![](https://i.imgur.com/hezf1li.jpg) There is way too much negativity in this forum, bubbling over from what I feel belongs here in the rant section. I think some people like to complain on the forums more than they play the game, and they don't realize the toxicity they are creating, which only makes the experience for everyone (including themselves) worse. I too have been guilty of this, and I don't like what Pixonic has done to the game either. I caught myself logging in and walking away feeling tense, frustrated, even a little angry at times. I had to ask myself if this game was really worth it. After all, this is supposed to be fun, right? Once I stepped back I realized that in fact I still enjoy playing War Robots! I also came to the conclusion that making it to end game, for me, wasn't important. Especially after I read about the Six Pack League, and figured out how to stay in the lower leagues without exploiting the system. I have yet to play in the 6PL, but have an alt account ready for it. I can't tell you how many times I have deleted the data from the War Robots app, just to start from zero and wipe it when I hit lvl 20. Just for fun. I have also kept my main and alt account leveled around 6/7, which has allowed me to hover in low/mid gold. I have waited about 6 months to get my 5th slot as to keep my damage average lower, so as not to progress too fast. Now that I have started acquiring a few of the component items, and am a better player, I can move up. I have that 5th slot. I don't care how long it takes, or how overpriced upgrades have become, etc . . . Because I can adapt, and still enjoy it. Yes, there are times when the mm, the faders, the whales, etc. . . make things unbearable. So, I log off and do something else. Maybe come back later, or I just wade through it and take my beating for a few rounds knowing soon I will be crushing noobs 3 leagues lower lol. That's the matchmaker for you, eh? The ideas of creating petitions, mobs, not clicking ads, tanking to scare away new players, all of that is nonsense and a waste of our time if you ask me. Let's face it, the only way to thumb your nose at Pixonic is to uninstall the game and boycot their products. But you're here, reading this post and you probably have the game installed. I guess my point is this: Ask yourselves, "Are you having fun?". If the answer is no, then ask yourselves, "What am I doing here?". Try to be vigilant of your toxicity, and refrain from staining every post with a negative slant. If you must express your frustration, then use this Rant section, it's here for a reson. If you aren't enjoying the game try and find another way to rekindle the romance. I know staying in lower leagues isn't going to appease everyone. It was just my way of coping. (FYI this post is just as much a reminder for myself as it is to others.) Perhaps Six Pack League is for you. You can have a competent hangar ready in a month or two. After all is said and done, if you simply aren't able to relax and enjoy the game, perhaps it's time for a break - even a short one helps. o7

Currently been going all out for the win in Koth. Good way to lose point and keep from going too high in leagues. Sometimes get a win depending on blues ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) Also working on a six pack hangar.

Good post Zero. Glad you found your Zen place. Would definitely improve the air around here if the negativity were a bit less. It's not an easy answer to your question for some though. I see a lot of seasoned players who loved a game that to them no longer exists but still sorta does and that's frustrating. Others, like me, are drawn to the intense satisfaction that a quality match brings but are frustrated by all of the deliberate obstacles intentionally designed or condoned by pix.
While the game has soured a lot of us for a variety of reasons we figure it's not yet time to throw in the towel given the investment of time and money so we hold out hope and the forum can be a relief valve to commiserate with others feeling that frustration. Yes it can be a little toxic but life is the same. It can also be really funny, informative, and friendly. So is War Robots fun? At the moment for me, not so much. But that will change and then change again. But it's always fun whining about those greedy bashtards at pix. And whales of course. And shocktrains. And koh/tdm. And anyone who says this game is still fun, hahaha.

Am I having fun? sometimes.. I feel like the ship is sinking but I stick around.. I wanna see the cool part where the ship raises out of the water and breaks in half.
I can tell you this.. I wouldn't be starting this game new.. and If anyone asks me about the game I'll wave them off.

While the game has soured a lot of us for a variety of reasons we figure it's not yet time to throw in the towel given the investment of time and money so we hold out hope and the forum can be a relief valve to commiserate with others feeling that frustration. I understand that point, and started playing this game before leagues. My current accounts are new, because I stopped and came back. I don't want to invalidate people's experience, nor am I saying they shouldn't be able to vent. In fact, I have even taken such liberties myself. However, I just feel we could better relegate these feelings to the rants section, which is a more constructive outlet for dealing with said feelings. I guess I am just a bit tired of seeing a "pixonic sux, the system sux, eff the man!" in every other comment, even when the post had nothing to do with the game's issues. It's toxic behavior, and doesn't serve anyone. Most of us already know "the state of the union" as it were, but we're still here. But, I digress. Because at the end of the day, this thread is just a rant. I am sure it won't have much of an impact on people's comments, which is fine at the end of the day. I ain't gonna lose sleep over a game. . . left Eve Online after over a decade. It's just my take.

