Hey all, Just wanted to say hi and give my impressions. Been playing for a little over a week and am at lvl 22. As a long time gamer, gotta say this game has a lot going for it. I play on the PC so graphics are pretty good. Fairly intuitive game play and although grindy, Its totally doable.
Beefs that probably a lot of others that have been playing for a while miss: Matchmaking is just horrible. What was really quite fun in the beginning is just overwhelmingly lopsided. Whether I'm on the OP side or losing side. There is no way I should be playing against lvl 12 stuff period. I've heard this is engineered to "inspire" us to upgrade faster with cash, but honestly it just makes me want to bail. It's different if you have time invested but as a new player... not uh. This random game mode is 「slow」. It's like telling an athlete... show up to the game with your equipment and when you arrive everyone is dressed in different gear and then they tell you,,,, today it's ping pong. Show up tomorrow and we'll announce what game it's going to be. I've played 20 or so games today and 80% have been TDM. Bottom line is, i've seen 1 cossock all day. I know... GitGud. But I want to have fun and having Zenits fall instantly at spawn before I can even move isn't fun. Can't they at least have Beacon normal as a option?
Anyway. Game is good. But it's not really suited to casual or beginner players.

But it's not really suited to casual or beginner players. You haven't even seen the worst of it. You regularly will face fully maxed hangars in Silver league. But welcome to the game! As a long time gamer if you VERY carefully manage your resources you can still do ok. If you are playing on Facebook my advice is to immediately start again using an emulator to play on the Android servers. Much, much, much larger population. Although it can be clunky depending on your hardware. Worth considering anyway. Oh and of course! Welcome to the forum!

RDM game mode is awful. Don't know of many players that like it.
The game is a bit of a grind and my best advice is forget about dmg right now focus on learning the maps really well. Learn cover spots and range from one bit of cover to another. Learn where you can jump and or dash to to gain an advantage and, above all, learn the "normal" routes of the red team - it will give you a strategic advantage.

As a 2 year veteran of this game, allow me to give you some advice, please. Don't upgrade anything beyond lvl 6, and stay in Silver and gold leagues. At that point you'll see a few dash bots with ridiculous weapons, but past that it's a complete circus. This game used to be amazing, but over the last few updates it's taken a hard turn to pay to win and hit the gas. If you don't mind spending big $ on a mobile game, have at it, but if you're a free to play guy, or on a tight budget, stay low. Its the closest to how it used to be.
You can "manage" your league by throwing a few games here and there, maybe on certain game modes (TDM, for example). Dont just leave the game early, though. That will get you thrown into War Robots purgatory. Just run at the enemy all crazy like and let them kill you. When abused, this method is called tanking, and is frowned upon by players, though the developers seem to love it. But, if you just do enough to stay in Silver and gold, not many will have a problem with it.
Just my $0.02.

Stick around long enough to get your stuff up to grace, you’ll really enjoy it, trust me, besides, one week is not enough.

Tough it out. There's are hills and valleys in the game. You will lose a lot before you win. Focus on meta builds and come here for advice and info to help you plan your upgrades better. Gold and Diamond were the most fun for me. It's almost as if most of the tankers/clubbers I see are in Expert or Silver. Either they're on their way down or on their way back up. Serious tankers will go down to Silver and even Bronze.
Random mode isn't that bad after a while. You probably haven't encountered many of the truly obnoxious builds yet, like the Spydra Hydra douches. Spirals and Hydras are homing missile weapons that have 600m range and have the magical ability to swerve around buildings. They don't do a lot of damage at low levels, but once you max them out or even Mk2 max them out, they can be devastating. Then there are the various sniper builds. Again, not that bad at lower levels but once you get them maxed out, they can strip half your life in 1 shot and kill you before you reach the beacon or cover. Because of Random mode, a lot of people have had to balance their hangars out because if they get stuck on a small map and us knifers corner them, we LOVE getting our revenge!

Thanks all, good stuff. Another week and I've scoured the wiki and learned more and more. Played crazy and figured some stuff out. Still think this game is unbelievably imbalanced. Played 6 games today and when I say there were quite a handful of 5 slot hangers with more than a few lvl 12 stuff, i'm not exagerating. That should just not happen, ever! Ruins the game honestly. How or why the Dev's would even begin to allow that is absurd. Pay to win is great... but you got that gear you play with the big boys. No one but a demented sadist wants to see Mike Tyson go against a 6 year old quadriplegic. And i've seen level 6 guys in these same matches... imagine how they feel? I'll give the emulator a try. Sounds like matches are more balanced. Either way, this game suffers from the same symptoms a lot of 3 year old games do. Not sure why but a lot of them tend to do this. Must be a successful money maker. Cheers all

Well, I got the emulator working. Really like starting with all the stuff i've learned so far. In 3 hours am already level 7 and I won't waste my silver and gold on non essential stuff for sure. Also like the ads. Free stuff!!! BUT ... hate to say it, the imbalance is just as bad. I made private league 3 and there were lvl 12 items with players at rank 23. So, I guess just get used to it. On a positive note, I took out a natasha lvl 7 w/ zeus and assorted stuff with my little lvl 2 cossack. So that was fun
