Played 30 matches tonight...Tankers were the defining factor in 25 of the 30...The side that had them lost obviously..No, no problem here move along nothing to see. Its not the MM ruining this game at the moment, its the orgy of mass quitters. They flipped the boat at the outset and are preventing its righting. Your evidence seems to prove OP's point, how can all these tankers tanking... result in a finding that it's not the system or MM ruining the game? Look at this another way, here is a 12/12 with a boss hangar but a horrid win rate... is there one post here suggesting he's simply a crappy player? I'm not seeing it, I really doubt it, just the time it takes to mass five slots, maxed bots, a thousand wins, a million damage is mind boggling. Is this the resume of someone happy with a 30% win rate. Insert LOL here. That finding to me, seems a million times less likely than... this is just another example, in a long string of examples, all seem to point elsewhere. Again, something (matchmaking) is leading to something (tanking), and there is a reason why. This tanking and manipulation of win rates and dropping matches are all effects, not causes of any problems. It is very likely something has to cause those things to happen, and that is the root cause of all these effects.

Honestly what did you think would happen with this new mm. I doubt pix will do anything to this paying pilot. Since their fb article says they are here to cater to paying players, which translates to english screw everyone else that doesent pay enuff to make them happy. Problem is alot of paying players loved playing in silver. www.facebook.com/pixonic/?ref=ts&fref=ts#Its not that im against pix making a profit but with new mm they seem more interested in paying customers and gougeing to make as much as they can over decent multi tiered gameplay. Are they really paying players? I feel that if an individual is a paying player, then they wouldn't waste the time to farm for gold by clubbing since you can just buy gold. I always assumed the clubbers are the ones who can't afford to pay in real money and thus stack the odds to farm gold. I'm a paying player and I just play to kill robots and I don't care how much gold I get in a match. If I lose or win, it doesn't matter since you get silver anyway based on your performance. I try to win of course but if I lose, then on to the next match.

Your logic is sound, but I think the hangars of 5 Geps, all sporting high level weapons, were often bought up front with cash, rather than assembled slowly over time. I never understood if the 5 Gep hangars primary goal was then to earn 10 gold, or rather was just the thrill of shooting up lesser equipped opponents.

I disagree... the implementation of a new MM is a symptom of a very similar action as tanking... the rampant exploitation of the OLD MM... and its lack of feasibility to add the features we wanted (according to the threads made and requests to Pix about it.) Either way, it can end up as a Chicken or Egg argument without having all the data and facts in front of us... Which we don't. What we DO have, is people that ARE doing the wrong thing... and you cannot blame the actions of one person on the actions of another. Those tankers are the ones doing the tanking. Period. They don't have to. They want to. The most common reason people do it according to what I have seen? They don't get the same gold rewards. Well, it is not supposed to be a guaranteed thing. The old MM spoiled us. All we had to do was have the minimum effective level bot with the highest level weapons that would keep us in a particular tier, and we could almost guarantee that 10 Au reward. That was never the intended results if we go by what Pix is saying... regardless of how the system got to that point. Yes it is a big change, yes the games are harder. Does that make it a bad game? Not to me, I have really been experiencing the opposite... I am loving it. I and several others are seeing "fair" games more often than not, now, while others, admittedly, aren't. I don't tank, yet my games are getting better. Am I the exception??? A fluke in the system? Maybe so, but that is all I have to base anything on. That and what everyone in my clan says and reports, and what I see here in the forums from posters. Usually, you can find a reason for the uneven matches... but not always. To say that tanking doesn't cause problems... man, without rehashing the same old stuff, I'll just say that I disagree, completely. It's gaming a system and blaming the system for it... even though it is the very same idea that made the old MM so onerous that the new one was begged for... just look back through the many threads before it hit, about the various (not just clubbers) issues with it. The only thing about the old one that really sucks isn't included in the new one (BTW Pix has acknowledged a goal to see it put back in) is the ability to play in lower tiers, fairly. I used to do it too... sometimes a hanger of lights with punishers and low level thunders was great fun! But the abusers ruined it. As they are trying to do now. Ah well... like I said in another post... guess we will see what we will. In the mean time... see y'all on the battlefield!

Many players are tanking due to the new MM - while I don't agree with what their doing, nor am I justifying their actions, it just seems a little over the top to call them out like that.
I'm sure if it is your own alliance mate or someone you know personally doing that, you probably wouldn't be going on a witchhunt.
And then going to the extent of questioning his character in real life? Seems uncalled for.
While this is a game, and we all know how we take games seriously just like basketball irl, no need to go on such a witchhunt or question people's integrity in such a manner.

I think the Geps cared less about the crops, and really just enjoyed the harvest. If the gold was really the goal, 5 geps didn't make any sense in any case. At 6000 gold, it would have taken 600 perfect victories to break even and you wouldn't get them, all that was needed was a team made with a couple of cossaks and you could hope for only the 5 gold.for damage. There were immensely more cost effective hangars to farm, if gold was all you were concerned about.

