I haven't seen anyone do this yet, but I was reading some more rants on the new upgrade cost/time and I wondered how much it would cost in $$ to actually get a bot up to level 12. So I dug around and here's what I got for the Strider and Thermite, two components I recently got and have begun trying to upgrade: This is ACTUAL cost at full retail. No deals, discounts, etc. just buying the $100/14000 Au deal and max silver for gold trades. Like FB/Steam would have to pay.
(I'm going off old charts about gold upgrade costs... they may not be actual though I think they're close. Also threw in a pre-4.0 strider for comparison)
So even if pix is offering bots for less, they're making it up in the end. Either by true cash deals, or hooking people into grinding even that much harder to upgrade.

Nice graphs
A 7-day upgrade costs 1,000 (or 999) Au, correct.
A 8-day upgrade costs 1,216 (or 1,215) Au, instead of the old economy value, 1,108 (or 1,107) Au.
Likewise, a 9 day upgrade would cost 1,428 Au - the per-day costs doubled in the new economy after 7 days,

wonder what the cost is including Ads to rush upgrade times since most will probably use ads this way after N.E.(new econ)
i still haven't use ads for quite awhile.

Is there any mechanism for uploading an Excel file? I have a spreadsheet set up where you enter your current hangar (bots and levels, weapons and levels, whether each bot/weapon is old economy or new) and where you want the hangar to end up (level of each bot and weapon). It calculates an upgrade cost (silver and time) for each item. You can indicate that you want to speed up any upgrade that takes longer than X hours and it will calculate the new upgrade times as well as how much Au you need to spend to do it. Au spend captures latest and greatest from Pix with different rates for different upgrade times. Green boxes are entered by user.

Easiest way would to do a google sheet. Lock the formula areas, leave user inputs unlocked, then share the link. Sounds amazing, or depressing depending how you look at it.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Price_discriminationPixonic has several levels. 1: if you want to be first, you pay to be first. through the black market. 2: if you dont like random, pay the asking price. 3: if you feel thats a stupid waste of money, you can BARGAIN with them and wait for them to lower the price 4: if you feel the bargain priceis still too high, you can buy component deals(whether thru in free in game currency or paid for in game currency) and get the lowest possible price in the near to mid term. 5: if none of that is acceptable, you can avail it when its sticker price has been permanently reduced... IE the DOC, JESSE, and even the THUNDER (used to be gold if memory serves) I dont really see how this is a bad thing. pixonic always offers stuff up for discount. my problem with pixonic stems not from their pricing system, which in my eyes is bloody genius, but from the moronic design of their robots. I mean, seriously, your ultimate robot, the spectre, has a special ability which is "abuse game mechanics by removing auto targeting of your bot and letting it jump,in a game where there is no such thing as vertical manual targeting' Really the new pricing system is just saying : 'if you want to have a level 12 entitlement bot and play in champion league', you need to pay us. there is nothing stopping you from grinding this bot to level 8 and enjoying it all the way up to expert or even masters. I got into champion with level 10 NON DASH mechs.

I have the same thing in a google sheet, but I didn't have time to do data entry. There is about 1000 bot and levels and 1000 weapons and levels. Just time and ag, you are looking at 3-4 columns.

Let's take spectre as an example. The most optimal gold speedup is 7days=1k gold. So actually you need 7k gold ($30)+ 15 days waiting to upgrade Spectre to level 12. The real problem is silver needed to upgrade. I got 1 Bulg, 1 Spectre,1 Mercury after 4.0. That alone is 500m silvers and I can't afford any new component weapons too. All my weapons are grandfathered tulumbas, orkans, or tarans. 1.0.0.19 1.0.0.19

I think pixonics original intent was “some spectres , followed by some other bots” In game. However due to the insane power differential, it became “worthwhile to just simply run all

@happyfunball Can you share it through google sheet, as ranchpig suggested above? Something similar to this: war-robots-forum.freeforums.net/post/156378/threadSince krebby ’s krebchart has been still incomplete, this would be helpful to people. If it’s too bothersome, perhaps just share the excel file with us through a DropBox link or something similar? I would greatly appreciate,

Let's take spectre as an example. The most optimal gold speedup is 7days=1k gold. For sure. But... if you look at that graph, The most expensive upgrade relative to the rest is lvl 8 to 9. Look how it just skyrockets after 7 and that doesn't include inspirace 's adjustment cost which makes it even steeper. Sneaky pix. They know lvl 9 is where a lot of us will stop and now it costs even more.

personally I would rather work harder to get gear and go through an "easier" upgrade process than what Pix is doing. Remove your head from your anal cavity because you will kill off new players.

