Hey y'all!! Newbie to War Robots but not to gaming! I've been a gamer girl geek for a LONG LONG time. I started out with computers way before they were "cool". But my first online gaming experience/league play came with MechCommander back in the day (oh how I miss my Clan Jade Wolf). We had tons of fun back then when we could only 3v3 in mplayer!  (if ya dont know what that is, Google it!) We played for a league that lasted quite a while. Then TCL (The Cobra League) came along and we played a bit with them. Later on I ventured in to Rainbow Six in another clan called ERF (Elite Rebel Forces). They still game with the FPS games. I am very picky with games. I have always been biased toward Mech related games as that was my original "calling". My hubby and I both play War Robots and we used to game together in all the others as well. My daughter is also a gamer (still to this day) and she made me a Grandma about a year ago! My little grandson will be a gamer too I'm sure. (Runs in our DNA! HA!) Very glad to be here... Honestly, there's just too much advice to explain in one post; I'd be here for at least a day. Just look around a couple advice threads and you'll find the basics. 2 things though,
MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR 4 TARANS AND 4-6 MAGNUMS BEFORE YOU GET BOTS!!! AND GET THE 4TH SLOT FIRST BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE!!!
I cannot tell you how many times people buy that rhino or fujin first, and then they have nothing to put on it because they don't have the gold for 2/3 orkans and they wasted all their WSP on the weapons, or how many times people buy the gareth, orkan, gekko, even zeus before the 4th slot, when they have LITERALLY no bot to use it effectively.
My recommendation:
Get magnums first, if you get tarans first then you'll be short of mags.
Once you get 3, make a thunder magnum leo, works like a charm. Once you get a taran, make a thunder taran boa, also very effective. Once you get 2 tarans, take 2 magnums off your leo and equp 2 tarans and 2 magnums on a griffin to make a plasma griffin, which absolutely melts. After you do this, (I would recommend getting 2 more magnums to have a plasma griffin and a thunder magnum leo, but you don't have to), I would focus on getting 2 orkans to make a Death Button griffin.
My hangar after I did all of this was: Thunder magnum leo, Plasma griffin, DB griffin, RDB (tulumbas and pins) griffin, interchanged with punisher griffin (yes, it's a lot of griffins, but it's just the perfect platform for a lot of stuff, and it's a huge bang for a relatively low buck [in terms of once you have 10 mill+ silver]).

Should I level up weapons before leveling the mechs? Forgive me, they'll always be mechs to me. War Robots probably can not use the term Mechs due to copyright issues. But they are still mechs. She played with us (my husband and I and our clan) in MechCommander when she was about 9 or 10 years old. She is still a gamer and in fact streams her own gaming channel too. She plays many different games. War Robots is not one of them. Her fiance also is a gamer. We're all a family of geeks!! haha! We all love our games. I am guessing the grandson will be gaming in a few years. LOL Most definitely will enjoy every minute!! I do know they grow up too fast. I just made level 25 and now working on the league ranking. My advice - enjoy being in the lower leauge while you can - Expert, Master, and Champion Leauge Players all have shocktrains in their hangar.
Except me. Possibly the only Expert 1 player with No shocktrains...

The purpose is to prove we're not a certain type, of which I've already forgotten. Someone else could probably be more technical in the explanation. But I read about it somewhere here. You can also just use the search function anytime you don't understand something. Such as the forum bank, etc. LOL |

A few months back we had a sicko coming on the forum posting real gore photos of severed limbs and mutilated babies. Every time we banned his account he would just come back as someone else. The mod team decided to install a plugin that prevented the first 50 posts from being visible until we have approved them. There’s no need for you guys to be exposed to such imagery just for visiting our beloved forum! So, sorry for the inconvenience, but it’s better this way. We gave quite a few people the ability to approve quarantined posts, so you usually won’t wait more than an hour or two before it gets approved. In the meantime, thanks for your patience and enjoy the forum. It seems between the two of you you’ll be out of the quarantine phase in no time |