Ah well... like I said in another post... guess we will see what we will. In the mean time... see y'all on the battlefield! Simply put, tanking is up and that timing really aligns with the new MM. Add the observations, both here in the thread and the view as a player, it's very easy to conclude that A has caused B. To dig deeper and ask why, sure you can blame or defend, but let's stick to facts... the system we must observe, has changed. This change, seems to have caused an effect. In this thread, that effect is tanking. I concur with that, as I agree the system, has provoked tanking. It's what I see, sometimes, it's what I do. Oh.. Springfield again... spawn in the ditch... ugh.. grrr... pass. Any opinion onplace, worth, value, anything.. to just draw a conclusion... just becomes fodder in a forum. Back on topic... This conclusion has been drawn... I'm in full agreement... and whether the MM is considered right or wrong, it's caused a huge backlash. Case closed.

Somebody here in an earlier post stated that if you have a hangar that is 12/12 with a low win % you must be tanking. In the last 7 days my win rate has dropped to 40 % from 62 %. Before the MM change my win rate stayed steady between 60 and 70. I have level 11 bots and now almost all level 12 weapons. Soon to be done I hope so I can move on and finish my bots. I am not tanking or quitting any matches, even when I see what I know are low level players on my team. Or my team comes out with 5 campers and I am the lone knife fighter or a certain map. I fight, that's all I know. I am almost always in the top three, if not at the top. I almost always have the most beacons, original cap and liberated of course. I have just been on an unlucky streak with the MM matching me with players that have low level bots and weapons against teams with much better bots and weapons. Players that don't have enough experience to move left 3 steps and cap a beacon. Or run around and hide like granny got a stick and they gonna get a whoppin' So I don't think you can use that as a metric to tell if everybody with a low winning % is tanking or quitting. What you can use is this, a battle from 2/9/17 as evidence from the iOS platform. This was Springfield by the way. Even my one lone team mate quit after he lost his first bot. They had six kills, his one, my 5. My win rate certainly did not go up with this battle. But I didn't quit. Still trying to figure out where their no. 5 guy was. Maybe he took pity on me, or just joined the party too late to get a kill.

Idk about that 2 accounts i didnt buy gepards i earned them and had fun doing it i bought 2 with first account. Sadly one of account i was going to give to my son this spring break as a present, now id be too embarassed to give it to anyone. My main account is what i spent the most money on. For most farmers gold wasnt the problem silver was. Which is why most money was spent on premuims and gifts. One large faction of farmers was people that used to enjoy just playing the game. Then gold and wsp would just stockpile on account. Gold would be used for speed ups then

Thanks Officer TAS! What do want us to do about it? Publically shaming pilots that blatantly tank is the only thing we can do. Clubbing is one thing, but tanking is far below that. It's not that anything that had to do with having any ethical superiority, its that this kind of stuff should royally pisss any player that has even a shred of decency not to do it.

I don't want to hijack the thread, but clubbing under the old system is not comparable to the tanking under the new system.
I assembled my 5 Gepard hangar by earning and saving gold over months. Every Gep I got equipped with magnums helped the gold come in faster. Eventually I was able to earn ebough gold to equip a gold hangar as well.
The whole time I ran my Geps, they were available to every other player under the same terms that I met to get them. I played by the rules that Pixonic set. The goal is to win, and Geps were an effective tool in meeting that goal.
Yes, it was a bad time facing a squad of geps coming at you. I've been on the receiving end many times, and I've done my share of clubbing as well.
My point is, it wasn't cheating to use 4/12 Geps, individually or on groups. It was playing by the established rules to get the advantage on the opponent. And it didn't let one's teammates down, either, like tanking does.

But good luck convincing alot of people here. I think alot are bringing up their own clubbing seal experience and forget the rules and stats changed from when they started in TT. Alot dont even know the stats changed several times on gepards. Including a 30% armour nerf gepards got just before mm changed. Now that they are tt and content with that boring gameplay to hell with everyone below them seems to be the common sentiment.

From my personal experience lvling 3 accounts and from what i heard from clanmates about 25% bought them and usually 2. Its what i did on main account but 2 others i leveled without buying gold just robot gold drone option you get at start of game. I bought gold for others to help them out to get bonus premuim. I simply loved playing small bots because of the faster pace. The last account i made has 75k wsp and 12k gold in stockpile. This is made very easy just doing daily quests and playing a few mnths a hr a day. I use lvl3 gepards with lvl 9 weapons with it. Wasnt about farming or being a clubber it was about building good botz cossacks shultz then gepards and enjoying play with them. Was going to give that account to my son for spring break. Now id be embarrassed with new mm to give it to someone i hate....lol

Are you referring to quitting matches before they start or during? There are a couple of maps I simply detest playing and I opt out of them often before the match starts. Not trying to kill the game for the rest of the team, just figured Pixonic would fill in my slot with another available player. Or is this guy just standing in the game doing absolutely nothing? Because I've been seeing a lot of that crap lately.

