Hi all. A little about me. I've been playing on iOS for six months ish, level 30 bot levels are mostly around 7-10 with weapons from 7-12. I prefer fast, mobile platforms, but since the new MM have mainly used a Galahad and griffins. I'm a capper first and foremost. If we don't have three beacons at any point it's loosing so I'm all about getting, keeping and fighting for beacons. I couldnt care less about kills and damage, I like to win. Most games I'm top three and notice that about 90% of my games I match kills for beacons 1 for 1.
Campers and players that ignore beacons will always earn my disrespect. But I appreciate the value of having one switched on sniper. Not a gormless camper or popcorn chucker.
I mix up my hanger fairly regularly, or did before the change! I used to love doing low matches in just a Cossack.
I've had the same journey as many. Loved the game being a mech fan, realised quickly it was full of folks who just don't get how it works! Got clubbed mercilessly and hated it. I gave in and grinded hard to get geps and magnums and started down a route that led me towards becoming what I had hated!
I realised this, so instead focussed on beacon capping and team play rather than charging at noobs with magnums blazing. I kept my weapons at 3 and only fired when fired upon, I ignored hapless players for beacons. But Soon this got boring and I still felt like I was still slowly becoming a clubber, so I ditched the geps for low matches in Cossacks only, silver matches in golems and gold matches in grifs and rhinos.
I'm a solid player, but often outgunned these days. I'm on a mad bot upgrade charge at present and find myself using mainly missile weapons now. Aphids, orks etc.
In real life I'm a 49 year old veteran gamer, halo fan, muso, teacher and student (yup!) and dad of two young girls, which always come first.
