So, I have to call this player out, and really I wish I had a screen recorder running to show the absurdity of this players actions...
Pilot ID: 9Z2P4I on Android;
So I'm in my Mercury on Carrier map, underneath cover, walked up the ramp half way, I see too heavy of fire and decide to retreat for a better moment to pounce...
Player Ribbit-Whatever, in his Bulgasari, literally starts coming up the ramp as I come down, plenty of room for us both to pass each other, yet he plows straight into me, and marches up the ramp using me as a sheild...
He was so forcefully driving me up the ramp into harms way, where I got smashed on by at least 3, if not 4 of the Reds, even when I tried to jump away, we were like stuck together and I took all of the splash damage that was fired at him...
We somehow both Retreat back Undercover and my body is smoking while he dashes to the other side to keep fighting...
I just want to put this out of here because I feel like I've run into this a lot, people so selfish to get the shot that they'll push their in teammate into Harm's Way... Best part, he never spawns back in either, so 1 minute into the match and he's already gone, leaving ALL 4 of the remaining bots unused, again leaving us all to suffer their terrible decision making even further... this is a Master League player.
I don't have any hateful words or name calling interest, but I did wish to publicly call this player out, in the hopes that the shame of his/her peers and clan mates may turn this selfish and wreckless player into a better teammate for everyone...
Not to mention this nonsense is coming from A SUPPOSED Master League player...
I hope you're a better person in real life than your actions show you too be in this game Player ribbit45 9Z2P4I.... Clan Name : Gold Thieves

Only way to avoid people like that is to not play. Or squad exclusively with people you know.
I wasn't even gonna comment, but you look like me without an 's' ?

Thank you I appreciate the response. I tried to appropriately thread it in "rants", however being new to the game, I really was sincerely curious at what level would this possibly disappear, but it seems you're saying it doesn't matter how high I'm going, unless I play exclusively with my squad this is just going to be a part of the game which is disappointing... Thanks Paps!

Ummmm. He was trying to get enough minimal damage scored to not get negative silver in his tanking session
Simple enough. When you’re not in a squad with comms there is no way to tell what each individuals mission is. To assume they’re there for a win and team victory is absurd. Some just need a couple beacons. Couple are tanking. Someone needs 2 kills to complete a task. The other person is just going AFK to get a video. Etc.

It's literally malicious, selfish and thoughtless, I'd hope they have any forward thinking, they'd realize there jading the very people there relying on in order to even experience the game itself... Eventually this will surely lead to mass-abandonment of the game entirely. I really love this game and really wish to enjoy it, hoping my "rant" had even a minor impact towards greater battle experiences. It was wisely said: The fastest way to get what you want, is by helping others get what they want". Less selfishness will ultimately lead to more for everyone... More gold, more weapons more fun!! African Proverb: If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together. You can not go far alone!

Pap, your idea of shaming someone who exhibits this behavior would be fruitless by definition. If they don't care about anyone but themselves then they would feel nothing. This is endemic in our world right now, not just in the game. Not to get on a soapbox, but you see it driving in traffic, shopping, in business, religions, relationships, and sadly, even the way some parents treat their children, perpetuating the cycle. It's a contagion and spreading.
The good news is that we can recognize it, feel pity, try to recognize it in ourselves, and finally, to set an example however small and seemingly trivial, hoping to spread some positive light in a dark world. Whether in a silly game or out in real life.
And if that doesn't help I always just throw stuff at the wall.

Also, the demographics vary wildly. You should not expect teamwork or even passive cooperation on a randomly assigned team. Heck, you may have a 5 year old girl on year team playing on her uncle's phone who likes to see the pretty colors from a vortex salvo...and I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

I'm guilty of sometimes pushing a teammate retreating from a beacon towards the beacon as I move to take it. After I suicide a few bots trying to capture center and catch some blue running away from center then I'm going to take them along with me. I've got no patience for blues acting like cowards in full retreat in a beacon mode. Blues retreating from a single red on a white beacon on BR really gets me frustrated. I don't know what that Bulg pilot was doing but he may have not been happy that you were going the wrong way and decided to take you along with him although moving up and down the ramps on Carrier is normal.

Listen I completely agree with your position and I also have no patience for people running away from a beacon just to keep their bot alive... Sacrifice is the foundation of rewards... Bear in mind this particular example was not my retreat, it was a 10 meter regrouping, during the first minute of the match, and the guy left the match directly after his bot was destroyed... I'm a brawler style fighter, and I was in a Mercury, I had every intention of pouncing right into the center of that Center Beacon, I saw one red was close and two more or a bit behind him, the reason I fell back 10 meters or at least attempted to, was because I didn't want to pounce on one guy and then the other two smoke me... I wanted to pounce on all three, there by dealing damage to all of their bots and all of their Shields with the Mercury... Instead This dude in the bulgasari veered right to purposely thrust me with his Dash back up the ramp using me as a shield, at which point I hit my stealth jump to jump into the battle and I was stuck to him because he was dashing against me, there was so much Orkan Fire coming in that the splash damage wipe me out but left him living... Point being if he would have went around me I would have, milliseconds later, been jumping over him onto all three of those enemies and he and I BOTH would have gotten kills instead of being killed...

Anyone who truly values, employs and leverages teamwork that'd like to squad, please invite me anytime, my Android ID: JG95JA I am bouncing from Expert 1 and 3 currently depending on setup and so on... Was in 1 but fell to 3 with some new, yet under-upgraded weaponry...

Yeah that really grinds my gears also. That's as bad as when people block your way back into cover. Several times I've dashed out unloaded my Salvo went to dash back in cover and some other a******has walked up next to me and blocked my way to get back under cover. It's really frustrating when it happens when you're defending a beacon.

Well I was gonna say Expert.. but damn you're in expert lol.
Im in D1 atm, getting matched up with Experts regularly.. I don't play many team games but when I do seems like about 50% of the time theres at least rudimentary team work going on.
I know 50% don't seem like a lot but it's a huge improvement over about 10% in diamond and 5% in gold, below that you might mistaken the teams for a friendly game of tug of war.
