I have a DB Spectre. Play FFA almost exclusively.
Like the idea of a Raven DB or Spark/Scourge (although I would need to grind for Sparks).
Or get another Spectre and load with four existing Tulumbas?
Anyone rate the Spectre RDB?

The RDB Spectre is a great bot for FFA. Drop it towards the end of the match when there are only a few other players and it does really well. Four Tulumbas can significantly damage any non ancile bot and out right kill some at 500m.
It does better on larger maps, but still holds it own on smaller ones. A great counter to all the Shocktrains in the current game. It's a staple in my hangar and the only range I run.

I don't have a lot of meta gear but finally ground (grinded??) out the spectre and threw on the Tulu's. I am in awe of how powerful that thing is. I rarely use stealth to attack, it's more for escape. It easily outperforms all my other bots in damage. I just lurk back and selectively aim. Sometimes I do jump, not for stealth but to get a height advantage. Lvl's are only 8/88,99 but I'm gonna get the other two tulu's to 9 next.
To me, even though Orkans have so much more power, I will generally have to position upclose to the battle and therefore am much more vulnerable to damage. Staying back allows me to unleash the power of 4 mediums in relative safety. A poor man's shocktrain without the boredom.

Gotta say, an RDB raven appeals to me a lot. Still on the long road to acquiring one though. Two jumps and 500m range can threaten a lot of positions and may just turn the tide of battle when used properly. The second jump also allows for a "fight another day scenario".
I run an rdb spectre and stealth just makes it harder to hit..not impossible. Ive also taken down a lot of spectres in stealth with storms, gusts and firing rockets nearby. Point is, being away from danger is more survivable than being near danger with stealth on...mileage may vary.

My RDB Spec is only level 8 but wears some Mk2 tulus ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) . Don’t have time: ag to level the spec up. So use it carefully in high Masters League:lowCL as counter against the lots of shock specs. Works fine ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Dmg is ok , tactical effect of splash is more important keeps them in distance and obviously that causes the increase of seeing this build more often now.

The nice thing about Tulu’s and Pins is the low(er) upgrade costs...I have some old ones lying around at lvl 9 already

Love my tulumbus spectre. Usually drop it first to support my beacon capping blues. Fast enough to get where I need to go. Strong enough to do some massive damage to reds distracted by blues right in front of them. Then agile enough to evade most enemy fire.

Scourge Spectre is fun towards the end too....drop and pick them off with a little health left especially from 400-500m

All combine to make it useful in more situations.Theres a reason its run in the top hangars. Besides you dont run into too many players that know how to exploit its weaknesses in gold or early diamond.
