So much for the event. It seems rigged at the moment. 6 games 1 win 5 losses. I am already willing to stop.

What league and levels?
In my experience Skirmish is easier to win than random or FFA. As long as it’s not TDM, focus on beacons. So many players are in there tooling around and the mid or lower league players who are still clueless about beacon tactics makes it easy to win. Sometimes your damage is low, but good for the win task.

FFA is the easiest to 'win' come third or better out of 6 players. Not sure if 4th is counted as a win. But, with all the tanking going on, coming third out of four people isn't that hard.

I am gold 3 out of skirmish. Are you saying that I should have tanked? I have managed to get 8 wins after hours of crashing disconnects and game play.

No, tanking is for wussies and doesn’t do anything for skirmish anyway. Your league and bot levels indicates your experience level and in a mode that gives everyone the same bots, that becomes the key differciator for winning. Just keep plugging and play to win and you’ll do ok - sounds like that’s already happening.

Has taken me almost 24 hours to get the bot form event so far. Should see some of the trash on my team. My issues wanting to slap the idiots behind my screen is another issue.

Personally I love hearing godlike over and over, so the idiots are ok with me. However in all seriousness, due to the wide array of player base, you need to learn to “lead your team” It’s actually quite good practice. And I on that note, I’ll leave you with my typical game: God I love guilt free seal clubbing.

Never played skirmish until this event started so I'm playing it now to complete a task. Is skirmish in the mix so players can test out new gear they don't have and maybe thinking of getting? If so why do players go Rushing for beacons to win the game in a game where one gets only battle rewards unless I'm missing something? I want to test the bots not win the game. We've lost either BR or KOTH because Reds are capping beacons. We had a at least one player turning red beacons bk to white and walking away leaving it white so the game wouldn't be over so fast. Since I have to play this mode to complete a task I want to test the bots not win the game so stop rushing the beacons and just fight it out until players mech out. Anyway others playing Skirmish for their own reasons but to me testing new gear is what it's all about that's all Skirmish is good for.

And btw. My task were to kill 20 reds in Skirmish for a certain amount of tokens. It was after one of those games I came here to write this (previous post) and oh I looked and the task still had over 3 hours to go and I had 17 kills. Well just went bk to the game to complete the task and its gone, vanished. replaced by another task. I am so pissed right now.

I know they have a time limit. I'm saying I took a 5min break from Skirmish to write a post on here and noted I had over 3 hours left before that task ended. Wrote my post went bk to finish the task and it had gone, replaced by another. I'm having other issues with bugs and wot-not since the 3.9

Are we talking about the 5 wins for 200k silver? That is not worth it. Skirmish gives about half the silver as normal so you are better off playing 5 normal games. You will get more silver per game.

Skirmish is mostly a crap-shoot. Some players are really skilled, some are very new, and some are just farming ads.
That smear of skill can make Skirmish very perplexing; engaging a red that just somehow can’t be hit followed by a completely oblivious bot waddling it’s fat bum in front of you. I’ve been having ok success by playing the first minute or two normally, as if it were a Master battle, and if it starts going south then I look for who seems to know what they’re doing. A player that’s aggressive yet careful and gets the objective of the mode. Buddy up with such players, keep each other alive, and sometimes it ends in a win. Other times wins are just whatever, it’s a crap-shoot.

There are several valid reasons to play skirmish ...
For me, I am virtually assured to get 6-7 honor points per game.
This assumes an 8 minute match maximally. Skirmishes tend to be faster.
If I feel like farming I can push it to 4 to 5 minutes, and punch out after meching myself.
Silver is white fast, especially when you don’t have to concern yourself with giving a crap.
The second reason is practicing with odd matchup and builds I don’t have to pay to test

I’ll leave you with my typical game: God I love guilt free seal clubbing. Not sure typical is what you meant. It may be time put down the skirmish, as it has gone to your head. Nice damage by the way. Cheers!

Not sure why, but I keep ending up on bronze/silver teams teams and the Reds are filled with experienced players. I come in top almost every time, but it's agonizing.
Over 10 matches, 1 win. And of course the task requires you to win and come in 1-3rd.

Not going for any of it. The only value I find in skirmish is the chance to drive equipment I don’t own. A lot of times, I’ll only need to drive a configuration a couple times, like Exodus/Orkan Lance. Don’t like it, BTW.
Otherwise, I find Skirmish boring, seems to be mostly made up of tourists and maniacs. Kind and like Florida. I’d rather play almost any other mode.

Just played 5 or 6 Skirmish (only because of the star event) won all but 1. It depends on the team you get. When you see a single plasma Mender charging at your Exodus Orkan Lancelot then you start to wonder what the heck... But you get this kind of players on your team and it's not funny then...

Ive just used skirmish to my advantage to obtain my first ever(!) Fujin.
Never felt so confident in my own abilities, coming in top pretty much every game and rarely scoring less than 1 million damage.
Also never been so frustrated at thick-as-mince teammates playing so 「gosh darn 」 awfully and requiring me to drag their useless behinds kicking and screaming over the finish line.
I had to physically shove a blue bulgasari onto our home beacon on dead city using my Weyland (last bot I had left btw), as we needed a sliver of blue on KOTH to win the match. We were outnumbered by that point 6 to 3 and my clueless colleague was happily sat about 10 feet away from the beacon, buzzing away at a pair of bulwarks bearing down on us. That single moment aged me by about a month.
On the plus side, beacon rush on Rome I got a Wrampage with a mender. A MENDER. Your opponents have to be aggressively awful to allow you to get that.
Next week, they'll all climb back into their ST spectres and the same people I have been spanking will spank me right back but hey, being top dog for a little while felt (mostly) good.

I immediately go for the lance. Mender can pop his damage resistance / speed / heal button , dodge your missiles,AND outrange you. Killing the lance in the last skirmish was key to winning.

Helldived my way to Godlike with a Shutze.
I was bouncing on spawning mini-Raijins. Starting to like Skirmish.