As someone who had a primarily 3 gep hangar setup (with a fourth, that I got bored with,) I can tell you that it can be done without paying up front or clubbing in bronze. I did buy the introductory gep with a new profile and that's all. I earned enough to buy more through wins, gradually and slowly leveling up to 4/12s. I liked the way the gep played because it was fast and I could cap the beacons that nobody else seemed to be getting. I was always firmly in silver tier competition, running against griffs, leos, carns, rhinos, fujins, the britbots, and raijins, so I wasn't blazing away at lesser opponents. One of the reasons that I liked playing my geps is because I had to be a smarter more skillful player. If I was careless or overconfident I was blown away quickly by any of the aforementioned bots. All of them could take me out in literally seconds if i got caught out in the open, and I played every map. I rarely saw any destriers, and I kept my cherished cossack until it was getting smoked before the first beacon grab. A skillful stalker pilot can also take out geps rather easily, so running a gep is no cakewalk.

That seems backwards, as the excessive tanking is in response to the POS mm.

Heathencat, I think if you leave before selecting a bot, Pixonic fills the slot, but if you select a bot and leave I'm not sure, might die and lay on the ground, or stand still idk, one game i played, there were 4 bots dead on the ground and 1 carnage standing motionless this was at the spawn point, when i turned around it was 30 seconds into the game.. even with all of that, strangely all 6 blue slots were there (maybe 1 guy had 1 bot left, idk)
I would say if you don't like the map [and I am not endorsing this] then do it before you select or pixonic starts filling the slots.
Here is the problem with picking your own map, overall you will see only knivefighters, worse yet, a lot of death button on short maps and long range stuff on the big maps, problem is, guys (like me) who play them all is ill equipped most likely when going up against enemies on the different maps. That is why I would love to see pixonic add a feature of a 2 bot stand by, or on deck, sort of speak. So at the beginning of the game, you can switch out one or two of your bots before the game starts.

Tankers don't bother me too much, if the team I'm on plays hard and I play hard, we can do it with 5 players, it sucks if you lose and so I focus entirely on my play, watching the beacons and killing as much as possible.. just pick good targets (targets you can kill, don't waste time shooting at a shielded rhino, either move to his side or move on for now) but as long as you focus on your play and not others you can get wins. I lose a lot to death button stuff and triple tridents but this has a lot to do with too many people picking their own maps.

Then Pixonic should allow us to see which maps we're about to be dropped into beforehand. Non-jump capable Nats suck in the dead city. The only real contribution they make is with long range support but 99% of the time if you're in one you get no support from your teammates at close range. And the map's so damn small an enemy is on you in seconds. It's a knife-fighters map pure and simple. In real life a soldier usually has at least some intelligence about the terrain they are about to be thrown into and they usually get to equip themselves properly. We don't get that in the game. So I don't play maps I'm not equipped to play. That's not anything but smart gameplay. And I like to think I'm a smart gamer even if others look down at me for being one.

Tankers laugh at and brag about posts like this. Contact Pixonic to encourage them to institute a penalty for tanking or a system that prevents it. Expressing your opinion on a topic and attacking people personally are different things TAS. Posts like this actually encourage tanking.
Tanking is probably a symptom of a larger problem with the current MM architecture - hopefully the next update will address the MM system and improve everyone's game experience.

Here's a POS in Stoned Raiders - a pilot named [olf.!.] (Pilot ID O634I0) caught deliberately ditching matches to lower their Win % and Avg Damage --- at 32%. There's zero reason this isn't foul play, so don't bother trying to come to this AHole's defense considering his hangar and unbelievably low numbers. I can only imagine the kind of person this pilot is in real life and the lies they tell themselves to justify other underhanded stuff they do (cause you know it doesn't stop with just online games). I am sure you have complained to Pix about the tanking situation already. And I have no problem with tankers being exposed here. However, please do be aware that not every zero you see is a result of tanking. I just had this situation happen to me 3 times just yesterday where the game dropped me in and then disconnected on me. My win rate and dmg avg dropped and I'm sure someone on my team saw a nice zero next to my name, So while this does look slightly suspicious, it is not wise to jump to conclusions. Secondly, while exposing tankers is fine, you (and others) are crossing the line when you start to make the attacks personal in nature. That is just as unacceptable considered yourself warned that further attacks of a personal nature will result in a ban. What makes it even more sad Team Alpha Strike is that you should be the LAST person to make such personal attacks on others for unethical behavior considering your past and the grace and even protection that was given to you by the admins and mods here after the unethical things that YOU have done in the past. In fact, I would consider your sins WORSE that the person you just exposed. We have a wall of shame. USE IT. STOP making another thread for every single tanker you see. It is getting annoying to clean up and keep things orderly. Not saying you cant expose tankers. But keep it civil and without personal attacks. Seyla

Mhm, months of farming is immediatley available to new players. and, i mean, every new player can buy magnums (Which you can only acquire After level 20). and what is the point of spending 6000 gold on that hangar (Not including ahpids to equip them). seriously, you could set up a decent gold hangar with that, and then steadily work your way up to a top tier hangar.

Not really your business telling me what's my business either. And, in any case, once a moderator brings out a subject in public, that's anyone's business, especially if that weights on the credibility of a poster. Being able to understand if a given person is credible when taking a given position in public is, indeed, my business.
