If I win I would like a Haechi. I’m on a iPod so that’s iOS l think. I don’t really know how this works. But basically I blocked enemy damage with all of my shields, keeping friendly robots able to damage enemies when I was out of range. I hope I win. Btw love this game!!!!!

#WRassist My video:
In my video, I use Lancelot with Ancile and 2 Ecu to protect my teammates. So I use a total of 5 physic shields (3 built-in shield and 2 ecu), 1 Energy shield (Ancile) and my own bot's body (Lancelot is large so I can cover my teammate) to protect my teammates.

Protecting a Blue Leo from enemy fire with my Gareth's shield. A nice action shot, you can even see the punisher bullets sparking off my shield. Pilot ID: 3M752Y Platform: Android Requested Bot: Spectre Nice shot man Just a reminder that Y’at already said that Spectre and Stride are not available in this giveaway. You may wish to adjust your choice if you want to have any say in the bot you could receive if you win. I only say this cause I like your pic and it’d be a shame if you were disappointed...

I didn't get to use Raijin's physical shield at all since the reds had orkans, but the two anciles that I put on it gave it considerable regenerative energy shield capacity. My strategy here is to soak up as much damage - both energy and physical damage so my team can survive, attack, and get our team the advantage. Platform: iOS Player ID: 431MXD Prize: Spectre Also, read the contest rules on the supplied link. Spectre and Strider are not available in this giveaway

#WRassist as mentioned Assisting your teammates before the final goal is key for winning . So definitely in War Robots there are multiple ways in which your actions leads to victory. So pilots here are my assists. #.Raijin capping + defending beacon from opponents natasha zeus. With raijin supreme power 2×physical +anclie shield. #.Natasha assisting mates from anclie and physical shield so my mates can just deal damage no return damage +capping beacon .Avoiding all punishers and RDB. #.Leo taking out enemy's fujin anclie sheild with Leo's thunder in order my mates can deal damage. So pilots these were my assists. Prize wish :Haechi. Id: QBUAGM. (Android)

War Robots is not only about playing by yourself, you actually play with others against others. Being a team player is a big advantage and often means the win over a loss, so therefore I really like this challange.
Videolink:
In the video I show, how even beginners can protect their team mates with a Schutze and an Ancile. I simply stayed close to to players or stepped between them and the enemy. I was able to protect them from different type of rockets, so they could take out others players. Good fun!

#WRassist In the first image, I am in a carnage ancile/thunder, protecting the griffin orkan/magnum. We capture the enemy's home beacon early in the game, but eventually die (image 2). However, the enemy leaves their flank open while defending their home beacon, and I capture their side beacon in image 3. Later in the game, our team captures the other side, forcing the enemy back into their home alley. (I learned this flanking tactic from War Robots University) ID : UNRT9P iOS Preffered Prize : Haechi

Teamwork between Punisher Fujin (me) and RDB Griffin (friendly blue), we defended the central beacon in Yamantau the whole game. Fujin's ancile protected us many times. Punisher shredded anciles and RDB strike after enemy's ancile depleted. The game ended victorious with RDB Griffin scored top damage. Please see the video till the end.

Hello, here is my strategy for assisting my teammates. Step 1: Pull out shield Step 2: Run in front of teammate Step 3: retreat together Copy-Paste this into google: file:///C:/Users/Lukas/Documents/New%20folder/WarRobots_20180201153803_2[140].gif Player ID: ATKQ9M, android Thank you! I hope I win! That link doesn't work, it 'points' to a file location stored on your device, and people won't be able to view that file since they don't have your device. Here I march my Rhino into the line of this ancilot's fire, and the aphid volley of an approaching jesse, allowing my mighty shield to protect the deathbutton griffin behind me. I was also able to use my own weapons to drop the ancile shield protecting the lancelot from our rockets, giving the griffin a chance to finish off the heavily armored opponent. On Dead City I caught screenshots of the tail end of a crazy struggle for red's home beacon. Advancing behind a friendly cossack, my fujin was not swift enough to save it from an opposing deathbutton griffin, though I was able to avenge my hopping ally. My ordeal was not over though, as a trident-toting-'tasha caught me with my shield down while I tried to close in, and blew off my left punisher. The natasha played peek-a-boo for a while as we kept the beacon neutral, waiting for my remaining weapons to unload, then advanced through my shield with plans to finish me off. I was saved at the last second by the timely arrival of Demix5 who managed to hold the beacon after the approaching carnage emptied their thunders into my shield, and me. Fellow Pilots, In sports, players are credited with an “assist” for an act that immediately precedes a teammate’s scoring play. In our game, there are countless ways to create opportunities for teammates - beacon running, shielding, double teaming, flanking, and more. The common thread: this kind of play is selfless. It’s helpful. It makes your team win. In honor of all those pilots who do the little things, Pixonic and War Robots University are teaming up to recognize your efforts with a FREE ROBOT of your choice. The theme for week one, beginning TODAY February 5th, 2018, is "Taking One For The Team." You will use a shield, either physical or energy, to assist a teammate. I suggest viewing Dr. Droopy Sack's brilliant video dissertation on the double Ancile Carnage. To enter, capture screenshots or video of your work, and share it as a reply on THIS THREAD. Contest rules and advice at: warrobotsu.blogspot.co.uk/2018/02/the-art-of-assist-begins-today.htmlHave a great week, Dr. Yat Sorry for what might be a stupid question but do I just post a reply like I am now to enter the competition and how much longer is it open for pls n thx?