I can't promise to I won't piss and moan in threads made for pissing and moaning, and I can't say im gonna swallow happy pills and talk nice about a crappy situation.. However I'll try to refrain from commenting negatively in threads about the overall deuce of a situation. Best I can do till the situation improves.

If my memory serves me right it was here in this forum that I read about the idea of BR and TDM before it even became a game mode. Seemed liked a good idea then until Pixo rolled it out. I would not be surprised if the developer get some if not most of their ideas here, from our creative minds. But I'm not complaining.

I have stayed away from just about every social media outlet or public chat forum for quite some time due to this exact thing. I only just recently joined this forum due to the wealth of knowledge that the long-time players have, especially those that do a detailed write-ups on a bot with strategies for different weapons & playing styles. I have been lurking for some time though and have learned a bit, but have also seen this exact thing, i.e. someone creates a thread on why they enjoy KotH, then immediately 5-10 members post "KotH sux, is garbage, is for kitties, etc..." It does weigh down on you after a while, the constant "bash, bash, bash".
I do understand most people's frustration with the new economy's upgrade prices and timeframes, as well as other issues going back further, like the definition of the word "random". I also feel that venting can be cathartic, but have seen where there is a fine line between cathartic and toxic. I will say that the moderators on here seem to pay more attention to that kind of behavior and do a better job of nipping it in the bud quick. So thank you, Moderators.
So to answer the question "[Am I] having fun yet?" I used to, and still do occasionally, but for the most part grinding enough silver for a round of upgrades then waiting for a month to see the fruits of your labor seems more like a chore these days than it used to. So I just put the tablet down until it's time to collect my daily tasks and supply drops, then start the cycle all over again.

I've already toned down a lot and try to only piss all over them when relevant. If I stray into wanton overkill in my belittling of their ability to see what they are doing to something that is right in front of them, I apologize to any that take offense or see it as too much.
That said... I still have decent games too, when I get a mode I actually want to play. Had Dom 3 games in a row last night... and they were mostly good matches until I got a team of Blues that couldn't push even if someone was pushing them... but I digress.
Good post and prolly we who are critical need to remind ourselves that this is a forum that is based on the WIKIA and is meant to be a help to new players... regardless of the state of the game. Rants should definitely be the only place we unload on them... not a post about "which build is better..." or "should I get the third hangar?", etc.
IMO, YMMV

i have fun playing the game. but its not fun bleeding my wallet dry just to keep in touch let alone reach champs league etc. I have floated up and down G3 and D1 for months - rarely score more than a million damage etc. I'm happy with that level of play as i like to change my robots a lot hence never really focus on levelling up to high power kit..im mostly at L9 with robots and weapons..average. But the new stuff is so expensive. and of course the new econ upgrade times are mad. truly mad. soooo nothing new to report.

Here is my problem,I have fun build my hangars then they change the crap again. adjust and have fun then they take a dump on us again. They do not fix things in a timely fashion but do place new content to milk players. They don't ban cheaters, tankers and hacks at least for more than a few days but will place you in LPQ for not playing their forced maps and modes...... All this for money not for Game Play improvements.
Wash rinse repeat its gotten old.
I still try to find a way to have fun it is just getting harder and harder and more work than a "Game" should be IMO.
They are still A-holes and clowns in my book and have a long way to go before I think anything differently.

I've been playing my latest smurf account very casually. There are some days I don't even go into a battle, just farm crates and WP, and see if there's anything in offers worth dumping WP's on. Most days I don't play more than 2 or 3 games, when I play at all. I have 5 uncompleted daily tasks right now. I still hate random mode, still hate TDM, could take or leave KotH. Still playing just a 2-slot hangar, and I don't care what anybody thinks about that. If I feel like playing, I'll fire up a few battles; if I don't, I won't. My regular in slot 1 is a 7/7 gust Stalker because it's hella fun; slot 2 is usually a plasmahad, but that gets switched out depending on if I feel like completing a task that needs a heavy or light bot. As a result, I'm still just at level 27 and silver 3 league, and quite content to stay right there.
Bottom line, I am no longer a slave to this (or any other) game as I was for the first year I played it. It just isn't enough fun any more for that.

For the record...I'm having fun! I know I've said I won't spend any more money on this game, but lets face it, I don't have that self control. As long as I'm comfortable with what I spend, I'm good.
As for complaining...the way I see it, it's therapeutic. Like, if I have a bad day, I'll come here and post about it, and share my experiences and in the end, it helps me feel better. I too agree that many of the things here about petitions and such won't do much. I'm of the opinion that if you want something to change, the best way is the rating system on Google Play. Write a review there that warns new players about the P2W aspects of the game. Give the game 1 star to lower the average rating. If that rating goes down far enough, Pixonic will probably take notice and hopefully start reading the reviews and maybe just maybe do something about it.
The game is still fun for the most part. I like playing the builds I've made and I like playing to their strengths. I still get tons of pleasure at a successful ambush, and I get even more when I tempt a red into an ambush.
Like everyone else, I do have my ups and downs. When the downs get too much, that's my signal to put the game down for a couple of days.

