I installed it then played it for three matches and then I uninstalled it due to poor design.Seriously, it's not comparable with War Robots.

Don't you need an invite to participate in a closed beta?

Don't you need an invite to participate in a closed beta? Yes, you certainly do. Haven't gotten my invitation yet but a very few have just for adjustment purposes. More invitations are supposed to go out pretty soon.

I am in a region where the full release is out on iOS.
I have been playing for a day or so now so give it quite a big discount, but initial impressions are that it is a different game entirely and needs a heck of a lot of work before it feels anywhere near as joined up as War Robots.
The bot set up is way more complicated with all kinds of modules, no clear store or understand of what is potentially available to get.
The in game experience is almost the opposite - you have the mech warrior style damage per body part, but since the graphics are such that any bot beyond around 200 metres is a small dot bouncing around and there is no target lock (at least I didn’t work it out yet) you cannot really target those specific body parts with most weapons so you just shoot randomly. I am playing on the 9.7in iPad so not the biggest screen, but I think playing it on a phone would be impossible. I think it would be much more at home on PC.
This is not helped by the fact that the bots are bouncing up and down constantly over terrain and target indicators only show when there is a line of sight between someone on your team and the specific red. This results in the fact that homing missiles don’t hit the target unless a direct line of sight is maintained - as much as I hate the hydras, I think this mechanic is equally irritating as a solo player (although certainly it will make for interesting team play).
Again, I am only a day or so into and I think there is a lot more to learn, but it is definitely not all the things that people wished War Robots was and will take a lot of getting used to for most War Robots veterans. That said, it is good enough a game to play if they kill War Robots entirely with workshop 2.0 and whatever other rubbish Pixo is planning to push their badly thought out monetisation agenda.

I never actually received an invitation, but I downloaded the game, and have been playing it since Friday. It's not War Robots, but it's early days. War Robots wasn't developed overnight.

If you want to share the link? Pm me if that's an option. I applied like 2 weeks ago and never got an invite. They need beta testers to make the game better. This is what it's all about. It's not a game with 3 years of development behind it. Rome was not built in a day

I'm waiting for my email, looks different, clunky but then real bots would be clunky, looking forward to take it for a spin

You do not need a reply email. I did not get one and it works fine. I did however applied when they announced it.

This.
Just remember, this is version 1.3.4, which means the game is in its early stages. How many people were with War Robots when it was at 1.3? It was pretty crude, I'll wager.

I’ve been playing it since mid 2017, first in closed beta, then live app via regional switch until it releases in the US.
BoT and War Robots should not be compared. They are each their own unique mech combat experience. If you let go of comparing and give it a little time to immerse yourself in the experience, it’s awesome. If you only play a few games, without informing yourself with the plethora of information about the UI and equipment, and you do this wearing War Robots glasses, of course you’ll be disappointed, because you want it to be the same as War Robots. Even though War Robots itself is fairly user friendly, there is still a great deal of information we need to learn from other sources to refine our depth of knowledge. So if we play BoT a couple times and don’t get it, we only have ourselves to blame.
Keep in mind it is still a young game and has a ways to go to hammer out the kinks, but it is still great. Nevertheless, it won’t be everyone’s cup ‘o tea.
I play both games and thoroughly enjoy them each for what they are, and it is nice to have a breather by going back and forth between them.

Might be your country where you live (just a guess). I'm in the US, and it downloaded and loaded like a dream, both on my S7 Edge and my S5.
Good luck, Pilot.

I’ve been playing War Robots since around 0.3.0. By 1.3.0 the game was actually already pretty developed and mechanics were not too different to today, most of the changes after that have been new bots, weapons and ever more complicated monetisation tools.

Okay, maybe I was mistaken regarding War Robots. B.o.T. is very playable, but there are still things to iron out. My only major complaint with B.o.T. is there isn't a lot of foundational instruction. You're kind of just thrown in to the deep end without a life preserver. Discord is somewhat helpful, but the only real way to learn is to play and to watch Youtube videos.

Yes, definitely agree - I think it is very playable especially once they make some more progress. Also fully agree that lack of instructions is a major issue for new players getting into the game.

Sorry, I haven't seen the inside of BoT in many months. Besides having a memory like a sieve, I'm pretty sure it's changed quite a bit since I was last in it. I was high on it at first, got mod-ified on the BoT forum, then just got turned off by one of the updates that turned the store into a total kluge. Not to mention a dire lack of time to play, which was critical to amassing resources needed to upgrade gear, which was necessary to be able to compete with players who have nothing better to do than play all day and upgrade their gear. ѻﻭɼﻉ would be a much better resource than I. If you look around the BoT forum, there were a few how-to threads, though I'm not sure if anything has been added since the last game update. Finding good information and insight on that game is not easy, because most of those clowns on Discord like to hold their secrets close to the vest. At least that's how it was the last time I was there. Not at all like the helpfulness you find in this community.

Anyone try playing on emulator yet? I think I read a string on Discord that most emulators won't work at this stage of beta testing. Some day in the future, but not presently
