So I've changed tactics. Now days, if the situation lends itself, I hunt campers; those babies that hang out in the back of the battlefield and launch their long-range weapons without ever having to risk anything. What I've noticed, is when I get back there, they crap their pants and can't hit me, so they run. It's satisfying, even if I have to sacrifice a robot to do it. And what I've noticed, is my team usually wins when I do this. Not always, but frequently. I think it's because I'm taking these wimps out with their long-range rockets and their girly-man lazers, but also because many times I'm attacking a spawning area. This disrupts their push. Lazy/chickens in the back, and their comrads that spawn, have to deal with me instead of launching rockets/lazers from 1000+ meters at my team-mates, and it usually draws some of the stronger bots away from my team-members' knife fights so we can cap a beacon (I play Dom).
I got fed up with busting my 「bum-bum」 fighting stonger bots, and about to kill, just to be taken out by some pansy sitting back drinking tea and never having to fight (other than raining crap on me and my dudes/dudettes). Since I've been doing this, I've noticed other blues coming with me. If these babies have an energy weapon or long-range rockets, and they don't get in the fight, they will be targeted and will die, and most times lose the match. I like to think that it's a head's up to these people that they aren't as safe as they think they are. Nothing gives me more fullfillment.
Different rant, what's up with Stalkers? I thought their stealth ability was only supposed to take them off our targeting radar. I use kinetic weapons because I can't afford energy weapons (and it will be months before I can build one in the "workshop"). I can be 50 meters from these annoying little fleas and my bullets pass right through them. 「whiskey tango foxtrot」? It's supposed to be anti-radar, not bullet-proof..

You need to get to a lower elevation to hit them. They are cheap short like using oddball in Golden Eye.

The problem with this strategy is .... you might have turned the Reds inside out but you did little damage while doing it... You could be instrumental in the win but won't be rewarded for it ... I like your thinking and I do it myself - it is a 'team win' mentality
I have a Strider (ancile /Gust) and my favourite kills are the fatboys at the back ... triple Zeus Fury/Quad trebuchet Butch anything with Hydra (hilarious!)... your timing has to be spot on with this as it doesn't have stealth like the stalker ... but now I have a Pursuer! ... just needs a little leveling

The Pursuer is ideal for it. And you're right, it usually draws a few of their more effective players back and away from their push. As for Stalkers, if you're too close while they're stealthed, you could be shooting around them. Remember, with kinetic weapons the spread is tighter the closer you get to the target. Since you don't have a target to lock on, the weapons will fire straight in the direction you're aiming towards. Assuming you've got guns on your left and right, if you're aiming straight ahead, most of your fire will go to the right and left of the target. If you have a high centered weapon slot, it will likely go over the Stalker's head. One benefit of the small box of the Stalker over the taller Pursuer.

That explains it. My brawler is a Leo with Punishers left and right and an Avenger up top. I guess the Stalkers are obviously inside this triangle by the time I start shooting. I wish I knew what that perfect distance is, I guess it will literally be hit-and-miss until I figure it out, haha.

I think, especially since you are in a Leo, that it is more the elevation than the distance. Your weapons just sit too high. For example... a Fujin's side weapons are low enough to hit them while stealthed... so is Gary's light weapon iirc.
Your options are to either
A.) get to a location that puts your weapons on the same elevation as the Stalker
or
B.) find some red behind the stalker to lock on to that makes your weapons aim through the stalker... thereby forcing the guns to aim in a way that lowers their shooting angle.

'B' is pure genius. I use a Vityaz to hunt campers and recapture beacons, I wonder if he's too tall... Those guys are always moving but I'm gonna keep an eye open for this opportunity. Thanks.

We need free aim in this game, especially with all the damn stealth bots proliferating in the game now. I get so pissed off at having some Ork/Spec that I'm on the verge of toasting go black on me and completely wreck my pristine Leo or Ancilot because I can no longer even manually aim at the little 「dookie」. Everytime they do this I'm suddenly aiming high or low because my 「fluffernutter」ing lock has switched to some other enemy bot.
