Behold a new robot and a new weapon. The new robot is truly a blast to play though not overpowered and its somewhat quirky. While having three heavy weapons, its main mode only fires one weapon. When on flight, you can use all three weapons, and the mech has damage resistance to reduce damage, but not completely. The three weapons are still active about a second after landing. The cooldown time is about 15 seconds so you are going to do a lot of jumping. During flight it seems some kind of wings extend from the robot. When you switch the hanger, the robot closes its wings and flings two of its weapons in the back. No robot has animations right in the hanger before. If you want to know, the center point will hold an ancille, but the other points will not, much like the Butch's. ![](https://i.imgur.com/pzSyYXy.jpg) ![](https://i.imgur.com/F3NoVC3.jpg) ![](https://i.imgur.com/GANDCd1.jpg) This here is the Flux. ![](https://i.imgur.com/mO260hJ.jpg) ![](https://i.imgur.com/vV8RzP0.jpg) ![](https://i.imgur.com/AG7uU5P.jpg) The robot is a blast to play with Thermite but is going to see Thunders as its most effective and devastating weapon. Also debuting is the Flux which is a kind of a heavy Gekko weapon, so this is going to see some use with Butch, Fury and Natashas. But its also a blast with the Falcon, in a kind of poptart way. The Falcon basically feels like a weird hybrid of a gunslinger and a griffin. While it is fun to play, I also find myself snagging into ledges and overhangs in the map more often. It feels a little clumsy at times. Once again, the Mercury makes its appearance this time with a target zone ring that the player only sees and marks the area of collateral damage. I suppose it helps but not as much as I hope it to be. The Mercury makes a perfect test server companion to the Falcon, as fights constantly see a lot of jumping attacks as players try to outwit and outtime each other in the jumps.

i tried it in test server and it would be a great bot as a brawler but if used as sniper it could be devastating. Mobility of carnage is only thing which is its pro compared to fury ( ancile too but it’s quite weak) . A treb carnage is annoying but a treb falcon would be more annoying and cannot be killed with snipers too . However it might be a good counter to st bulg. I wouldn’t mind playing against it as long as people don’t camp with that bot . Actually it’s a fun bot to play with .

Too bad we can't see yet the Flying Ember Falcon of Death. I'm not sure if it will be as powerful as we think. It has low health, and when you use all 3 weapons you lose you damage reduction factor so you are really easy to kill. Anyway, this bot is fun to play! It's quite balanced, in my opinion, compared to the other OP content this game has.

The flux will be used on a fury to decimate at 1100m
Falcon will be gimicky and will not define a new meta (which is fine, just saying it won't replace the tried, tested and true bots)
They need to release more shielded bots

The Trident Falcon can be pretty nasty too. So is the Zeus Falcon. Trident Falcon would be inferior to the Tulu Specter in almost every aspect other than range --- and the Specter can close that 100m weapons difference is its initial Descend jump. The Zeus Falcon is interesting. Two tri-Zeus shots could be possible on the same target if timed right. Overall, I think the Falcon looks underwhelming. My initial impression is that Thunders, Redeemer, and Ember are the way to go with this bot, but with thus game moving towards mid-range setups, I'm not sure where the Falcon fits. There are already a handful of great setups that can fire virtually unopposed from mid-range (Scourge/Shocker Bulgy, Tulu/Shocker Specter, etc) and the Falcon would look to be a hard sell as mid-range replacement. When I consider the Falcon's weapon switch time, I just think of the Doc ---- it really restricts the weapons you can use and it sets up the desire to have a full time triple heavy weapon bot that has a special ability (kinda like the Doc/Specter situation). I already know that I'll be passing on the Falcon as it won't be hard to deal with since it really won't be able to carry a Splash type weapon and medium energy weapons setups current encountered far surpass any triple heavy energy weapon's output.

