I have a Rajin but its not my favo. If ur up to close combat, want to run to a beacon, plating shield, tarans/magnum for example than the Rhino is for you.
Rajin is more to protect beacons, has a shield but cant run, close combat strong but isnt that flex as rhino.
Rajin is nice to have in ur collection. With the right heavy weapons its overall great. For King Of the hill A Rajin wudnt perform well for takin more than 3 beacons. So its up to you to decide whats best.

Are we talking about Rhino and Rajin in a 6pack environment here?
If so, Rhino has proved himself to be the king of brawlers IMO!!

For 6-pak, I'd rather use a Rhino over a Raijin. And I've tried both.
Edit: Hopefully we don't get too many confused people in here that missed the whole point of this sub-forum.
I mean, I figured the name was a dead giveaway. But....

Neither. Grind for the daily offers for the new content. Get a dash bot, a descend bot, or some of the new weapons. So far, IMO, the Dragoon is the best heavy weapon, the Scourge the best medium (other than Orkan). As for best light weapon...I don't have a fave right now. But the Spark is being tested soon, and it's a light Scourge. So, spend your WSP wisely. Workshop 2.0 is still quite far in the future, so don't worry about that yet.

We've got one guy on our team who uses an RDB rhino for 6 pack - don't quite understand it myself but it works for him.
Has anyone actually seen a rajin in 6 pack? I have on leveled but have never used it.

I'm not sure the OP is referring to 6 pack, if he is in Diamond and wants to climb the ladder then none of the WSP robots are worth buying, better off spending the WSP on component deals.
If he is talking about 6 Pack, I don't consider the Raijin viable for 6 Pack.
However, the Rhino is one of the best, if not the best, robot in 6 Pack right now if piloted correctly (it isn't easy to master). It has great firepower, good speed, high armor and the strongest shield in 6 Pack. But Pins/Tulumbas/Tridents are the Rhino's kryptonite, the Rhino can't dodge those rockets at all. Those weapons keep the Rhino from proliferating and dominating the league.
This video says it all:

I didn't find it quite fast enough to out weigh the benefits of a Griffin, but it definitely has it's place on the larger maps where speed is essential.
Raijin is just too slow in most cases (though not every case). It can't get into the action fast enough. If you do use it, probably best to drop it 1st while your team gets to the beacons and you arrive in time to defend it.
I would take a DB Griffin or even an Orkan Rog over any Rhino on Moon, Dead City, Power Plant and probably even Valley. Your use on Springfield is an ideal condition (long map with the better spawn location and spawned as first bot) and obviously worked very well. Nice choice to run it first. It also looked like you changed your mind partway through your initial charge and moved back to gain some cover near the beacon. Well played sir!

I keep a DB rhino in my 6 pack hangar most of the time.
Raijins can be a bear in the right situations... especially an Ancile/Thunder Raijin if paired with a good team mate that has either Puns or MR gear... but only if sitting on beacons or in a chokepoint that allow for that MR friend to get a good firing lane on the enemy and have Flanks protected. But I cannot stress how situational that is.
So.... Rhino, all the way. DB is my favorite version and does all I need it to in 6 pack. I am by no means a Rhino connoisseur, but it has performed well enough for me to keep it in most of the time and miss it when I take it out.
IMO, YMMV.

If you want to see a classic 6/6 Rhino moment take the following video to about the 42:30 mark and keep an eye on DarkVagabond as he begins to encounter ΛNNlHlLΛTRlX in her Lance. It's so worthwhile!
And if you haven't wet your pants yet today, watch the entire match. It's funny and educational as both teams play spectacularly and the PLAG commentary is...colorful.

The only Raijin I have seen that is good is the one with an ancile and ember, the rest are just bags of silver.

Best use I saw was a guy in one of the iOS Aurora clans named GHOST_TITAN. He used it on a Wednesday night fun night with 2 anciles as a support bot. It was damn near in invincible. I had to use a punisher griffin to finally take it down. Multiple clips...like 5. Of course, I was taking down the other bots he was protecting too. Lol. That shield just wouldn't quit!

My personal opinion to OP is to not waste WSP on either, instead invest in Tarans/magnums and use them on griffins which you hopefully have, if not just buy a few and level them.
They'll do you more good than a carnage or rhino. after buying tarans, use WSP on daily deals and focus on a component bot such as Haechi or bulg or even hover. The daily offers come in pairs so you can focus on acquiring a component bot and component weapon of your choice.
If you really want a WSP bot I'd say only get a carnage if you have a couple zeus's, if you get the rhino you can give him orkans/pinatas or Tarans/magnums but rhino can be tricky to pilot. Carnages with thunders just get wrecked by plasma/energy before you can even use them.
Like I said, just my opinion. I wish i didnt spend 13k WSP on a carnage, hes collecting dust..13k WSP would get me a lot of component gear these days. Never done 6 pack so if component gear isnt allowed, stick with buying Tarans and magnums for a few griffins.

I do have one, with double ancile I thought about using, the trouble is my teammates will be following me and no one will get beacons. I'll try it again tonight. It will be awesome if we play TDM Then there's the issue with jumping into my bubble...

Yeah, I moved away from the Doc with Tulumbas when I spotted him. Then I made him my first target out due to the danger he presented. Rhino is great on those other maps too: Moon (from 1:35 to 4:18) Dreadnought (I run the Rhino at the start): Basically if you aren't running Tulus/Pins, you're going to die and I am going to take your beacon. If you have Orkans/Pinatas then you'll take me down with you.

For 6-Pack, get some Tarans & Magnums first, then go for a Rhino. I won't comment on what to get for the regular league, which I don't care about anymore ?

Grab Tarans ASAP, before they will be components. I'm buying another one tomorrow. It is even easier to do so, because Black Market deals are ridiculously expensive now.

So in the end I got a rhino but soon after getting it I regretted it. Due to how hard it is to master it I've already side lined it. I will use it at some point I'm sure. Still think my plasma Griffin beats most bots and I'll use that as my main point scorer till I get my inquisitor. Other advice is useful for a free to play pilot if you have know best way to climb leagues.I'm in diamond 1 at the minute.

I did not plan this but me and rhino were about 400m out from a red spawn point and he was in front of me with shield up and I was piloting an orkan griffin..we took out about 4 or 5 enemies at point blank range.......it was so cool! So now if I see a rhino on my team,I'm on his 6!
