hell sometimes...

I second him, only because Death by Pigs is a great clan name. I don't really care if he's qualified or not. We deserve a moderator belonging to a clan with such a great clan name. If he turns out to be some abusive ban hammer twitchy self serving moderator, the admins can always remove him after the ensuing drama. Also, make the new moderator be in charge of moving all posts to their respective sub sections, I am tired of reporting the posts of people who can't read or use forums. I suppose by posting in here, I am technically applying for the job. I will say in my defense that I am a irresponsible bugger who will not do what is required of me, so not a great choice because I would be fired pretty soon and this whole process gets repeated.

I am surprised no one was ever made a thread nagging the admins for a position yet. Happens all the time in my wikia. I promote people usually on a poll, where users decide if the candidate is fit for the job. Politics, yeah, I can see there being lots of internet wars there.

I would like to be a moderator. I bring to the table an objective view, listen to the people, very diplomatic, and you won't ever hear me put anyone down.. I am fair and can be very neutral when need to be. I play war robots a lot and am on the forums a good bit too. Thanks

1. Why do you want to be a moderator and what can you offer? I want to be a moderator because there are / is position(s) available. I can help keep things calm in the rants section and I have excellent judgement in the place when a thread should be closed or not or if a user should be banned for trolling / vandalism / flaming. I am very active here and I am willing to dedicate my time in this Forum moving thread or doing whatever a moderator does if I were to receive the position. I do know some CSS, if you need me to put censors on some words. I tend to be more interactive with other users, something that this forum lacks. 2. Do you have any past experience as a moderator? Yes. See next line for descriptions. 3. Why do you see yourself as a better candidate than the others? (In other words, what are your qualifications?) If you didn't read my first post here, I have been a moderator in Respawnables Wikia since July 2014. An administrator since October 2014 and a Bureaucrat since November 2014. So, I am what Strayed or ShutUpAndSmokeMyWeed is, except on another wikia. respawnables.wikia.com/wiki/User:Darkangel12S <- That is my profile page and I believe it can demonstrate my dedication. 21.7K edits as of now. I have kinda retired from Respawnables for War Robots, so I spend the majority of my time online, here. I know some CSS (written some here -> respawnables.wikia.com/wiki/MediaWiki:Wikia.css ) and I have taken part of reverting and fighting an attack by a vandal / troll that manipulated his IP so have an unlimited supply of account and taken actions against 2 massive group vandal and troll attack. 4. How long have you played War Robots? Since the beginning of October of last year. 4a. Are you knowledgeable? Yes, I am good at giving hangar tips and I could tell you the tier you were in, in the old MM. I am getting a good idea of how the matchmaking works now, but I still need to figure out what causes the outliers. 5. Are you fluent in English? Yes. 6. Is there anything else you'd like to tell us? Any past history of cheating or clubbing/tanking? (Be honest. This won't impact your evaluation in a negative or positive way) I've never cheated or hacked any games. If you consider clubbing 4/6 Thunder Schlutzes, yes I have done that to earn my 4th slot, and I have played 4/6 Thunder Taran, Pinata Vityaz, Magnum Patton and Rocket Golem in low silver to earn my 4 Orkans and 5th slot. After that was solid 6/8s. I have never tanked or ditched.

Actually I withdraw my application for moderator, I think my views are too controversial.
1) I think the matchmaking is a real mess (see my comments in mm rant) 2) Tanking may not be a cool thing to do but I understand why some do it. I think it has a lot to do with intent. Regardless, I feel it hurts fair game play for others. People need to find other ways to protest mm, not tank and hurt others. Please take your losses in game but win in the letters to Pixonic and in this forum. 3) I am strong against people picking and choosing maps (I feel it compounds the overall issues associated with fair game play. 4) I think Pixonic has a good game here, but that is as far as my respect goes for Pixonic. I feel that the new mm had a major effect on my equipment and weaponry that I paid a lot of money for (I have 10 geps, 5 I was using for silver and 3 I was using for low gold, along with galahads. The other 2 geps never saw the light of day as Pixonic changed everything before they were leveled up and implimented into the system) Pixonic refused to refund me for my losses. 5) At this point my distain for this company may be too great, and moderator might not be a good fit for me and this forum. I came here because I got very poor results when trying to speak directly with Pixonic. Thought if I came here, I could vent concerns and hear others what they have to say about the same issues I am seeing.
Thanks for offering moderator to the public, I think it is a great thing to do.

