With the volcano eruptions in Hawaii I wanted to let you all know you are not alone and there are alot of us wanting you to stay safe. In the mean time can someone explain this photo? Is this road so unused that trees actually grow out of the cracks?EDIT: Never mind. I read this is a "offering to" or "religious ritual for" the volcano.

My guess is, the cracks in the road formed quite recently. With the tropical climate, the plants sprouted and grew almost overnight. Seriously, stay safe, big Hawai'i. You're in our prayers.
