War robots has always been fun even when the ancilot was nearly unkillable. But now I am getting 1 shot killed by griffins rocking shiny mk2 vortex and aphids. Are we at the point now where weapon combos are so insane with power creep that a friggin griffin can annihilate bots in a second? And where's the fun in that? The amount of times an inquisitor has jumped out and wasted my ancilot in 2 seconds without me even being able to fire back is ridiculous. That's not skill; that's having wacko bots and weapons. I finally just got an inquisitor myself, soon to be made obsolete by some secret quad heavy jumping dashing shielded healing bot that is the only bot that can target stealth bots. Of course the "top" squads will all have them maxed mk2 in 24 hours haha funny because a raijin takes 3 days to level to 9  or 700 gold of course. I like matches that time out. I like matches where you aren't sure you can win it with 2v2 left and sparks flying. But if you just have to be the one with the 1 shot kill setup and be within range to win? How is that fun? And that poor raijin needs some love man. takes 3 seconds to get out of bastion mode. It (like many others) needs a new skill or we should just outright retire the legacy bots and replace them with the god level new bots all around. Be nice to live past 1 volley of literally anything! |

Yes we have sparks a lot, but not Sparks  I think bronzeknee and Gilded Wolf can tell even more about this. I like matches that time out. I like matches where you aren't sure you can win it with 2v2 left and sparks flying 6-pack league is definitely what you want, if this is the experience you're looking for, and you can handle not running the "latest and greatest" bots and weapons. I've had more battles like this in 6PL than I've had in the main game for a LOOONG time. In fact, battles like this are quite common in 6PL. |

Well... there is reason for it. We are "an instant generation". We want to kill here, now, immediately. So Pixonic delivers this with brand new weapons. I posted in a separate thread that weapons development is not countered by any defense development. There is no "better sword --> better shield" balance in this game. So in few years we will drop our bot, unload all rockets, kill enemy then get killed by new robot dropped. No time to reload, cover or think about tactics. In April I posted suggestion of introducing light/medium/heavy ECUs and medium Ancile. Most of players voted "NO" war-robots-forum.freeforums.net/thread/22761/new-shields-game PS. In case you would mention dash and stealth abilities - I think they are more offensive than defensive. |

Months ago, before 4.0, I was able to run on FFA with 95% success rate. Now, FFA is mainly dead, Amazon, and random sucks like it has always sucked.
I have learned, PIX wont ever listen. You have to either deal with the few battles that are fun within the multitude of battles that you die before the match is 2 minutes old, or uninstall.

but point still stands. skill is no longer required. Just have to be the once who stays in stealth longer... |

Really glad the first component bot I built was a drag-fury
No matter what meta I find myself in, I'll never get tired of sneezing (shooting) reds from 600 meters.
The brawling meta seems to progress much more quickly than the range meta. New brawling bots and weapons come in like new toys in an assembly line. But ranged weapons seem to have a much longer life cycle. Even the fury zues is still somewhat decent for close to high leagues

The new root weapons have already rendered the sphincter obsolete. Has anybody seen yet how the shielded brit bots hold up against them?

no chance
even without the x2 multiplier from ballistic shotguns, the energy shotguns ?grape? the galahad at close range unless the galahad is using some kinda of shotgun setup as well and he's able to target you (considering you're not in a specter or pursuer)
Lancelot does hold up a little better as it's shields are actually useful now and it has more HP. The spread from the energy shotguns help the lancelot tank more damage except from anything below 50 as the spread is small enough to fit in the little shield gap once the middle shield is destroyed

Inquis is nowhere near obsolete, if you use it for what it does best, capping contested beacons, only the pursuer is in the same class. Sure it's not as strong as it was... but obsolete is a bit too strong. |

Because there is no LPQ for PIXONIC to take away your rewards or cause you to wait for hell to freeze over while you wait for a match to start. See a game mode you do not want to play? Just dump and jump to the next match until you find the mode that you do want to play. One of the biggest issues now is, if you use boosts, spending time waiting for FFA is burning the clock on the boosts. I like the resource boosts the mostest. I was totally against all boosts when I uninstalled. I thought they would cause a major shift in MK2 battles. I still think that. I guess I play the modes I am not totally thrilled with, koth and tdm, because it is worth silver. I tell you this: I will never buy gold or Keys or components/weapons/bots ever again.... I totally refuse to spend any money on this game. acquiring anything now is a total waste. upgrade cost and time are insane. The normal/old economy was hard enough with 33M to upgrade to L12 on some bots takes some time to earn. I can not imagine the frustration with this new economy. 59 days to upgrade 1 bot??? not in this lifetime. |

I think I've used boosts maybe half a dozen times. I now have over 90 of some of them. I just don't even think of them when I start playing because I play a match here and there during the day. Might be one match, might be 10 the next. And I have a hard time not utilizing every single second of those boosters due to a slight mental issue. lol

Yeah boosts are ridiculous. I played a game where I got hit with ONE blast from a heicheat taran and lost HALF my health. One, freakin, blast. I had never seen that before.
But yeah, the last couple of weeks if my ancilot lives more than 30 seconds it's a win.
Rare a battle goes longer than 2-3 minutes anymore it seems.