1. Why do you want to be a moderator and what can you offer? - Herding cats is hard work, and it looks like we'll need all the help we can get, I'm willing to step up to the cause. - I can offer a lifetime of experience, including 40+ years of being a nerd, geek, intellectual, and gamer.
2. Do you have any past experience as a moderator? I was a moderator for many community forums/chats/groups in the past, going back to dial-up BBS, Usenet, AoL, IRC, ICQ... uhm, I can't remember all the acronyms and games, aight? I follow my own code, and I have a strong sense of honor and decorum. I won't allow my personal beliefs to compromise the integrity of the administration or community if they should ever come into conflict.
3. Why do you see yourself as a better candidate than the others? (In other words, what are your qualifications?) I've done this before. I've seen some feces. I can run circles around most trolls.
4. How long have you played War Robots? Year and a half ish? Joined Wikia and Forums about 2 months after I started playing.
4a. Are you knowledgeable? My friends call me a walking encyclopedia. Sometimes they are joking.
5. Are you fluent in English? My mother was an English Major, with touches of OCD. Try me.
6. Is there anything else you'd like to tell us? Any past history of cheating or clubbing/tanking? (Be honest. This won't impact your evaluation in a negative or positive way)
I've said it publicly before, but I consider myself a reformed flaming troll. Much like Pokemon and other collectible tribes, there are stages of evolution in the growth of a troll. On AoL I was a n00b troll, picking low hanging fruit and lots of personal insulting. On ICQ & IRC I was a 2nd stage troll, having gotten bored with the normal folks, I would troll the trolls and the admins and generally pick on perceived authority. I usually give up on the metaphor at this point, so to finish up let's just say that once I got bored with being a flaming troll, I discovered it's more fun to just be my bizarre self. I promise to be a master-debater, not an argue-er.
As for the game, I was an outspoken proponent for gold farming under the old MM, and a constant grey-walker on the moral and ethical degrees of difference in clubbing and farming and so on. Which continues to this day in soft vs hard tanking/smurfing/twinking/wha-evs.

This won't impact your evaluation in a negative or positive way) 1. I truly enjoy these forums and want to make them as successful as possible. I can offer a level head and even fair hand. 2. No, I'm been a member of a number of forums over the years, though I have never held the title of moderator. I have been accused of vigelante moderating in the past where I felt the mod/admin team was failing to act or failing to act in a consistent and fair manner in accordance with forum rules. 3. I can't argue that I am a better candidate than the others as I do not know their qualifications nor have enough history with each of them to adequately judge their merits. As for me, I am logical, analytical, and capable of executing the required duties with a decisive, strong, yet even and fair hand. 4. I've been playing long before he likes of Staljers, Carnages, and Rhinos graced the field of battle. I'd say approximately two years. 5. Fluent in English and bad English. 6. No, I refuse on principle to engage in such behaviors and find them distasteful. I feel that such behaviors are decidedly detrimental to the game.

I've been bipartisan about most things concerning War Robots. I prefer to ask questions if something is striking, and tend to share all information I may. 2. Not as a forum mod. 3.Irl I'm a manager in a high volume retail store. If you've never survived a customer service job: working with the general public removes selectivism of the range of people one has to interact with on a day to day basis. While I'm direct and concise from moving quite a bit in my life(and dealing with far more people than anyone would ever want to), rarely do people consider me unfair. 4.Almost a year, just getting back into it after a long snag in irl affairs. 4a. I never consider this question one that the person being asked can answer honestly, as people can't (and sometimes refuse to) know what they don't know (and knowledge is only as useful as it is perceived). Ask Wiki clan and survey my activity, that's the real answer lol. 5. Yep. 6. I suppose dissecting the MM made way for the original "clubber's guide", but the intent was always access to information. Was a 4/6 Thunder Shutze pilot a long time ago, moved far and away from level discrepancies after dissecting the MM. I am a fairly unorthodox player in self-comparison to what others have said and what they prefer -shrug-

I think Boomsplat would do an awesome job if he wants the position. He has lots of knowledge about War Robots (including information that cannot be found on these forums) - and has been playing for around a year. He is also regularly on the test server and keeps up with the latest from Pixonic. He has a talent for handling matters diplomatically and civilly especially in situations where he strongly disagrees and getting along with others especially in situations filled with drama and outright animosity. He would certainly be an even-handed and even-tempered choice. BoomSplat also seems to be willing to do a lot of work and figure out complex problems skillfully and without remuneration. He has been active on both this forum and it's precursor. He played in a high ranking silver clan and has moved to gold tier competition - giving him an understanding of both sides of some of the most controversial issues on the forum.

The question isn't their affiliation, it's whether or not they make an effective moderator. Well, I would just ask that you take a "clubber's" and/or "tanker's" perspective into consideration, before making a decision. Because I believe such considerations would make an impact, whether one were consciously aware of it or not...

Are you knowledgeable? I get decent grades, if that's what you mean. Funnily enough, I'm not to good at the game, but I generally know what I'm doing when it comes to bot setups and what not.