With only 1 weapon during its cooldown, I guarantee that this bot will be a choice target for a Mag Pursuer or a Gust Pursuer ---- it's virtually a free kill with near zero counterfire damage. I think the new bots will pu so much speed on the map, that slow bots will either have to be high DPS to kill th speedsters fast (a very difficult task) or go to mid-range and above to keep safe. For the Falcon, either Pursuer or Hellburner will easily be able to close in and kill it in the cooldown period. Think about this, the Pursuer can cover 300m in its Stealth run - what single heavy weapon (forget the Ancil Falcon - that's not going to work) Falcon setup can stop a Mag Pursuer from killing it in 15 seconds? 300m distance to run covers almost all the distances between center and side beacons on almost all the maps in the game.

Thermite is a blast on this bot. The Aphid kind of missiles benefits best from a jumping platform, and three Thermites can take out a big chunk of HP. This will be the only bot in the game that can launch three Thermites from mid air, and with a 15 second cool down time, which is a whole lot faster than any other jumping bot in the game. Flux and Zeus works well with the bot because you take advantage of cover and jump out from it. And once in the ground with its Fang Down mode, it can tank sniper shots with 66% damage resistance, and that's not assuming the bot will land behind cover. Three Fluxes will melt any bot, but three Fluxes against a Falcon seems like slowly chipping on it --- which may even eschew the impressions of the Flux as weak since everyone is using the Falcon. If a brawling bot tries to corner it, it can jump away, and it can do it every 15 seconds. And if its on the ground, there is that 66% resistance again. Flux Falcon in my opinion actually works better than the Zeus Falcon, especially if you use it against any other target other than another Falcon. The most impressive weapons to work with it would be Thermite, Thunder, and if the test server allows it, I believe so will Dragoon and Ember. I was also surprised how much damage the Redeemers are doing this time, and so I wonder if there were undocumented changes made. But a buffed Redeemer will certainly have its potential. Thunders are my favorite weapon, especially when you are jumping and diving down up close with three Thunders smashing. I can also see beacon bot potential since you can slap an Ancille on top, and combine that with the 66% resistance you got a tanky robot. Fit it with two Thunders if you want to fight with it.

That means two third damage inflicted on it is cancelled out.

But even then two thirds of the damage is cancelled out. Mags don't seem to have that high a damage these days and gusts needs to be pretty close. All snipers are supposed to be vulnerable against a brawler once the brawler gets close. That's part of the sniper balance. This is not meant to be OP. But if the Falcon is outfitted with three Thunders, the Pursuer would be dead if the Falcon gets the jump on it The Pursuer itself is subject to cooldown, the HP is quite low and it has no resistance. Three Thunders will have much greater output than three Gusts, and stealth doesn't stop Thunders aimed at the general direction of the Pursuer. Pursuers running around also exposes themselves to the fire of your other teammates. Even with other snipers, Pursuers still die a lot --- they might be focused on pursuing one sniper, but another sniper hits them in the back. Snipers have the range to cover one another from different directions. The Falcon is not a brawler, it is an ambusher. The real question with these new bots --- Mercury vs. Falcon vs. Pursuer --- is who gets the jump on who first.

The real question with these new bots --- Mercury vs. Falcon vs. Pursuer --- is who gets the jump on who first. No bot on level ground with a Thunder can hit a Stealthed Pursuer, as the Purser is too low. Even if it could, only 1 weapon can hit, as the distance between the lower side Thunders on the Falcon exceed the width of a Pursuer. Weve had thus matchup before - it was the Thunder Schutze vs the Mag Gepard. Even in those days, the Thunder Schutze had to get insanely close to the Mag Gerard to even stand a chance. In a Pursuer vs Falcon, I'd take the Pursuer and win almost every time in a 1-vs-1. It's no contest really. There's little chance a knifer or Thermite (Thermites are neatly useless against a running Pursuer - forget it bring under Stealth) Falcon can ambush a Pursuer. I also don't think 10 seconds under Mag fire is something a Falcon can take. The glitch with the Mags existed even 2 years ago - we simply staggered the Mags fire and the problem was solved (you do the same with Tarans, Orkans, and Punishers). Everythin is still in test, but we will see eventually. All my experience with bots that use weapon swaps, jumps, Stealth, or speed tells me that the Falcon is simply not needed and will have little impact on this game. Heck, isn't this slow bot a 2 salvo Quad Tulus or 2 Quad Hydra kill? I forgot - did you notice how just walking sideways (by a <50KPH bot) to a missile strike evades the majority of a Thermite's strike? Thermites won't work against fast bots at all.