Loganspawn Totally get it mate. I don't think we like being negative. (As stated before, I've been around too!) I just think we ( me included) tend to fall into a trap. We choose when and where to express those things, and it's up to the individual weather or not they choose to displace their frustrations onto others . . . who have zero control over the matter, rather than directing it in a more constructive fashion. Again, to re-reiterate, to each their own. No one is wrong at the end of the day.

I think the gist of what he is saying is that when a thread is something like, "Should I get my 5th slot or a pair of Orks first?" you can guarantee that several replies will consist of "Well since everything is 5x longer to upgrade, just uninstall!" or "Pix has got their head so far up their 「bum-bum hole」 that they can see out of their throat! Just run buy a Specter!" Both examples don't help the user at all... and filling up threads that have a specific purpose or question with the same "RAAAAHHHGGGG F.O.A.D. fail.fu!" replies over and over again gets tedious and seems pretty toxic. That said... I get it. I do it a lot too. Not to the extreme... but I typically add something to a reply like "but with the new 「dookie」 economy..." to a post that doesn't need it to answer the OP. Ain't nobody wrong for doing so, it's just leaving a film of toxicity on top of the forum since it is literally everywhere. Is it possible to remove that completely? Hell no, not as long as Pix is just a sock puppet entity for fail.fu's shenanigans. But it is possible for those of us who care about the forum to remember what it's here to accomplish: Not just venting and therapy, but actual help for noobs and higher level discussions about tactics and strategies and a dumping ground for good info about stats and weapons and gear of all kinds, etc. I think the thread is meant to be more of a "look in the mirror and make sure you like what you see," thread, in regards to the way the forum comes across to new or casual members, and not a "for shame Loganspawn ! You should keep your discontent to yourself and let us live in ignorant blissful contentment!" type of reproach. But, that is just how I read it... I could be off. IMO, YMMV

After all is said and done, if you simply aren't able to relax and enjoy the game, perhaps it's time for a break - even a short one helps. o7 Why the 「fluffernutter」 would you want to permanently stay in a 「fluffernutter」ing noob league?

If you’re living a civil life, take note there’s actually people all around you that bubble with bitterness and discontent and the internet is a convenient place to dump that energy. Once I perused Pix’s FB comments, marveling at all the spite. Started clicking though to the profiles of the nastier comments to try and get a sense of who these people are. Most were private or didn’t show anything personal but some were revealing and confounding. Like one super caustic commenter turned out to be a father with a warm and beautiful family, gave to charity, member of a church, and an image of him unveiling a banner that said something like ‘Friendship Is Caring’.
My gut though is most of the vitriol comes from young males because I remember the angst and judgmental opinions I held in my late teens which has drastically mellowed since and is a common arc, or so I’m led to believe by some psychology graphs I saw once. For persons with a biological drive to espouse hate their behavior won’t change until their biology does. For the others they’re unlikely to truly question their behavior unless it’s coming from real life. Still, your post may trigger an awareness and some compartmentalized malcontents will realize the pointlessness of their state.

I agree with much of what you say. And I understand your frustration. I just ask, do we need to spread the vitriol, or can we keep it civil and relegate our frustration in the form a post, or adding to a post, in the Rants? Again, not here to invalidate anyone's frustration, and so far most of you are people I see around, and enjoy/respect what you're about. I don't get what you are saying. Do want us to lie and tell you its all great? Of course rants need to be in the rants but general negativity concerning PIGSONIC will remain unless they change their ways. Many of us have played for years and been screwed over a number of times do not expect us to believe anything they say or to hope for the best. Have a great day Sir. I think the biggest news after and in between updates is how Pix has screwed us again. They are screwing us becuse they are constantly devaluing our investment in the game and providing a game play that is less and less balanced. they are deliberately doing this to increase their profit. It’s a scam and the more a scam is exposed the better I reckon. What Pix has been doing is unethical and should be legislated against.

Go on the forums of any popular video game. World of Warcraft. League of Legends. Fortnite. I promise you'll find far more toxic environments.
This place is seriously relaxed when you compare it to League of Legends communities... For real. Most toxic community you'll ever find on the internet.

Because moving up into anything higher opens up a wide, wide world of suck? What, don’t you enjoy a challenge? You can still have a challenge in lower leagues... like I've found in Expert: Cap your weapons at 9 and it's plenty challenging. Plus, you get a variety of opponents and it's much easier to achieve a 9/9 hangar than a 14/14.
I hope it's understood by those that feel a league standing is some sort of pedestal to look down from that some folks actually play this game casually. Real Life can get in the way of hours of grinding a day.
IMO, YMMV
