Hey fellow War Robots community.
First of all, I just want to get this out the way. I'm very aware of what the meta is and what bots are the best for champion. While I am seeking to get to that end-game hangar, I was looking for some advice as to what I should begin to progress to next?
I stopped playing War Robots when the Kbots came to the test server. When I left, I was low Silver 1. I came back right before the spectre was released and after a few weeks of playing I am now Diamond 3. I use the Memu android emulator because my phone touch screen always randomly stops working when I play War Robots resulting in my not moving or firing and getting blown to bits.
Generally speaking I don't spend much money. If I have the gold task deal that gives me free gold with any purchase, I'll typically wait until it reaches 400 gold reward then I'll just buy a gold market deal for $1 or $5 dollars at the most if it shows up so I can maximize the gold I get per dollar. (For example I recently bought a gold deal for $2 and got 600 gold from it. Plus I got 400 gold for purchasing an in game item. And I also bought a $1 deal for 300 gold and I also got another 200 gold for another purchase within an hour... resulting in 1500 gold for $3.
I don't have much of any resource, gold, silver or wsp, but it's nothing I can't grind for.
As of right now, I'm been spending my gold to buy WSP and I stop after the 12 au conversion option because the ratio starts to get bad. I convert to WSP so I can keep up with the market deals that come for the components. I find that the gold and WSP equivalents typically are unequal and I end up spending more gold if I purchase the gold components rather than the WSP version of the deal. Right now, I'm currently only buying the 520 component deals for the storm and vortex because i want to make a aphid griffin and maybe a storm griff or rhino. I'm not sure what I should focus on next. I want to get an ember for the lancelot to make the taran build more effective but I'm not sure if I should instead focus on getting a haechi/bulg or a spectre.
This is the hangar I typically run with. I just got this Lancelot after grinding gold for it so I do plan on leveling it more.
Below are some build I put together to kind of showcase where my hangar is at and what possibly I can run.
It's not all there but just to give inventory in terms of weapons I have...
2 orkans, 5 or 6 magnums, 6 tarans, 2 tridents, 2 zues, 2 trebs, 2 lvl 8 thunders, 5 aphids, 1 hydra, No ancile yet :{, I have a gepard and a jesse, a natasha in the back and a random level 10 BOA (rip toaster).
I prefer the carnage over the natasha simply because it helps me fight off hydra spam as well as give me extra speed to get to a new area to hit the reds from. The carnage and the fujin are my only forms of energy shielding right now until I get my hands on an ancile.
Right now in diamond league (and on my way up to diamond) I've been experiencing a lot of hydra/spiral spam so my main hangar (first picture) I used to run a thunder carnage but I switched to zues because I found it harasses them more. Tridents hit them behind cover as they like to hide, but 1. it lacks in damage and 2. it's completely useless against anciles which have become very popular so I found it a waste of space to run it specifically for a hydra griffin. Also the zues helps me deal with the hydra fujin better as well.
The leo can be switched for a gepard (or soon to be pursuer) and the Hydra galahad I can level it up. I thought it might be a good harasser to counter all these wonderful Hydra Griffs. The RDB still prooves to be very useful as the griffs are a little more squishy. It's like having half the firepower of a DB at double the range. So about 2 1/2 salvos can take my enemy out by the time they get in range with their own DB.
Now that you've seen where I'm at as a player, what advice would you give?
As far as gold and wsp, should I save up for a fury, get another orkan in preparation for a fujin/haechi build or get an ancile for a ancilot?
As far as components goes, what would you recommend I store up for? Is it more worth it to chase the weapons (ember, wintrain, scourge etc) first or should I try to get my hands on a dash/stealth bot first?
Thanks War Robots community!