Its true that Aphid type weapons will miss a moving target but these are used against targets that are not moving and hiding behind cover. Plus I don't really find the Thermite to be that inaccurate against moving targets. As for Tulus and Hydras, I don't find the Falcon an easy kill even by Orkans on its Fangs Down mode. Put an ancile on top of it and you can use it to capture beacons while tanking shots. People are not used to the idea of a bot with damage resistance. How long does it take to fully load another round of Tulus or Hydras, plus I don't find the bot to be that slow either and 15 secs is the fastest cool down time for any jumping bot.

Two little panels: 66% Damage reduction from ALL sources. Bots with a literal wall attatched to their chest? Just use splash.

I found the falcon fun with trebs, since it allows you to literally keep them marinating in the back. Jump from cover, shoot then land back in cover.

Much fun with Thunders indeed, and I just enjoy the all or nothing kill and be killed attacks. Of course you can always play it with Trebs, Fluxes and Zeus like a poptart sniper but that's a bit boring.
Thunder Falcon (awesome name by the way) works well with Gusts Mercury and other brawler Gust, Storm and Thunder bots in trying to zerg the enemy team. This is not a tactic to play alone, no but with other team members.

People are underestimating how much of a problem the Falcon will be if/when it gets released; I'm sure of this. This bot only seems relatively balanced because we aren't seeing it equipped with Embers or Dragoons on the last test-server. It will be plenty imbalanced when equipped with those weapons, especially if it ends up with a stealth-jump instead of a normal jump.
The thing is, you can't consider the balance of weapons or bots entirely independently from each other. Dash-bots were OP to begin with, sure, but they became much more of a problem when combined with Shocktrains. Shocktrains are also much more imbalanced than they otherwise would be if the dash-bots did not exist. You have to understand that half of the balance problem comes from the combination.
The damage reduction, speed, and jump of the Falcon will make it an absolute monster when combined with already overpowered weapons like the Ember and Dragoon, just like when you combine the Shocktrain with dash-bots. All of a sudden three of these overpowered heavy weapons will get to take a ride on a platform that has much better defense and mobility than a Fury or a Butch could ever provide them with, and that will be just as much of a problem for balanced gameplay as the most imbalanced components items we already have. The ability lasts long enough to kill pretty much anything with the burst damage of overpowered new weapons.
Everyone's looking at this thing and thinking, "Okay, it makes a Thunder Fury look irrelevant, but that's not so bad compared with all the other nonsense they've introduced to the game." Don't be fooled. Just wait until you see this thing on the live server, probably with functioning stealth when it jumps, and running 3x Mk2 Embers or Dragoons. This thing has the potential to be every bit as much of an imbalanced mess as both the dash-bots and Shocktrains.
There is obviously a plan in place to obviate all of the old school/legacy content at the highest competitive levels, so I'm surprised that so many people seem to be underestimating this thing. This is a components replacement intended to surpass both the Fury and the Butch, and even the Lance to some extent.

How high/far does the Falcon jump? If it's far, then it'd be devastating with Thunders and Embers. Imagine jumping and then landing and having the durability and firepower of a Raijin in bastion mode, but still be able to move.

I'd like to have tried this bot with Embers, but they weren't available on the TS. That would give it its best chance of survivability before its ability wears off.
