If these tasks run simultaneously, people will be jumping in and out of squads to update their progress every match. This is going to be interesting, since by that rationale you will have the win task for the Haechi done by the time you finish the win tasks for the Carnage. That definitely makes this event less of a grind fest since you will only need to 42 wins, 170 kills, 212 caps and lots of event task updating to complete all the tasks. Running the tasks simultaneously also discourages beacon swapping and suicide beacon runs. Why, because you will get credit towards all 3 task types each game. So assuming an average of 3 beacons, 4 kills and a 50% win ratio you will only need to complete 84 matches in order to win all of the prizes. This seems too good to be true in my opinion. I really hope I'm wrong but I think the only reason it looked like the events would be concurrent is just to show them easier in the video. I can't imagine a scenario where Pix is making it easier to obtain a $300 bot. Really hope I'm wrong though.

Hey I just watched the video of the prizes thank you seantf!
I have to apologize to Pix and Mail.r.u. top 1 thru 3 is tougher but they have dramatically reduced the amount of wins you need so I think that balances it IMHO.
I'm not a bigger fan of it but I have to admit when I'm wrong!
Okay you win this time evil cat but this isn't over...;-)
Happy Hunting.

Task list as per the Prince. I think this is the correct one. Winning within 3rd place will count. What makes you think that? It’s not official. Why is everyone trying to sell assumptions as hard facts? Hi Berserka, The video "seems" official b/c it shows the event tasks with the new lunar new year styling in the background, as if it was taken from an actual in game reel. So yes, I have based all of my particular comments on the assumption this video is accurate. It could be fake and filled with misleading information... absolutely a chance. However the video is much harder to fake than the jpg floating around of the new event task list. That is easy to edit in photoshop, but the video would require much more skill to fake. Does that make sense? You could be correct. These are just my thoughts. Best to you!

I ran some numbers if you destroy 3 robots average for the destroy challenge , 3beacons per game for the beacon catch, win about 60/ of your games and maybe 40 perc. In the first 3 challenge , I would need 1100 games in 18 days.(about 11000 minutes of gameplay) , who has the time

I really want a redeemer, I can live without a Haechi.
Is it possible to complete the redeemer tasks playing 2-3 hours a day, I average 500-800 activity a week on a 'normal' week... I can't do much more because kids, wife, job etc.
Someone talk me out of it now before it's too late and I set myself up to be disappointed!

Depending on your approach you can drastically cut that down by more than half.

I think the fundamental issue is analytics from past events. I would bet a pretty penny that a lot of people won the main prize (I will also bet a pretty penny, did so through nefarious means *cough* clubbing *cough*) and now the data to them looks like it's too easy to get the main prize, make it harder.
If NOBODY won the main prize, I think we might have difference circumstances. My opinion of course but just goes to show how toxic some types of play can be really...
sidenote: They want to dangle a carrot so people play.. Dangle the carrot too far and nobody will bite, to short and it's a giveaway that would have been potential income taken from their pockets.

If pic gives credit for these actions in custom games then clans have a huge advantage because they can fill up the red team and blue team and just have battles where beacons change hand XX times and those beacon cappers then get killed by those seeking kills. Lame for us solo players :/ Guess I’ll have to find a large clan that is interested in getting everyone gear you don't get rewards from custom games

I would play for about the same time you are indicating when an event occurs (I split it evenly between early morning and evening). I have never gone any higher than what has traditionally been the orkan (or for this event raijin) level. Having said that, I think I am an average player whose capabilities may limit my advancement. Chain tasks and the current player activity definitely have an impact on the tasks for me which eventually dissuade me to even push hard in these events. Looking back over the past year and the ever changing game dynamic, including the introduction of so much differing gear, I don't think I am at that much of a disadvantage in not achieving all of the prizes and simply concentrating on improving what I have already garnered.

It's a good thing carnage is 5th prize and not 8th or 9th. Makes it a lot easier those of us who can grind up to only the 5th or 6th task to benefit.

Looking at calnies who do not take short cuts and have similar activity levels I would say you would be close to or at about the Orkan if we consider the higher end of your scale. Now, this is a very rough number but I reckon you need about 3000 cups over the event to finish the chain. so 800x3=2400 which means close to finishing the redeemer (but note event lasts for 20 days and not 3 weeks). 500 wont do it IMO.

It could allow it, but I'm not putting anything on the backburner for a game

I'm sorry I'm new here, and I can't figure out how to post. Also, I cannot get my game to work on gameroom at all.

I'm sorry. I'm new here, and I really don't know much. My game on gameroom is not opening up at all. I emailed Pixonic and no reply yet.

Only the first task is visible in the task list.

Events really bring out the worst in players :-(
I'm just finishing the magnum tasks, and it's taken me two hours. People are just quitting , which in TDM is extra damaging to the blues. Then there's all the tankers.
Anyway! I'm just wondering, won't the triad random mode mess make completing the cap tasks REALLY painful?
Unless I play koth but ... I'd rather poke my eye out.

I've decided I'm not participating. I might not even log in again until this sham of a mockery of a travesty of a sham is over. I kicked off a 4+ day upgrade last night, which coincidentally depleted ALL of my remaining Ag, and that might just be it for me for the next 2.5 weeks. This game is bad enough since the release -- the event BS just makes it thoroughly intolerable. I might log in just to collect supply drops -- or I might not, so as to avoid the temptation to watch ads to complete daily tasks. Haven't decided yet. The only good thing to come out of any of this is that if and when I do log in again, I'll have a lvl 12 Ember on top of my fat boy.

Have to admit, going for the Haechi is tempting. But it would also likely require all of my free awake time to grind for it.
(Looks like I came back just in time for this event)

The grind for this event is insane
To get the Haechi you would need
Wins-266
Robots Destroyed-1046
Beacon Captures-100

The grind for this event is insane To get the Haechi you would need Wins-266 Robots Destroyed-1046 Beacon Captures-100 It's even more insane than that: Having to win and place in top three so much is a real kick in the crotch. Given that the games are so messed up. I'm stopping at the CarnieBaby . I have plenty of Gusts and Tridents and Orkans. I wouldn't mind a Redeemer and of course a Haechi but there's no way I can justify that amount of grinding. No bot is worth that much time. Time is a much more important currency! Having said all that-best of luck to everyone going for it ?

I guess the plus of winning 2000 components at a time is if you already have 8000, you just need to win one task to get the item.
