Will there ever be anything secure on the internet? I already can't remember the 50 or so passwords I have already. Your password must contain: One number, 3 capitals, must be at least 8 characters long and changes every 6 weeks... Oh and you cant use a previous password in part or in whole.. And that's just for my Safeway points card...

From an IT perspective, don't ever assume that anything is secure on the internet. Unless it has been shutdown, ground up, melted, encased in concrete and launched into the sun.

I break my passwords up into categories. Places like this get a specific password. Sites that involve services or that are directly connected to day to day living get another. Anything that touches funds, credit cards gets a big complex password. I don't save passwords in my browser because from a security perspective that's insane. Even though I have the stuff here at the house locked down tight (selinux and firewalld) I still review my logs at least once a week. Most people never see or are even aware of most of the crap that happens out there.

wikia.com appears to be unaffected by this.
