Yet another "help with hangar pls" Thread & other questions

Well, first of all: sorry for another thread about this topic.
I read the Wiki and the Forum for a while and already got some ideas, but still some questions...

I just got my 5th slot (payed 10 bucks to speed up the process - devs need to eat too and currently I run:

Cossack (5) - Taran (6)     - usually the first bot I bring out to cap (cuz nobody else does^^)
Gepard (3) - 3xMagnum (6)     -well, because hes op
Boa (4) - Thunder (7), Orkan (6)
Boa (4) - Thunder (6), Orkan (6)   -my two beloved knifers
Golem (4) - Trident (6), Tulumbas (6), CRV Pin (6)  - wanted to try "mid-range support". Love the Trident.

atm I am upgrading the Thunder on the second Boa to 7.
At the Tier I am currently in I feel quite comfortable (maybe due to mostly clueless enemies ). With win% around 80 I think I can carry my weight, and mostly also my team (usually getting 5-10 Gold per win).

Average damage is bit over 300k (max was 770k), could be higher, but someone has to cap.


Now I am unsure what to do next. I read that my Tier includes 4/6 mediums, eventually a bit more (the one level 7 thunder didnt seem to bump me up). Can I upgade some more? I assume you're playing High Bronze, and just starting to see the Yamantau map. In silver tier, things are quite different, you will see more competent heavy bots, and more plasma weapons flying around, which might kill your Cossack rather easily. In gold tier, nobody ever runs Cossack anymore. Oh and in silver tier, you will tend to see high level gep/magnums which terrorize people. What I did was I hang around in high bronze, then jump straight into high silver with heavy bots (Leo/Griff) by upgrading weapons to lvl7.

How high can the Cossack go? Would prefer speed+health over a harder hitting Taran...I wouldn't bother, as I mentioned, Cossack is practically useless up tier

And what would the next Tier be? I assume Level 6 Mediums with L8 weapons? (already starting to build up for that, 2 level 6 Boas already in storage)Next tier would be low silver, which you will see more heavy bots and some mediums, my advise would be start building your heavy bots hangar in the background, and hang around in high bronze for farming silver and gold (since you do well there)

From which Tier on are Heavies usefull (already have a RDB Griffin in Storage (level6 with level6 weapons)) - I read that they dont stand out at low levels (also my level 4 boas shred unexperienced griffin pilots by the dozen...^^). Starting in high silver, with heavy bots around lvl6 bot/lvl7 weapons. Personally recommend a bunch of griffs since their weapons can be directly placed into Rhinos. I had 3 griffs and 2 leos when I started.

Then the WSP Bots... I definately want a Fujin, just because he looks cool - which Tier is best for this beauty? (I know that Carnage and Rhinos can go all the way up to high gold, but I doubt thats the case with the Fujin - but I sometimes see some in my Tier and they excel in holding Beacons -given Teammates are clever enough to use the cover). Fujin is a peculiar bot, when on the right hands its a beast, but most of the time its too squishy (especially in more open maps) And the weapon slots are odd numbered, 3 medium hardpoints, so it will disrupt your other line-ups of Griffs/Rhinos. But Fujin with 3x Orkans in small maps are insane. Personally I think its a niche bot, and you're better off with Rhino for hangar stability and survivability.

edit: yesterday I played in a squad with another guy (one of those who run level 6 heavys with crap weapons *sigh*) - we got teamed against a 4xsquad and then a 6xsquad who where running Bots from level 8-12 (Carnages, Furys, Britbots etc) - they obliterated us within minutes. Was that just bad luck, a joke from the MM or is it just not reccomended to form small squads (the guys in our team where around our level, went up in smoke fast as we did^^).

edit2: and any advice on future Gold purchases? Not that the question will be pressing soon (broke as hell)... I just planned to save up, in case the legendary Protolot will be as OP as expected (and a gold weapon -as I expect...). On the other hand I saw some guys wreck havoc with those Aphids... (and I loved the Spirals when I started - cornershooting with a Patton was the thing for me when I started. Sadly they lost a lot of efficiency, Knifers are just more effective...). Forget about protolot, build your hangar for the now, not for the future, not at least for your level. I would say go for more Orkans, it will always be good in this game, personally I would say you need at least 4x Orkans. After that go for gold bots (Galahad/Lancelot/Fury). Don't bother with Aphids for now, Aphids need to be high level 9-10 to be devastating.

And last question: I was thinking bout a Hydra for my mid-range support Golem (the reload time of the tulumbas doesnt quite match the trident and CRV - Hydra seems more fitting). But I didnt found much praise for this weapon. Opinions? Please don't bother, WSP is better kept for Tarans (personally I would highly recommend 4 of these), then go for WSP bots.
