Lag is becoming a playability issue. Last game in Skirmish two Ion Spectres landed with stealth on for more than 15 seconds each. Then they reappeared somewhere else. Another issue - this whole temp M3 feels unfair and reminds of tech doping. And the words that Pix's CM don't like to hear - I'm starting to get tired of this game.

I tend to be, as some can notice, a diplomatic person. This time, speaking about boosters, I cannot keep this aptitude. I feel it like the worst filth I ever seen in this game. I dislike the way the keys are dropped in number (without notice), but the boosters are the first thing made me wonder if to quit the game. Whales can be more whales and little fishes will become plankton. This is how I feel myself inclined to negotiate: That movie is awesome. Especially at loud with good surround. Love that scene.

Can I ask what BoT is? Searched the App Store and didn’t find anything specific, but I would love to checkout an alternative entertaining game.

It is, and under appreciated by many IMO. Funny, I wasn’t sure I liked it the first time I watched it (too young I guess), but every viewing after I enjoyed it more. Similar case with Starship Troopers, actually didn’t like that one first time around (again too young on first viewing) but years later enjoyed it quite a bit.

Did Luc Besson ever make a bad movie? 5th Element is one all time "scifi" (not really scifi but well) classics and still looks great even though it's 21 years old now. Starship Troopers is a very satirical and political movie. Some see it just as some kind of splatter movie, but there is more behind it. Paul Verhoeven made some cool stuff. The 1987 Robocop, the 1990 Total Recall, the 2000 Hollow Man. They're all classics imho.

Agreed for the most part, not watched every Luc Benson movie so can’t say, many of his that I have watched I like, although I wasn’t a fan of Lucy (it was okay, and had some nice elements to it, but the overall story and bad science let it down IMO). Total Recall is another of those that I watched when I was too young, and didn’t enjoy as much as later viewings. It occurs to me now that I recall my early childhood, I really did watch too many age inappropriate movies at a very young age.

I haven't seen all movies Luc made, but the ones I've seen, I liked a lot. Maybe it's his style. Movies with a french production or producer are very different from the Hollywood stuff. Lucy was okay, as you're saying, but still not a bad movie. Haha, tell me about it. Saw Hellraiser when I was 13 or so. By the way, if we continue the movie and childhood talk, we should move over to the off topic board.

It's a similar game created by the original creators of War Robots. It's still fairly early in development and hasn't been released in the US app store yet, but many folks have started playing (myself included). It has potential, but is still a new game.
This some footage I took from a few months ago to see what it looks.

The lag and disconnects are terrible and Pix still insists it's on our end. They never have owned this problem and never will,so tired of them responding that it's our microwave or refrigerator. And the new upgrades that were supposedly made for our benefit stink. Pix has sunk to a new low! So, just stop playing? Too bad for anybody, who have spent so much money, that they feel they have to play because of the "investment". I hope you (generally, not kevmac) learn a lesson: never spend so much on a game, that it makes you hesitant to quit just because of the amount of money spent. Of course this would make buying stuff in War Robots too expensive for 99% of players, but that's a problem for Pix to solve, not something which should make you pay even though it is too much for you (where "too much" is defined as, you'd be seriously bummed by the amount of money wasted, if the game shut down tomorrow). Your point is well taken. The reasons I hesitate unplugging is purely because of my involvement and friends made clanning and I genuinely like playing War Robots. I'm torn.

I had a buddy that's a designing engineer at Bose Audio check things out for me and he told me in technological terms that I can't repeat then he dumbed it down for me saying their servers can't handle all the players at peaks and that the video ads really screw with service. This guy knows everything about computers so I believe him . Without access to the servers and actual knowledge of the infrastructure there's no way to know any specific details about the environment, let alone capacity, peak or otherwise. No highs, no lows, gotta be Bose... I think he's speaking from his knowledge base and experience, for what it's worth.

Beside the lag which is worse than ever there are too many different bots many of which are similar to existing ones(NOT to mention medic bots, please!)every new weapon is long range (trying to get close to use my Orks is hell)plus these modules are a bad idea imo.Too many options complicate the game and finally the new economy and update costs and times stink.

Ah that's just a setting on their webserver. It drops the ICMP echo request packets. But I guess you knew that Not that skilled in network stuff. My CCNA expired some years ago. Pixonic is using Amazon AWS. No one these days running around the world to setup their own DC. Get a packet sniffer and you can be sure which server your game is in talk with

I have 20+ years in infrastructure, performing architectual design, capacity planning, and data migration in multi billion dollar companies. The last one I was in has revenues in excess of 47b with an internal user base exceeding 200k. They also have 2 B class licenses, one of which was used to act as an ISP and provide portal services for over 2000 retailers. I like my anonymity, so I'll skip where I am today. Without it, how would you, or anyone else know whether or not I had any ground to stand on in comparison? As a side note...many years ago when I was a young teen I was sentenced to community service. My first two days were spent working with the city water/sewer dept. One day I had to scrub lime residue put of some kind of tank and the other day I was hands and knees underground in sludge helping them do some pipe work. That's tough work man. A dirty job indeed. Kudos to those that quietly do those things most of us take for granted that make our modern lives what they are.

The new update is strenously unattractive with a pathetic interface. Too Laggy. Bad Background for Robot Hanger. Bad In battle Loading screen Pictures. Bad In Game Loading Pictures. Worst In screen animations in terms of claiming rewards. Worst In screen animation of receiving Damage in Match. you are drunk. This is the best hangar yet. That said, only good thing about update.

I wonder if the YT bloggers who make income from their videos of this game look at each crap update and wonder how they are going to push and promote and pretty up this game to their watching audience. If they read this forum after this 4.0 debacle I think some of them will be making appointments to visit the employment office on Monday morning !.

The premise, plot, story, and visuals are all amazing. The acting.. Not good at all.

I appreciate your post. I also humbly disagree. I view these temporary boosts as a way to give power back to the masses. As you stated so very well most players don't have the upper tier bots or can't afford them or don't have the time to buy them with components.
The average Joe plays a lot less than the people that can afford to play all day. Maybe they can't afford to play all day but they do anyway. Most people with lives jobs and families can maybe squeeze in an hour or two a day playing. If at all. These boosts give them the ability to make their equipment better even if only temporarily and that improves their experience.
I'm not happy about the overall changes to the game and will likely see most of you on BoT but right now I'm part of a really great clan (shout out to Kevmac, Bel, Ninja etc.) and still enjoy my experience.
Does anyone see a silver lining possibility here? With the 20% speed boost a Gareth can go almost 77kph! A Rog can travel at 72kph! Two of my favorite bots that I never use. I was playing a Champ match earlier and saw a Galahad going faster than usual and I thought "hey that's awesome" before I splashed him to death with my ork hey-hey. I'm gonna play with these boosts and dust off some bots I never use.
As the great Tricky says, YMMV.

Boosts are fine for the average Joe,the problem is boosts are not exclusively available to average Joe and now the whales that are already maxed MK 2 bots and hangers can now purchase every boost available like a typical whale and increase their already OP bots and weapons just that little bit more. All the quicker to eat up all the tasty krill out there.

Frankly, the way you put it here, the boosts sound like "energy" mechanism, limiting your playtime unless you pay. Except boosts don't recharge automatically, you gotta pay always. Or, of course, not pay, play without boosts, and have a serious downgrade to your gameplay. Yeah, sounds like Pix allright.

I just deleted the app due to boosters alone, forget about technical issues, these devs are spoiled college kids, tuition and all, probably never had salary. I wanna defend this crap, but, I was raised better than that. so no more war robots for me.
