Interested to get the consensus on this. I still enjoy the game and play quite regularly and noticing what seems to be changing trends in take up of new equipment so wonder if this is just a factor of increasing pace of new releases spreading spend over more items or if spend has changed.

I’ve bought a handful (probably 5 or so) $0.99 deals of 600+ gold to get Lance/Fury/3 Zeuses. I no longer want gold items though and will continue playing with just daily task gold and that which I win during play. Converting it to WSP as I go.
I refuse to purchase anything more since beyond the cheap gold offers they don’t seem like particularly good returns on investment. I’m a pretty stringent F2P advocate.

I only buy the premium time, and gold offers at a bargain. I switch the gold to various component offers.
I don't spend on the royale and the roulette.

Spent couple of dollars just to get a few items, bots and weapons. Now that I have what I think I need, not gonna spend another cent more.

I was surviving on the free premium, but since they cut it off I also got premium as it is the only way to keep up silver earnings maxing a hangar. I am tempted by the gold offers, but try to resist as again lack of sufficient silver limits the ability to make much good use of it.

Apart from spectre and the occasional dragoon fury I am not seem much at all of the new stuff. This maybe fits the pattern in answers. At the prices of new content even the limited numbers of larger spenders need to be fairly selective,

Premium. And those 0.99 for 600-700 Au deals. And i guess if needed i would buy some keys when superchest is almost full at the end of countdown.
So no f2p for me.

I pay occasionally for Premium but try to combine it with "get 500 gold by making a payment".
And I bought the Gold Miner Drone deal as a noob

When I first started playing more seriously I spent a moderate amount on premium and a few large lumps of Au. Wasted it on Gold bots and weapons that I later sold out of my inventory(complete ?fluffy bunny?tardery on my part for sure). I probably spent around $450-$600 in 2016 alone. Then some unwanted changes started taking place and I locked the dribble from the faucet. Been closed ever since.

Purchased 3-4 times $1 offers from daily deal when it is at least 600Au, + 500Au from task.

I blew quite a bit when dashes were still plentiful on the black market. For a while now, mostly a dollar a week for the Au deal. A few sales for au and wp here and there. Other than that I just play and wait for whatever comes.

I was dropping a few $$$ here and there on decent looking gold offers up until last week. Then I saw in black and white what we've suspected all along, and it just hammered home how greedy this company is and how little it cares about the balance or quality of the game. I just can't and won't support that any more. I'd have to spend a lot more than I was to make any kind of measurable difference, and I wasn't going to do that, anyway. Like I said in another thread, if it weren't for my clan, this game would be gone already.

I can't in good conscience support a company which runs the kind of gambling scams War Robots contains.
And by scam, I mean, as the most blatant example, how in the card flipping game the card is effectively changed after you pick it. This goes against everything one would expect from a card flipping gamble. I consider it criminal, and am a bit baffled why Google, Apple and Facebook even allow it.
They have to do a lot of amends before I can consider spending even 90 cents for 100 keys and 500 Au (the bonus task for spending money).

Used to spend when it was clear what I was getting: buy Gold, purchase bot or weapon. The randomness of acquiring gear, apart from spending exorbitant amounts, means I will spend no more $.

I used to pay for premium, stopped altogether when the big monetization issues hit us: new currency for new OP items, extra hangars + random modes, roulettes, mk2
Won't pay a cent until the game reverts to F2P. So I guess never again

From July 2016 to Jan 2017 I spent about $150.00
However, things then took a turn for the blatant monetization and so over the last 13 months have spent $30.00, and that was on gifts for other players.
Would I have been a huge whale? Nope. But had Pix maintained relatively balanced game-play and just fixed the old MM rather than replacing it with the endless treadmill of the new, I would have spent much, much more.

Spent a total of $5 so far in the game in the past 1 1/2 years. I normally support the developers and game companies by spending some money especially if I enjoy the game but since I started it didn't get better, but I still enjoy the game from time to time when the matches are done properly. Then again, I'm only a casual player.

Usually a dollar a week. As long as I find the game enjoyable, I'll spend a little to support it.

I am always willing to pay to play a game I like. Not pay to win, but pay to support the game. It's why I buy skins in League of Legends. There is no need to pay at all in that game but I want to support its development so it can stay great. My hope for this game is that they move toward that model.
Make a great game, make it balanced, make it free, then people WILL pay for skins....this game right now is sonewhat pay to advance/win, ut could be so much more though. I still love it though, always been a sucker for giant robots fighting....

I am surprised no one admits to being a whale. LOL, there are hangers out there that are obvious, but players wont admit to spending thousands. come on guys, you spent it, admit it. show us how proud you are for forking over thousands of dollars for a game.

Yes, $1.99/0.99 gold deals. Probably will go for premium when my silver runs out.

Not sure what the other leagues look like, but in champions it is pretty small group who you can see as really big spenders (with multiple mk2 ST spectres, etc) - very much recognisable usual suspects. I think 6% seems about right

Tread easy here all we have a new COC since this thread was started and a few post on here are borderline. Dont take the bait. But the post is fine. Threads like these are what many new people will look up when they join the forum. I think a lot of people join when they start to encounter major issues at the big transition points (like moving up a league, especially to Masters). They're more likely to use the search function and to do searches on specific topics including spending strategies, matchmaking, and squads. If this was a necro on how to use Tarans, no one would mind and it would seem natural that someone was just adding in their 2¢ on the topic. I feel like this is the inherent problem with the new COC is that the whole rants classification part is very insidery and can be used to easily against newcomers, which creates a feeling if exclusion. I mean someone just joined, this is their very first post, it is not only innocuous but trying to be helpful with an article link and instead of a welcome there is a pseudo-warning. I feel like I'm seeing more new members get treated like trolls right out of the gate because newer players care about (and are more frustrated with) topics that older members have long since moved past. Outside of blatant and egregious trolling, it seems like it's be better to let folks hang for a while instead if instantly hitting them with COC-stuff. And members who just joined are also unlikely to even know that the acronym COC stands for.
