The problem is, the rog is 「dookie」. Period. This new bot actually looks somewhat useful

Great article! "It's much easier to sell something to one of your existing customers than it is to sell to a brand-new one.
There are all sorts of reasons for this, but basically it boils to down to one thing: trust.
When you've already sold something to someone, you've built trust. They gave you money, and you gave them a solution to their problem. Your product, payment system, customer service, packaging, and shipping have all lived up to the hype (hopefully!) and you have a track record of delivering on your promises.
But that doesn't mean that they'll automatically become repeat customers. " (emphasis mine) Unfortunately, recycling content in the hopes that the same people who bought v1.0 will buy v2.0 comes at the risk that all potential customers (both existing and new) gain reason to doubt the longevity of the new product being flogged. I have hardly anything that costs Au, but I'm sitting on roughly 7k wondering which bots & weapons (among those that are most useful) are least likely to get nerfed in the near future. Fury (as a trident platform)? Just brought into line with Natasha. Galahad? Getting close to the age of Rhino when it was apparently nerfed (before my time, but I can read forums too...). Safer to keep my powder dry and expend as little as possible. And that's just how I think about spending virtual currency on this game, let alone the real stuff. Trust takes time and effort to earn, can be lost in a careless instant, and is nearly impossible to regain once lost.

Is that Mantra a lie...? I swear the Anti Capitalist sentiment inherent here against Pix is mild brain damage...Which is it : Is Pix is some evil stupid group of thugs who are out to steal from people, or are they a talented game company that makes a pretty fun game? Is the only correct thing they do for their customers simply getting everything wrong? Why Am I trying to explain this to a complete stranger on a chat board?

Ugh. This thing is NOTHING like a Rog. In fact it's not like anything in the game. This bot is a brawler...except it hasn't got much firepower for a brawler. It survives on speed and insane agility. It's vulnerable chiefly to midrange rockets...except only at close range. It can dodge Orkans and Pinatas easily; and, from 400m, it can dodge most missile salvoes fairly effortlessly. And the darn thing is so fast that it's hard to track even with plasma.
Think: everyone has been complaining about how OP Trident Furies are. And now...a new prototype bot that can dodge Tridents! So this bot is EXACTLY what we've all been clamoring for: this is the hit-and-run specialist bot that will restore balance to the Force.
To the Rogatka lovers: face it, Rogatka is obsolete as it is, and will be until the new Leagues system is introduced. Once we start playing in Leagues, the Rog will simply be in a lower league. Rogatka can't compete in top tier as it is...this is a bot designed for upper tiers, which just happens to be somewhat similar to the Rog. But, the two are only superficially alike; in actual use, they have very little in common.

I swear the Anti Capitalist sentiment inherent here against Pix is mild brain damage...LOL! My anti-capitalist leanings are entirely predicated on my stance as an Original Anarchist. The ruling class of our current world are corporations, ergo I'm against them as a general principle. It doesn't mean that I believe there aren't any decent corporations out there, I just don't trust 'em. Now I'm going to shut the hell up before I get dragged down that rabbit hole yet again. Also funny that as recently as yesterday I was being accused of being an apologist for Pixonic...

IMHO, after playing the proto in test, it really is not OP. You still have to contend with Hydras and Spirals; it's vulnerable to a weapon with homing or sure lock-on ability. And vs L12 arms, you can still get shredded if caught in a corner or crossfire. It would be kinda funny -- if not downright hysterical LOL-funny - to see a whole squad of these things darting & dashing around the battlefield. I for one hope this bot comes to fruition and makes its way to live play.

This bot is a great addition to anyone using a Galahad.
The speed and Dash make this bot basically immune to any splash damage weapon ---- including the Trident.
That mates well with the Galahad, which is immune to energy weapons and missiles most of the time.
I just hope the bot is not nerfed, but if it is I hope that us only an HP nerf and not to its speed or cool down.

Having a hard time liking the futuristic design of the prototype. Same with the wild west bunch. I hope the Pix designers will eventually get back to creating some war machines that look weathered, battle-proven and intimidating like Rhino. The new prototype is as sexy as a Fiat Multipla in my opinion...which is quite the opposite of actual sexyness...

From the test server email: — New robot prototype (HP 150K, speed 60 km/h, ability cooldown 4s) The proto bot has two medium weapons/hard points. Good luck hitting that thing if those stats are even remotely what it ends up with. That was my comment to developers. Only way to kill that thing fast is lock on Zeus. Rocket will miss with that type of speed. Plasma and bullets only maybe 60%. Only guarantee hit so far is Zeus.

My question is why make a new rog when all you really need to do is change the old one. If they decide to release the new bot i will be displeased. However if they just update the rog into this new prototype i will be happy. Anyone else's thoughts on this. Let me guess, you have one or more Rogs in your hangar, yes?