Ok. I created a DropBox link for the Excel file: <link removed pending update later tonight>
Comments:
a) THere is an "Instructions" tab providing general information on how to manipulate the "Hangar Upgrade" tab. b) On the Hangar tab, use the drop down menus to select bots and weapons, whether each follows the new economy or the old economy, what the current levels are including Mark 1/2, and the desired final level. Be aware that there is data verification in the green cells. You can also type stuff in instead of using the drop downs but case matters right now for matching the bot/weapon with the data tables on the other tabs. c) Only alter the cells highlighted in green. d) Cell I1 on the Hangar tab is where you enter a value if you wish to speed up an upgrade. I have it set at 48 hours right now. That means if an upgrade would normally take 48 hours, the spreadsheet will spend Au for each and every >48 hour upgrade instead. e) The data tables are in the "Old Econ" and "New Econ" tabs. You can add new weapons/bots as time goes on by appending the list. Be sure to use the formats as already provided. f) THe "Menu Names" tab contains the names of each weapon/bot. You will also have to add the new weapons/bots here as well as fill in the data tables mentioned in e) when adding something new.
Known issues: 1) Case sensitive matching of weapons/bots and old/new econ right now. I will fix this later on. 2) Shredder and Pulsar are not added yet. 3) WHen upgrading a weapon that starts off at some level other than 1, there will be an issue when MK2ing it as I don't have some of the upgrade costs/times. For example, an Orkan starts at level 5. When MK2ing it, the cost and time for MK2/L1, MK2/L2, MK2/L3, MK2/L4, and MK2/L5 will be zero since I just don't have the data. 4) Not a known issue per se, but I pulled data from the Wiki and warrobots.net. I think everything was transcribed correctly but I didn't go back and double check all the costs vs. the source data.
Please provide feedback on any errors/improvements you find/can think of. If this can be made robust enough, I'll see if the mods can create a sticky where the file will reside. I'll see about making a GoogleDoc at some point, but I don't know if all the functions will port over.

I think Googledocs have limited functionality compared to xls. I'd say leave it as it is.

@happyfunball
Wow, amazing work putting all that data in and setting it up.
I agree, I don't think it will convert to google.docs as it is, not with my skill level for sure
Can I make a suggestion? Can you use existing data tables and add another sheet for Single Applications?
I don't want to step on your rather good work.
I know it can be done just using a single line and removing all the other inputs, but it would be a cleaner look for single items be it bots or weapons.
Again, thanks. Have you considered making this a phone app? Would be pretty neat.

I'll come out with a new version tonight. I noticed a problem with calculating the new economy stuff (was referencing stuff on the old economy when finding data), will add a single item upgrade in addition to full hangars, add 5 hangars, allow user to fill in Au upgrade numbers should they change, etc.

Since krebby ’s krebchart has been still incomplete, this would be helpful to people. I do feel bad about not finishing the charts for Medium and Heavy Weapons. I just lost the will to continue the more I looked at the new economy numbers. That said, there are a few things that are slightly cheaper in the new economy. To level to Mk1 level 12: - Aphids & Gekkos went from 38,150,000 to 31,700,000 Ag, and from 10 days to 8 days 8 hours;
- Punisher Ts & Molot Ts went from 48,005,000 to 31,970,000 Ag, and from 12 days 21 hours 23 minutes to 8 days 13 hours 35 minutes;
- The Ballista is cheaper, but no one cares;
- The Doc, Rogatka, & Galahad went from 64,350,000 to 63,940,000 Ag, and from 17 days 13 hours 20 minutes to 17 days 3 hours 22 minutes; and
- The Kang Dae, Nashorn, Thunder, & Zenit now take 12 minutes less to upgrade.
For Punisher Ts and Molot Ts, unless your grandfathered ones are level 10 or above, you're better off buying a new one and upgrading it.
For Aphids and Gekkos, you're better off upgrading a new economy one unless your grandfathered ones are level 8 or above.

Here is the update to the spreadsheet: www.dropbox.com/s/0jhfknykd41wvuc/War Robots%20Hangar%20Upgrade%202018-07-25e.xlsx?dl=0 Changes: a) Fixed a bug that made many but not all New Economy #s wrong b) Added a new tab, "Single Item Upgrade," that allows you to do an in-depth analysis on a single item (weapon or bot) per ranchpig's request c) The hanger tab, "Hanger Upgrades," has been extended to have 5 hangars rather than just two d) added Shredder and Pulsar e) Fixed a minor issue with gold costs for speeded upgrades (amount of error was ~10 Au at most) f) Updated instructions g) automated drop down menu so that when a new bot/weapon is added to the New Economy data ("New Econ" tab), it will automatically show up in drop down menus without the user having to place it there h) In regards to g), all weapons and bots are now coming from a single, alphabetized list rather than a separate list for bots and a separate list for weapons to make things easier for me to "code" i) Ensured that the 500 Au enhancement fee for going from MK1 L12 to M2/L1 shows up in the gold cost for upgrades, if applicable j) Set it up so that the Au/hr for speeding up upgrades ("Au Upgrade Data" tab) can be easily changed should Pix mess with this some more Please PM me or post to this thread if you have any additional suggestions or if you find any bugs. I'm going to shoot for creating a sticky early next week assuming the mods are ok with that.

I'll see about adding damage/health in a later version. I think the general formula is that level N+1 is 10% better than level N. Going to MK2 produces a 20% bonus relative to the same level in MK1. Here is the latest version of the spreadsheet. It now includes a new tab so you can compare old econ vs. new for an item. Fixed some bugs (hat tip to ntesla), updated instructions. www.dropbox.com/s/gc42df2tm8h8j7y/War Robots%20Hangar%20Upgrade%202018-07-27b.xlsx?dl=0
