I'm only referring to multi-player online games, and those that you really spent a lot of time on it. Mine, with the exception of war robots are all PC based. Plus since I'm an old chap, practically all of the games are no longer in existence Here are some of it, in random order: 1. Gunbound 2. ROSE Online 3. Counter Strike 4. 9 Dragons 5. O2 Jam 6. EARTH 2025 7. Shot Online EDIT: Starcraft - forgot to mention this earlier PS For some reason I just don't like Ragnarok Yours?

Goodness gracious, where to begin? Strictly multiplayer online stuff...
-Doom/II/Plutonia on PC -Diablo II PC -Doom 3 dm/tdm PC -Return to Castle Wolfenstein PC -Half-Life Op-For & Blue Shift dm PC -Day of Defeat PC -Team Fortress Classic PC -Ragnarok Online PC -Mechwarrior 4 Mercs dm PC -Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare PC -Day of Defeat:Source PC -Team Fortress 2 PC -Diablo III PC
And more recently, since my last computer died in 2013...Although I did stop playing games for a while...
-Diablo III PS4 -Star Wars Battlefront (disappointment) PS4 -DOOM PS4 -Final Fantasy Record Keeper mobile (Android) -Various free Spades applications. mobile (Android)
And most recently, Walking War Robots. mobile (Android) Phew, now I need a nap. Or a Mech Frag-fest.
Edit: Forgot about Hawken on PS4. It played too much like an FPS in a mech skin and I dropped it pretty quick.

Does a Gameboy with a data cable count? Then my first game was Tetris. PS1 could be linked with another one. You just needed a second TV. Oh boy, Commando&Conquer was great.

Well, started with pong on a console hooked up to my parents TV...1986. The list that follows on a PC is rather too long and boring I can speak of my favorite ones though: Homeworld + HW Cataclysm (Top of the list; it made me buy my 1st mouse with scroll), System Shock 2, UFO (1&2), Deus Ex, Quake (only #1, all following sucked imo), Bioshock, Starcraft, Fallout 1-4, Unreal Tournament, Dune II , Mechwarrior II, Descent Freespace 1&2 (overall, I would say one of the top scores for me), Freelancer, Privateer (yay!), X-wing early series.

The Last Of Us (ps3 + ps4) Bulletforce (ios app) COD MW3 (ps3) Destiny (pre-expansions on ps4) Runescape (PC)
The notable (to me) online multiplayer games aside from War Robots that ive spent the most time on throughout my rather short gaming career ;p.

Duke Nuke em'. omg freelancer I loved that game You should try then its precursor - privateer (1992 iirc). That was the game that kept me glued to screen for long days. No 3d graphics in original make, but there was a re-mastered version with updated engine and graphics (made by some true fans). Freelancer was long-expected game to take similar playstyle as the privateer. In between there was also starlancer (no freedom, trading just linear campaign), that somewhat gave base to (rather crippled) story behind freelancer. I enjoyed freelancer, but it was imo a bit too simplified if compared with e.g. freespace.

K A Z Thanks for info. I still have an old (16 yrs old) desktop with enough spare parts to last my lifetime running XP. I still fire it up and play the old games mentioned here. I can't believe how many I have forgotten about that have been mentioned my the old (young) folks here. Think I need to do a search and see what I can come up with to add to my collection. Dark Star one and the follow up.

Heh...good old times, now being Mr Serious with Wife, Kids, job, etc I seldom have time to really have a good play on PC. Last time was Fallout 4, but it's in no way as addictive as some oldies were (maybe that's just me). In case you're into space sim, I can highly recommend is Descent Freespace (1&2). I played several (more than a dozen for sure) games like that, but this one outclassed the rest for me. A space sim, where you could really fell like a small speckle of debris, especially when flying along a capital ship (take heading, get some tee, drink it, check if you are any closer to the stern lol). Story / plot was also awesome..almost getting personal sometimes In case you have a chance/time to play an older game my highest recommendation would go to the Homeworld though. A strategy with an amazing story, revealing as you go, a 1st truly 3d strategy...not just graphics but the arena itself. Graphics surely aged by now, but in 2000 or so were unbelievable; it was a huge leap - felt like rendered scenery, but was not (back then some reviewers were skeptical if it's true, until they actually played it ). Music - a true orchestral background was simply immersive. As for the play: 3d formations, luring the enemy, stealing his ships, etc... tons of ways to play that game. Afterwards I never found such experience in (any) game - that one was simply amazing. Only other game worthy of comparison was the sequel (Cataclysm), that again was the only sequel I have ever played that did not feel like a jump for extra money as 99.9% sequels do. Totally different story, game mechanics changed in a way to match the new story, as well as the playstyle....etc... Ok, sorry for a long off-topic...just got a bit melancholic here lol

I've played mostly MMOs. Tried all the major releases. Here's a list of the ones I've enjoyed the most.
1. DAOC 2. Planetside 3. EQ 4. WoW
Fifteen plus years of enjoyment out of these four games. After WoW I got burned out with MMOs. They all require too much of a time requirement for my current lifestyle. Hard to tell the wife and kids I have a 6 hour raid tonight so don't bother me!
I am currently loving mobile pvp games. Call of Champions and War Robots are my favorites. It's great to be able to play just for 10mins if I want or a couple of hours if the family is doing something else. I definitely see mobile being the future for my gaming fix.
