So I have Carnage and Ancelot and I felt for ages something was not right then I saw this video explains it all.
So the Ancile is lot lot more underpowered then they say .

Wow...I thought the shield on my ancelot was dropping fast. Even in 1-on-1 I have been surprised. Nice job documenting this! Did you send the video to Pix with a bug report? Not my video. But very well done video I read comments Stew Pendous and phonix seen it and reporting it. Point is the Ancile does not protect you for amount it suppose to. It is falsely advertised in protection it gives. It is Weak. maybe they noticed it allready that's why they gave it fast recharge rate. But still means Carnage is well underpowered .

Could it be that 64k is the total damage an anicle can take? I have damaged part of many an anicle while the other part is still working. I've seen me fire 2 salvos of aphids staggered and another guy fire Pintas from the side. His blast hit between my Aphid blasts. My Aphid went through, then his salvo bounced off of the side, then my other Aphid went through.

As is it's one of the few viable mediums in gold. If it gets buffed it would be like running a fast Fury with an Ancile.

Outside of the noteworthyness (lol) of the video evidence itself. Which is very substantial. I felt the Carnage shield has limited it so much, I pretty much gave up with mid support tridents. I still occasionally run it with thunders for a change of pace, but I have other bots more effective for me.
*Wow - whoever did that video hopefully is in video editing, that was an Outstanding video from an editing & detail perspective!

That is a very compelling video. I hope you submitted it to Pixonic for review and, hopefully, action. Whitecrow666, are you on iOS or Android? I run an top-tier ancilot on Android and it seems to take damage as it is supposed to. I regularly test it out on Yamantau, by going to the center beacon when I know there is a TT Fury covering that spot. So far, every time the Ancile has absorbed the full volley from the TT Fury without any pass-through (assuming no other reds shooting at me). I have not tried my Carnage in a long time because I found it was way too squishy, but maybe it was partially due to a bug with its built-in ancile. Again, very good job with the video; lots of good data and evidence!

Yep, don't know what it has been, but I've seen my Carnage shield just disappear a few times, when hit with something. Are you sure it is Thunder? Anyway, then the recharge rate is ridiculously low, I won't generally ever have fully (or even 50%) charged shield in that match, unless I have to travel accross the map without being shot at (yeah, right...). The only thing shield is good for is one attack, and after that it's almoat like playing a shieldless bot. Granted, 1-on-1, that one attack often equals one kill, but getting that 1-on-1 chance with Thunders is tricky on many maps, and regardless of map, after that 1 moment of glory Carnage is just too squishy. Almost like playing a Shutze.

On Android, I always 2-shot a Carnage's shield with a Thunder from 500 m away. I thought that was a known issue with the Carnage's shield, since it is relatively weak and so large it catches ALL of a Thunder's shot even at max range.
Still, now that I think about it, that should not happen at the tier I play at. A top-tier Carnage's shield should be able to absorb 4 full Thunder blasts before going down (~64,000 damage). Instead, it ALWAYS takes me just 2 shots once the Carnage is in Thunder range, regardless of the level of the Carnage it seems.
Not good. I am going to contact Pixonic about this too.

On the plus side, the increased number of ancile bots in game makes the Carnage less evident: once it was "look, two bars, there's a carnage behind that corner".. now, if you don't notice the recharge time, might actually be a lancelot and people give you a few seconds of doubt. That said, against heavies on long maps is almost pointless (and I'm a fan), but I had some success in running a medium only hangar lately (thread in general discussion) where I don't see so many TT furies.

I thinck the main thing from this is that the Carnage is bugged .
It should be taken lot more damage and doing better.
The reacharge rate for Fujin and Ancelot has made them still decent viable.
But my Anceot vs lancelot with a thunder is a joke.
Two shots thunder and my sheild is down.
The lancelot thunder is far suprior and god knows why people are moaning about Ancelot when it sheild can be took down two shots.
I fear the Thunder lancelot.
