New Task for the event is Destroy 150 robots and get a Raijin, looks like Black Widow skin! The time limit is 5 days.
I've already got one that is a regular in my hangar. Do I need another? Couldn't hurt.

150 kills for a Raijin......bwahahahahahahahahaha. If you can get there at your leisure why not but (imho) I wouldn't bother otherwise.

played 2 matches since Raijin task had 12 kils total for both but....

did not move progress bar 1 bit, both matches were Dom 1st ended with 5kills 4 min, 2nd went on a roll with 7kills little over 8mins.

Its either skirmish or regular... so long as it does not specifically say “skirmish”.
This new event is very junky and sporadic.
But at least I got a fujin. That’s totally fricken. Awesome since I don’t have one.
Hopefully they drop me a rhino too. I need one

I have a Raijin but I'm going to try for this one because of the skin.
I'll have to do 30 kills a day. I apologize in advance if I kill anyone here but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

I blasted away feverishly for approx. 25 games to get the Raijin until 1 am July 5 Hong Kong time to ensure it was grandfathered over. I’ll probably never play it though...but doesn’t hurt!

I started yesterday 18:49 and finished at 00:12 because I wanted Raijin before new economy, at the cost of dropping around 150 rating points mostly due to ignoring beacons in KOTH. First and foremost, an apology to whoever was my teammate yesterday: I usually play for victory but extraordinary circumstances call for extraordinary measures.
Not that my advice is worth anything, but here it goes:
- To get kills is better weapons that fire continuously (Magnums) than weapons that fire staggered (Redeemer), so no teammate shoots get in between and kill.
- Ranged builds are good to steal kills like an illegitimate son (I did with a Gekko/Dragoon, but noticed other guys doing that with Hydras to a higher degree of success than I did)
- Avoid Zeuses and all this timed stuff (or at least complement with Gekkos to get the kill while in cooldown of main weapon).
- Didn't try it because of low level, but Punishers should be really good to get kills too.
- Making matches last long doesn't help you. No need to preserve bots, a 5 minutes battle with 5 kills (trade 1 for 1) is better than a 10 minutes battle with 8 kills.
I can assure that at least 80 of those kills were accounted to a single Gust Pursuer bot: good for sweeping damaged enemies in close range, and can finish damaged dudes up to 500m if needed to. A Stalker with sufficiently high level Gusts should work too. Also is cool because smart enemies get that you are going for kills and let you sweep weak foes as long as you don't attempt to alter the balance of the ongoing fight attempting to damage bots at full health: when this happens is magic because you can get more than 10 kills in a single bot (and possibly lose the battle for your teammates too, so again, my apologies).

Just got my second BW Raijin! Will I ever run two at once? Maybe, but It was a hard slog to get those 150 kills.

I finally finshed up my rajin task, to bad I was a little late.. it's new pricing :/
Not that I had a use for it, but now I REALLY don't have a use for it.
Maybe 6 pack since the lower upgrades Im sure aren't too bad compared to old pricing but I don't really want it for 6 pack either :/
