If new players stay then they will spend some money like darkknight said and they get a boost from the high-level players buying silver lv6 weapons/bots via trading.
By the way Pigsonic does things, if they do add the trade feature, it'd cost a small silver fee to do the trade from both players, once the trade is accepted from both parties then they have to wait for a certain time frame for the traded items to arrive in their inventory and they can speed it up by using gold.
LEts assume I am a new player , now I am facing a tanker with let’s say lvl 8-10 weapon.
what I own is a base lvl griffin, leo etc with some punisher ,molots . Now after facing even a kumiho I will give up or will buy that bot , if I can’t buy then I’ll quit the game instantly.
Now if someone is good enough to give me lvl 6 tarans or mags I still might like to play a little. And if I am able to keep up even a little then game is addictive so I’ll play more. So I might spend some 5-50 dollars in a month or two depending upto what I got. Now War Robots is a famous game,a lot of newbies starts lvl up their bots and when some high lvl bots kills me against whom no matter how much skill I got I can’t win I’ll rather quit , however for above situation ( if someone gives me some stuff) then I’ll play.
So so this way I can spend some money in the game even if it’s s little. And when the game becomes more famous like coc once was ( maybe it still is ? Idk) new players would increase and so would the gradual increase in the $$. There aren’t many whales ,however there are far too many players who can spend s little money on game . It would be a long term benefit though, however pix is short sighted .. they wanna milk away millions instantly while they may make billions in little more time if hey improve the game
I'm not saying it's a bad idea, I actually think it's a good one that heavily benefits players although it can be abused & exploited. The main killing point to me is how it can potentially undercut Pix's profit margin. I highly doubt they seriously consider this feature imho. Then again, they did just say they were going to re-balance the old bots, that was a surprising announcement based on their recent history and I think they're passing over more profitable choices, so who knows.
They literally just released an OP weapon that costs $150. When will you stop believing what they say and start believing what they do.