I have to admit that this challenge was a lot of fun. I wanted to do something a little different from everything else posted to date, so I built an ancile-ecu golem. As posted in the pics below I found an ancilot and decided I was going to be his wing man. We ended up taking the side beacon after a short skirmish and held it for about 4 minutes while ultimately taking out 6 reds (before they decided they had enough of us and kamikazed my butt). While I was able to provide some offense with this setup, I really enjoyed coordinating my movements to try and keep my teammate alive for as long as possible. Ultimately it was a winning formula in this case that helped us win. Whether or not I get a robot this time, I look forward to more challenges in the future! Hey Dr. Yat, I have a question. How would one get to be a Professor for the U? I'm not even sure if it's viable for me, but I have some interesting ideas that would be worthy of a post, at least I think so.

For this batch of submissions I'm trying more for the instructive value angle of the contest. When taking hits for the team, sometimes you have to just hold position until someone comes to help you. These two screenshots are the before and after of when this is the case. Standing just beyond the "doorway" to the far moon deathmatch spawn, my rhino and allied blue were flanked by a deadly duo; a deathbutton griffin and a taran bulgasari. I did my best against my heavily armored opponent, but failed to defeat them with my burst damage, and the griffin finished off my ally behind me. I had no choice but to put up my shield and take attacks from both sides, but it was worth it when blues dropped in to finish off the occupied and weakened reds. Blue moved on to win that match, 23 - 22, despite a blue tanker's prompt sacrifice of four bots. Even with three energy shields clustered in one spot, flanking is still a danger to be aware of. Let the above screenshots be an example of why blindly trusting the strength of three ancile shields to hold off an aggressive assault won't always work out well. All three of us were watching for the dangerous orkan haechi hiding on the opposite side of the tower to peek out, when the real assault came from the side. Clever girl. Be aware that attacks on your shield should not be taken lightly, especially if the attacker is unknown. Sometimes, taking one for the team doesn't open up an attack of opportunity, just a chance for some of the others to get out alive. In this example, my rhino's sacrifice allowed an rdb griffin and a tulumbas doc to escape electrical death from this lancelot and carnage, who were awesome at alternating anciles to absorb all the attacks.* Their rockets rendered redundant by careful coordination on the part of this MERK duo, my allies would quickly have fallen, so I stepped forward as if to rush through their shields (another MERK was in waiting around the pillar, preventing this actuality) and the doc and griffin were able to escape and attack reds elsewhere. This action occupied these two reds and saved two blues, but the MERK squad handily won the match anyway. Name: WerdnaTheRed Pilot ID: RCY7FY Desired Prize: Hover *If I had better screenshots showing this, I would have preferred to submit MERK's teamwork for this week's art of the assist. I don't think either ancile actually broke at all; it was impressive. Also, that was some pretty good alliteration I got in there

Sorry for what might be a stupid question but do I just post a reply like I am now to enter the competition and how much longer is it open for pls n thx? Not a stupid question - yes, just reply here. For two more weeks. I tought that there would have been a different theme each week, am I wrong? Will the actual theme (protect teammates with shields) be up for all 3 weeks? How many winners will be chosen (I read six)? Everything seemed to be clear to me, but now I'm a bit confused thanks!

#WRassist In the first image, I, in my ancile/thunder carnage, support a Galahad by blocking some orkans and piñatas that were meant for him/her. We approach the enemy's side beacon (image 2) and finish off the death button whose rockets I had blocked in the first image. There we wait for the beacon to switch, and when it does, we take the beacon, and start draining it of its points (image 3). ID : UNRT9P iOS Preferred Prize : Haechi

Hi all! This contest caught my eye from its announcement and I decided that i should give it a try. I find it very positive that it focuses an teamwork and sportsmanship. Instead of trying a setup that is full on supportive (nothing wrong about that btw ) I wanted to showcase how teamwork can be achieved with bots that we pilot regularly. No bot is better at support than the Lance IMO and I wanted to show how it can be used as a proper supportive unit. I think I finally have that footage. On the actual video now: We are playing TDM. I spawned in an Ancilot and a teammate next to me spawned in a Tempest Fury. I think that is a great opportunity to play as a team! After a few friendly hits and getting in front of him, he gets the hint and we begin marching forward, deeper into enemy territory. The good thing about this duet is that it makes the best of both bots. The tankiness of the Ancilot plus the devastating firepower of three Tempests (which increases the closer you are to your target), make it very hard to take down. So, if you have a similar situation next time be sure to try it. It is a very dynamic duo! I hope you enjoy the video as much I enjoyed making it. In the unlikely event that my submission gets chosen here is the relevant info: Platform: Android ID: T3IYWI Preferred Robot: Bulgasari
